Thanks so much. Necessity breeds innovation as I have had tinnitus (ringing ears) in both ears (at two different frequencies, mind you) for over 25 years. Without background sounds to block the noise I would have gone insane years ago. Ergo, I am motivated to find and record unique soundscapes

I used to live on Bluff Mountain and played music in Pigeon Forge. I have heard some rain storms that felt like they shook the ground under you. I went camping one week in Elkmont and it rained on me for 5 days in a row. But, I slept so good ! I love the Smoky Mountains and have many wonderful memories. Thank you so much for this beautiful sound of nature and sharing it with us.
For the "Others" who are trying to find the best rainfall video, I think this is the one, and I've listened to them all. Thanks again Brad McBride.
This video helps me to sleep sometimes. My little doggy liked it too. Listening to it helped him to relax and fall asleep when he got very sick. Thank you.
God this is the best one I've heard. The rain hitting leaves, animals, and even a vehicle can be heard. It's so much more calming than any others.

This is awesome. I miss forest rain. I especially miss the sound of rain in a river with a nearby waterfall... that's some soothing and relaxing sounds.

This is the best rain ever. I listen to it every night. It puts my son to sleep in minutes. Right now I am pairing it with Chopin and a glass of Pinot Noir--it's magical. Thank you.
This is great. I suffer from pretty bad tinnitus. Having 'white noise' helps cancel out the constant screeching in my ears. I have always loved the sound of rain on a tin roof, so this is perfect. so relaxing. Thank you.
I have tinnitus because I was born with the condition. It was on and off for years, and then later, non-stop. I completely understand. This is so peaceful.

A nice rain shower emulates White Noise - which helps children ( and us adults) sleep. However, I personally prefer rain sounds to White Noise! Glad it helps ;:^)
I've been under tons of stress and family problems recently, unable to stay asleep more than an hour or two at a time. I put this on my bedroom stereo last night and slept through the night for the first time in weeks and woke up feeling refreshed. This is the best rain video I've ever heard! Thank you so much.

I listen to this all the time at work, it helps me concentrate. Lately I've been listening to both this and a Bluegrass Radio Station on Spotify at a lower sound level. It's really nice.

I have the fan on me, it almost feels like the wind from the rain, if only I could smell the rain, it would be so nice, I just love rain in nature! The sounds of the birds singing is so cool, those two things go together so well.
This is my happy place, my go-to getaway from politics, coronavirus, all things sad. I put foam earplugs in, then headphones tuned to this url, and I go to a pleasant peaceful relaxing place, a sweet home where life makes sense. It is a healing place, a Rivendell, a haven of hope it gets me through..I bless whomever it is that created this sacred space.Thank you so much.

This is fantastic. Last summer I took a vacation to Gatlinburg Tenn. and went on a 6 mile hike up a mountain in a medium to moderate rain, just like in the video. Listening to it brings back the aromas of the rain-soaked mountain to my memory. Thanks for the post.

Brad McBride One of the few things I enjoyed about the 13 hr drive from Alabama to Michigan when my ex and I were together was the shale deposits you see when you're coming into and out of Tennessee..I was wondering if you'd ever had the opportunity to see any of those on your travels.They're beautiful when they're dry..but when it's been raining...there's no words to describe how beautiful they are.
I was in Smoky Mountains for a couple of days last June and it was raining there just like this amazing video, this video reminds me of every amazing second I spent out there.

I love this one.Turning it up really brings out the details in the aural experience and I'm suddenly transported to the woods.I can smell the pine feel the slippery wet leaves on the ground under foot.The crisp snap of branches and the subdued bird sounds in the dreaming rain.

Most sound videos don't come with actual footage. Just a static picture. I have trouble sleeping and have for some time. I have always needed a fan or some other soothing sound to drift off. This is perfect especially for someone quite fond of rainy days over sunny ones. Listening to even a few minutes is all I need to drift off. Thank you.

i have witness this 1st hand.....my mother lived in gatlinburg mountains...the air is chrisp and clean and the rain sounds great...wife and i got married at Brookside resort..with a cabin by the creek...it was heaven on earth.

This is my favorite rain track, and thanks so much for providing it.
Your video, this one is the best in this category. I have to say this with all honesty. There are several factors: Gentle rain, the sound of the flowing water, and gentle ( not shocking) sound of the roll of thunder. It reminds me of India's south west monsoon. As a child I used to play in the rain ( of course, when my mother is busy in the kitchen), making boats of paper and sending down the streams of rain water This video has given me that sense of bliss and careless childhood once again. It helps me to study / sleep depending on what I need to do.
One request, if you can make this video a little bit longer, of ten hours, so that I can sleep longer on weekends. I like rain sounds in particular.Thank you again. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED VIDEO. It is pure and timeless joy!

i just ordered and downloaded this and "rain on a tent" from your site. i bought a new mp3 player specifically for them and they sound absolutely AMAZING!!! so crisp and clean and just like i'm there. i have been sleeping so great and the other night i was mad when i woke up in the morning because i fell asleep in like 5 minutes and didn't get to listen. that NEVER happens to me. you've saved me brad and i love you!! i have listened to other things before but nothing has ever worked until i found you. i am telling all my friends about you! you really don't know what a huge deal this is to me. laying in bed for hours and hours, looking at the clock and knowing that in a hour you have to get up and you've been awake all night is very depressing and anxiety producing. since the first time i listened, i have been sleeping so great that i'm frankly shocked but i an sooooooooo happy and grateful!! just wanted you to know. you rock the planet!! also.. i had no issues with the download, it was super fast and easy.

It was so bad that I began researching on how the human brain falls asleep. So, I made sounds that one could visualize the scene. We visualize and we dream in the same area of the brain. Hi Brad, I live in the Smokies in a house with what looks like the tin roof you recorded. I'm way out back of Asheville NC. I think you've been hacked because at 4:45 am this morning I was blasted awake by a commercial for "Zip Lock" bags. Your Smoky mountain track sounds just like it does here when it rains. I did motion picture sound and concert sound for 30 years and your stuff is as good as it gets. If I put a little blusey piano in the background of the rain, it reminds me of living in Savannah, GA. Keep it up and get rid of "ZIP LOCK"

This sound brings back wonderful memories. I live in Houston, Texas, where the rain is often torrential, coming down in diagonal sheets. But since childhood I have visited the smokies frequently, and I can tell you that the rain in the mountains just sounds different than the rain on the gulf. It comes straight down and makes a silvery sound as it bounces off all the leaves in the forest.
I agree. I have been to the Smokys many times and there is a distinct sound that the rain makes.

I like this particular rain ambiance video for several reasons. 1. you can pick up the individual drips, which is so peaceful against the larger rain sound. 2. it's done in foliage and rain sounds particularly good when there are lots of leafs to drip off.
