Sorry man about getting those snails again. I am in the process of restarting my Waterbox Marine X 110.4 reef tank. My home in Florida was completely flooded and I wasn’t able to even get to the tank for several week. As bad as it is it’s given me the opportunity to start over and do something I have wanted to for awhile now. I just picked up the Trigger systems platinum sump and since you have one do you have any recommendations about the setup? Any thing you would do differently
Really hate to hear about the flooding, but glad some good may come afterwards. Hope everything else is ok. For the most part, I like the Trigger Platinum sump. If I had to do it over again, would have gone with the Geos Reef that had the filter roller. But overall it is a good sump. Some particles do get by the filter. Let me know if you have any questions.
Awe man I feel your pain. My regimen for those are manual removal too. Iv seen my bubble bee snails eat them but only at night and it takes weeks. Iv also gotten in the habit of glueing them shut almost like I do aptasia I just smother them in it 😂
Agreed That is the only way to be sure. I wish I had space/resources/time to setup a QT for corals and inverts. If I did, I would for sure go that route.
Damn. These things are the worst. I saw what you did and if that did not stop em then I know I'm not gonna break my tank down. It is just too much work. I just been killing thembas I go. I tried bumble bee snails too. There was a fish my lfs sd will work but not reef safe. I need a better tool to kill em though. Good luck.
Do you know if Bauer can kill them in a dip that’s some pretty nasty stuff for anything with a nervous system
