  • I ride from Nakuru to Marigat, in Kenya, in Africa.
First, I have to escape an ambush from journalists, and then, I enjoy a lovely day on the Kenyan roads, meeting lovely runners on the way, and having some fun after arriving in Marigat.

I don't remember if I said it in the video:
The journalists are not to blame for my last minute change of plan, I should have told them that I cannot or don't want to answer the question regarding where I am going, but I naively answered honestly, making that I had to change my plans, probably for the better, as the road leading to Kabarnet and Iten is awesome.
Anyway, please, don't blame the journalists for that. They were very nice to me, and I had to change my plans only because of my own lack of thinking when answering their questions.

As a Westerner who hasn't been to Africa (yet), I am ashamed to admit that the mass media had wrongly convinced me that nobody in Africa has anything - I was surprised to see that electric wheelchair for that man. I am grateful for these honest and open videos where there's no agenda on how you want us to view the country, it's refreshing and it's making me want to visit Africa even more.

Wonderful journey to the "runners country". And the wonderful people of Mogotio and Marigat. Your videos are showing how enlightened the rural folk are getting from improvement in communication technology to the extent of one picking you as an Emmanuel Macron look-alike!!!! Keep going Yves.

Kenyan food is so western and Middle eastern influenced, once you reach Uganda you will have a struggle, they have very aunthentic African food .As a Kenyan who travels there frequently, I can barely pick any food from their menu.Quiet a contrast yet we are immediate neighbors.
