I don’t know if you know (you probably do), the rail connecting the stake pockets is a run rail. It’s purpose provides protection from straps and chains if you were to get rub or rub another vehicle. Always hook to the underside edge of from inside the rub rail. DOT may get you if your hauling commercially at some point. They’ve gotten me once with a warning

Pretty solid trailer I think. 17 is high but show me something you can make money with that isn’t high in price right now. I like all the add ons you did. Yea one thing is I would have a welder come tack up a box around the winch so it’s more protected. I feel like I’d rip that off pretty quick

I quit asking if something is worth the price these days.. I just ask if its worth it to me. I dont buy equipment that isnt going to make me money, so the only question at that point is can the thing pay for itself? Dont feel bad about the paint issues, as even my Diamond C had some sloppy welds and wiring issues. The fact is, a ton of these trailer manufactures are located in Texas, and compete for the same labor.. you know in this day and age where nobody wants to work, that sometimes just showing up is good enough. The days of true quality are gone for now. Once people return to the labor force and demand drops, hopefully we will see some real improvements in quality. For now, I just try to focus on overall structural build on things that get beat on hard.. like my dump trailer. I hope that trailer proves to be a valuable addition to your company.. one thing is for sure, prices arent going down anytime soon. Cheers!
