I remember learning that it represents coming into full completion, just like the 12 tribes of Israel, the 12 disciples, the lady who bled for 12 years being healed by Jesus at the time when He raised the 12-year-old girl from death... and just popped into my brain the fact that a full year takes 12 months. It struck me once that, in as much as we're willing to accomplish our Father's will here on Earth, our Earth will be like heaven. Are we waiting on Him or is He waiting on us?

I really love that definition of "temptation"; a test meant to reveal the truth. Phrases like "don't tempt me with that cupcake!" have transformed the word 'temptation' into something a little less meaningful and into something sort of silly. It's hard to describe, but it's kind of like how old cartoons have successfully downplayed the truly terrifying horror of evil moustached men in top hats who tie up innocent damsels and leave them to die on train tracks - if this had happened in real life, nobody would be happy to see it in a child's cartoon.

The Sermon on the Mount has the Lord’s Prayer as part of it. 😊
Not my church just getting into a sermon series on The Lord's Prayer these past couple of weeks AND Bibleproject doing a vid about it! We just got to the section of the Heidelberg Catechism on it, this past Sunday's Afternoon Service was on the first petition, hallowed be Thy Name, and what it really means.
We are so happy that we can be a resource for you!
What a great video 🙌 with simple, but yet powerful description of this central message of the gospel ❤
I would like to add subtitles in Portuguese to this and others videos, so people who doesn't understand English can also receive this message. Is it possible?
@bibleproject keep up the good work!
Thank you for your encouragement! We are so happy that we can be a resource for you.
Very well done.
Thank you for your kind words! We appreciate you and your encouragement today.
Can you please do more
I really love that definition of "temptation"; a test meant to reveal the truth.
