@@TechCheckUK Merry Christmas mate, I've got the same motherboard and I was thinking to make a dark build, or this motherboard looks well only with white components?
Watching this a bit late but I'm about to start my first pc build and I saw that you used a lot of the parts I am using like the mobo, fans, cpu, liquid cooler and even gpu. You have massively boosted my confidence for my build and you're very thorough and great at explaining. Definitely earning a sub very helpful :)
Hi, stupid question here but I’m a bit confused with the cpu cables since the one on the motherboard is 8+4pins. So for the 4 pins, do we split the 8 pins cable on one end and what happens to the other 4 pins? Is it juts hanging there or? 15:31
Good question and yes 2 x 8 pin cables connect both 8 pins to psu and then split one into 4+4 and attach only 1 x 4 and the 8 pin to mobo and try to hide the excess mate. Thanks for watching and good question 👍
I really like the look of this build super sleek. I went with a black montech king 95 going to do white components on the inside. Wanted to do a white case but my wife talked me into a black one all good though.
Super clean build mate, really like those Fractal North cases, they are nice for people who don't want too much bling or RGB for a living room setup for example. Had a couple of Meshify cases some years back and had no problems with them, I think after building in these modern dual chamber cases like my 011 Evo it makes me a bit lazier now with cable management lol, I'd struggle with the North case I think 😂 Always love the content mate, keep them coming 👍
can i replace the gpu of the video with MSI GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER 12G GAMING X SLIM WHITE? also in my country there are not LINKUP - AVA Left Angle 600W PCIe 5.0 12VHPWR , alternative?
Hello, I just recently got the 7800x3d and was looking to get this motherboard with it but have seen so many mixed reviews. How is your overall experience with the board, what are some quick pro's and con's you could list to help me with my decision. Thanks!
Hi mate its really attractive mobo at a great price 👍 for cons you could look at lacks usb4 and 10g Internet but for me it's a solid choice especially for 7800x3d- good luck
Fantastic looking case. This is the second case I went for after thinking about the Fractal Pop line, I returned The Chalk North three days after it arrived when I saw an opportunity for a green Thermaltake Core P6 for £160. I'm 100% sticking with that the P6 now (it's too heavy to return). I feel like my mom with Kays catalogue. Have you tried a Core P6 build or one of the series? They are something else, as mentioned even without the tempered glass installed for an open config, the thing empty weighs almost as much as a full standard build. Nobody will be running down the street with it in their arms.
hey! thank you for the video, it was super helpful. I'm looking to build something similar with an aero 4090. I was wondering if you think it would be possible to have a vertical GPU stand fit in this build?
Personally I hate the vertical mounted unless it's in a large case with plenty of room from tge side panel - 4090s need plenty on room and air flow. Regards
Have you checked all connections? Have you tried a bios update? Was your psu new? There shouldn't be an issue as I've used this board 10 times and I'll be doing a another build next week with a 7800x3d also mate. Best thing to do is unplug everything with exception of 24 pin and 8 pin eps cpu cables and gpu and try reboot and then attach 1 cable at a time and constantly reboot and by process of elimination you can find what's causing it. Also try removing cmos battery 10 secs and restart. Hope it helps
Hi, thanks for such a detailed video! Thinking of building this as my first build and wondering what internal SSD you recommend if wanting more storage?
I know mate but it's what the customer wanted! Personally I would have gone all white none rgb and just let the contrast between wood and metal show it off! Appreciate u watching
helpful video. I’m thinking of doing a similar build if i fit a 240 aio at the top with some low profile ram…would a asus tuf 4080 OC fit in the case? Keep up the great builds 👌🏼
Yeah 240 AIO at the top works nice and case is really nice too to build in - max gpu length is 355mm if AIO at the top. Thanks and appreciate the support 🙏
@@TechCheckUKi just took delivery of the case today and i agree looks a lovely case. The 4080 TUF OC is 348.2mm it’ll be tight, another question if you don’t mind what was the height of the ram you used? thanks for the quick reply by the way!
Hi ! Thank you for this amazing video :) I have the exact same built in mind, except for the GPU, I was about the ASRock Taichi OC Radeon RX 7900 XTX. What do you think would be better ? This one or the 4070ti ?? Thank you in advance !
Thanks for the comment - personally the 7900xtx is more powerful and will give beat higher fps and if your going ryzen will also sync nicely 😀 BUT remember you will loose dlss3 and the software features that nvidia provide especially if streaming etc - overall it always comes down to cost and I don't think you can fo wrong with either but the xtx card also has more Vram to so could be better in long run. I appreciate the support and good luck 👍
Nice looking build, I’ve just bought this mobo and cpu, did u have to update the bios via flashback before u installed the cpu, I can’t seem to find an answer to this
I think it's a big issue if you can't install 4 screws and orientate the fan as either a intake or exhaust - I always show the connections or to hubs etc but appreciate tge feedback
'Full white pc build' Uses: 1. Case with black interior and screws 2. Graphics card with black radiator 3. Motherboard with black PCB and ports 4. AiO cooler with black mounting bracket and fan controller 5. Black PSU with black fan, ports, screws, switches on black bracket 6. Powers it with black cable 7. Outputs display with Black Display Port cable 8. Uses black peripherial cables 9. Uses black display 10. Uses black keyboard 11. Uses black mouse It's not even half black
Hi all I'm hoping u like the latest build! Personally I love all white builds ❤ what's ya thoughts?
Im making this build right now, same motherboard. Love the level of detail.
@0-60STYLE thanks mate and good luck on the build 👍 😀
This build is elegant, I love watching you building PCs, really love your kicks
Appreciate you my man thanks 😊 🙏
really appreciated the detail to wiring and wire placement.
Thank u for watching I appreciate it 👍 merry Christmas
@@TechCheckUK Merry Christmas mate, I've got the same motherboard and I was thinking to make a dark build, or this motherboard looks well only with white components?
I've used in both i prefer darker builds tbh as its mostly black pcb
Love the oak wood on the case clean build.
Thanks mate 👍
Excellent guide and build - definitely helped ease my expectations
I'm glad it could help you mate 👍
Im absolutely in love with the mother board and the case!
Nice mate 👌 thanks and yeah it turned out lovely

where do you get a cpu cooler bracket from cus i just switched from an intel motherboard and cpu to amd and my bracket was intel please help
Your cooler will have both options unless you threw it away mate - failing that EBAY
@ thank you just found it in the box gonna attempt to build my first ever pc today and using your vid as a step to step appreciate what you do
@dxrkzzfn good luck mate 👍
Good build nice and clean, the case looks nice and stylish as well especially the row of buttons on top. Well done.👍
Thanks James I appreciate it 🙏
here after seeing your b650a review, quite an interesting motherboard
would have been nice to see some benchmarks at the end..
I agree and sorry I just didn't have time - this is a great mobo and I've had everything from a 7600 all the way to 7950x3d without issue.

100% mate no problem with gpu change and I have used Linkup too there not bad at all - good luck and good luck on the build 👍

No mate 🔥 👍
great build, but im worried about the bios on first start up, i was told this board has to have the bios updated or it wont post, is that true?
Did u see me do a bios update - NO it worked straight out the box mate 👍
i pared the ryzen 7 7800x3d with the same motherboard booted it and it was running like 3-4 min and it turned off and woun't boot on anymore Help :(

Should i get a 4080 or 4070 ti with the 7800x3d for 1440p 240hz
1440p 4070ti is fine but as u already know 4080 would be better and last longer
Hi, thanks for such a detailed video! Thinking of building this as my first build and wondering what internal SSD you recommend if wanting more storage?
I always recommend on 3 different type mate as never had issues:
1- Samsung 980 / 990 pro
2- crucial t500
3- western digital sn850
Super video!!!!
Thanks mate 👍 merry Xmas
would the corsair vengeance ddr5 fit in this build
I don't kno2 as I haven't tried it mate - your looking for a lower profile ram - Vengence pro is quite tall
@@TechCheckUK okay well thank you
No worries 👍
using rgb with fractal north should be listed as a crime

@BobbyDazlerRS it's around 30-35mm mate u can also get slightly larger ones too and angle the aio so the ram modules fit nicely 👍
beautiful build. with the ram is it a2 and b2 for all ram or just that ram
