dude, I use (used) hair to simulate grass in my miniatures. you use chemical treatment for cleaning, hydrogen peroxide and then paint. another tip use Utility knife model scalpel, it is more easy for small cuts.
Bards bike gets stolen, his camera broke and he moved to another house. What we thought: "he will not financially recover from this!" What we got: the most epic terrain pieces I have ever seen!!! Keep up your great work man!

Next time you do tiles like that, maybe consider filling in the gaps with something like sculptamold or a similar DIY option. It would give the floor a more even look and hide the texture of the base. Otherwise a great piece of terrain. I really enjoy your videos and seeing how you try out new things and improve your methods.
Normally i dont bother with liking and subscribing to random videos i find which i may find interesting but youre the first in so long ive actually though: Wow this video is really relaxing and interesting to watch, least i can do is that
I appreciate you filming and posting these things not everything needs to be TV show quality to get a wonderful product and interesting video sometimes people just want to see stuff get built keep the awesomeness going
I’ve been watching you and I must say that all of your work is epic.. You be are right about not needing perfection. I just wish I had been able to get some of these epic builds. Regardless I am subscribed and I will continue to follow you and your work.. it’s so satisfying. Thank you so very much for all you do.
Joe Manganiello needs to hire this guy for his D&D room. Or better yet put him on the D&D payroll designing the sets for classic campaigns. Imagine him doing a extensive multi year build for the Tomb of Horrors campaign.
Another awesome piece, loving that your terrain is becoming a narrative for your campaign games! I can’t believe you still have cultist spares to add to the terrain too! Good.
Even tho I don't play dnd, I love your crafts because every time you show different techniques in that I utilize them in other crafting projects as well :)
Dude, I just discovered your channel through this video, you do a fantastic work and your step to step makes me réalise how affordable and you make it looks so easy!
It's nice to see how you are always trying to keep improving yourself from build to build by exploring new techniques in crafting and painting. Keep it up, I really enjoy your work! :)

If you want the tiles to look Iike they are floating. Keep the in-between cracks painted black to seem as if you are above a bottomless pit. Make the floor a puzzle too.

Man that's talent right there no way excellent job I like it can you make a jail type prison I want to start playing d&d castle ravenloft and I want to make a dungeon
Muy buenos videos✌ son excelentes consejos para elaborar nuestros propios escenarios. Saludos desde México 🍻 Por cierto a ver si vemos en el futuro algo de escenarios acuáticos👍
Yeah, the cheap spray paint is harder to spray on foam. You don't necessarily have to buy Army Painter spray, if you can find Krylon spray paints, they are of better quality than most and not too expensive.
the melting and flaws just make it look much more natural, imo :) cause in nature nothing looks perfect. every stone is different, if that makes sense.

I've been wondering about your accent for a time now.... are you from Finland?
@@filon738 I'd say he is more swedish

He has said before that he is Finnish, if I am remembering correctly.
Hadrien Menard
I’m in Sweden and that’s not any accent here, but I know a Finnish person with a similar accent
"I was slightly behind the schedule. And considering that I don't have any schedule, that was pretty bad" - favorite quote 2020 xD
"I believe many men of this age share the same, we think too much but end up doing nothing."
Dude. I think I totally needed to hear that.
Thank you.
Take action now! :D
3:12 “I activated my hindsight” This is GOLD!
Bards bike gets stolen, his camera broke and he moved to another house.

Keep up your great work man!
You don't need to financially recover from anything if you eat Öates and go fishing :D
@@BardsCraft why did you moved to another house?
Damn... Pretty much the same thing happened to Runehammer.
@@cain969 I moved home to my parents, I'll build a small house here.
@@BardsCraft how is that house coming along?

Good point, although I did like the textures of the base :)
The structure of that fibreboard is awful. Some PVA glue and sand would have helped a lot. The rest of the build is amazing though. ;)
This video taught me a lot! Thank you for showing your art and for doing your videos in English!
Applause for the washes - they work beautifully.

A very nice idea with poison arrows from pillars. Wonderful work, thanks for all.
Nice camera angles and techniques! I like how you try new things in filming as well
Thanks, my efforts don't seem to be in vain after all :D

Awesome!I tried building the gatehouse from one of your older vids today.
You are very imaginative. Nice work, your workflow is very inspirational. I am going to build a Heroquest dungeon in this style.
This is my favorite build! Other than the dwarves fortress (:
I love your philosophical musings :)
Come on!! No way is that the OG Ball of Foil!!! LOL
BTW outside wall - excellent. Love when you cut and fit angles together!
EPIC! Awesome job! I really appreciate your insight on the why and how of your crafting! Very insightful! Great advice!

Love the pillars idea. Going to make myself a set.
Nice!
Trés sympa comme construction.
Wonderful build! Thanks to you I'm stepping up my game!

This was one of my favorite builds... Omg I'm going to use my oil paints for now on
Good luck, love the oil paints!
You did a great job on that.
I like how you chop your dungeon onions
Really enjoyed this one.

Have you played Gaslands at all? I'd loved to see what craziness you could make for that game.
agree
In ending very interesting.
This is amazing! Thanks for sharing! Have you ever considered doing modern or sci-fi terrain?
Your saw is called a Coping saw btw :)
That's very creative
I am just watching a guy push a piece of rolled up aluminium into some foam, and i freaking love it haha
any subtitute to that foam? it's hard to find them in my country
We will always need your philosophical one-liners. Don't stop smoking weed.
I’ve been wanting to work on a dungeon scene too.
What if the boss is a gorgon or basilisk that can immobilise the player characters and it gets a bonus to hit a character that is already poisoned.
I smell dungeon master
For painting it with the brush- did you do a dry brush, or just light strokes?
Omg subscribed, you put stat blocks of the traps you made, fucking awesome.
Welcome!
Oil colours how work with plastic miniatures?
So what thinner did you use for the oil? Turpentine? Cool video, as always.
The traditional Army Painter/Vallejo are neither oils or acrylic paints, are they?
What is the proper usage of each one in this case?
I watched this again, I noticed you learned from the previous craft to keep your diagonal cuts close together to avoid solving the puzzle again 😂
I'm surprised by two things... ONE, how well a 'kitchen' or 'butcher' knife works with foam and TWO, how smooth those cuts turn out
Where on earth do you buy hard board?
Yeah, the cheap spray paint is harder to spray on foam. You don't necessarily have to buy Army Painter spray, if you can find Krylon spray paints, they are of better quality than most and not too expensive.
Please make some monsters. I'm missing them :( I create your two dragon project :)
Yes yes, whenever I get another good idea
@@BardsCraft im dreaming about big spider Boss :)

How does oilpaint work with minature painting? In traditionel art oil needs to dry atleast 6 month before completely dry.
I quicksaved before watching
I’m getting some serious Skyrim vibes
So awesome
9:22 that made me laugh
What is this white material?

Bard's legit the new Bob Ross right ?
Are you making each seen of your campaign in between sessions?
Brilliant
Perfect!
