This is the 3rd video of the Build. We are still awaiting the enclosure from moto electric racing but we can get started on taking the super73 apart and getting all the parts transferred to our new 5000w hub motor that is a massive 25LBS!! I typed out all the weights in the video at the end so you can see the difference that you will be adding on extra to the bike. p.s. if you ever catch a flat on your rx just use
normal bike patch kit if the hole is small enough.

Hey boss, I was checking this kit out and it mentions 190mm drop outs and torque arms but I don't see you talk about that. Did yours not come with that?
Also, how do you like the new ride dynamics? I'm looking to get the 3kw since I'm afraid adding 9lbs of unsprung weight will change the dynamics too much.

I met a marine a few years back that lost his legs in the Gulf war. He grew up drag racing at Sears point raceway in Sonoma county CA. When he found himself confined to a wheelchair he decided it was going to be fast. His wheelchair had a top speed of over 50 mph and would pull the front wheels off the ground at over 30 mph. It was very impressive. 😉
So when I do a 72 V swap with a 5000 W motor do I have to change all the wiring in my bike or can I splice
ahh, the torque arm is built into the swing arm drop out??
I think you might need to beef up the torque arms that will be a lot of power pushing through motor and you might problems in the future.
Your right. They are torque plates in the package

Is it possible to add another 5000w motor for the front wheel on your setup?
Possible but running both motors off the controller might burn out the controller and not power it very well. And the battery would be to be upgraded because it’s only 100amp max
@@MrCentralDriver It would be cool if your RX had a rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive option, like the Ariel Rider Grizzly V2 but with way more power.
The controller is only so powerful to push 10000w. I don’t think it would last. And you would also need a good battery to handle that amount of draw.
@@MrCentralDriver I like the style of the Super 73 but I also would like to go on trails and steep mountains too, that's why I asked. But also still have pedals on the bike. And maybe use an 84V battery? Would that work? Keep up with the good content Jon! 😀

With the bike and build how much has it cost you? And do you ever think it will be made illegal? Your bike for the road?
bike used was 3k. 72v system was 2400. misc parts like tires, grips, pedals, turn signals headlight etc. probably another 500

I have a little problem with my electric hub motor wheel of 3000 Watt because it seems there are two motors in one wheel so i have 3 cables blue, yellow and green, but two hall sensor cables. So now what to do with the only one ESC with one hall sensor connector?. Greetings from Gerben. PS is it possible to bridge the two hall sensors because the motors are together in one wheel?.
You only hook up one hall sensor. Mine has two hall sensors also. I only use one.

you can get 40mph out of the stock motor you need a controller/battery upgrade, another youtuber had his done.

Yes. Same size. The tire is just 4.5

Can u disassembly hub motor 5000w? What different with 1500w motor? Like stator or magnet? I see no different size with 1500w motor i think thats same ..so waste money if i buy 5000w motor for fatbike

I think thats 5000w hub motor is peak power not Rated power seller/marketing from Chinese is lier.. they sell 5000w hub motor use 3000w/1500w hub motor..

U need a 72v charger which is a 84v 5amp charger and you need the xlr plug

I also felt the same way then I got one and haven't regret it whatsoever... But I'm def afraid to leave it outside by itself anywhere, like even a quick stop at the store I don't trust people enough not to fuck with it. So, I stay on it the hole time I'm riding and never leave it outside for any amount of time. lol so kind of defeats the purpose of having something like this. But damn there fun to ride!
Slime/flatout doesn't work. Tire liners and motorcycle tube is the way to go.

Putting a 5000 watt motor on a super 73 is a terrible idea. That's like putting a V8 on a potato chip. You'd be much better off putting a 5000 watt motor on a steel Walmart bike. Super 73 frames are made out of Chinese mystery metal. A lot of times the frames show up at your doorstep already cracked from Shipping.
ill take my chances :) I built little cheap Hondas to 400whp and all was good.
@@MrCentralDriver sorry that was a little harsh, I have to give credit, it's a nice looking build,. I would take it to a welder, see what they can do There notoriously known for cracking into two pieces at the head tube. I can't imagine hitting a bump and having the head tube disintegrate at 50 mph.
See all this upgrade this n that, i anit doing nothing. i rember riding a normal MTB😭🥶. Now my fat tyre ebike 💯👍. Extra's yess lights m, guard etc. But upgrade hub etc no no 👍
