Loved your 2023 report on life in Portugal💕Very fun to watch your progress. Thanks for all you do to keep us on the journey with you all. And I look forward to 2024 progress report. Stay well, keep living the slow life for all of us who love you.🥰 Hugs from 81 yr young lady fan in Oregon USA.
It's a big reminder of just how much you've done already. It doesn't look anything like what you bought. I honestly love how much the land has changed. Yes you can see all the work put into the info structures, but I think that the garden and upkeep of the land is often overlooked. It looks well cared for, and that's the complete opposite of what you started with. I think that you guys have found your piece of land and built your own paradise. It also wouldn't be the same without all of your very entertaining animals, even the chickens.❤️
When I see all the beautiful cities of Portugal with the beautiful tiling and stonework, this and the beauty of nature and farmland are what draws me to 🇵🇹. My grandfathers homeland.
The older I get, the less I worry about what other people think of me and what I am doing. I have found people tend to complain about stuff you are doing (or not doing) based on their own insecurities, so I don't buy into it anymore. You guys are doing fine for a couple young people trying to figure out what works for you. I love your peaceful videos.
Thank you for a wonderful video. I was so happy this morning to see the title as I've been a fan since 2022 and missed a lot. The connection between you and Iwan is palatable and lifts the mood. I admire your progress and am thankful you make mistakes! Reassuring to see the principal of Learning from Doing. That's how I operate too.
Absolutely lovely video and don't listen to those who say you are taking too long, you are amazing in everything you have built together. Loved seeing this video guys, thanks for doing it xxxx ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Don't take any notice of anyone saying you's are to slow renovation most of us know what it's like living on a budget. It's better to wait until you have the money to buy materials. Also, enjoy life, friends, growing your own, ect, while renovation. Yes, you have learned a lot and us watching have also learned so much.
Such a great video! I’ve been watching for about one year and really appreciated this video to find out how your adventure began and all of the progress you both have accomplished. Most of all, your reminders to take the time to live life at its fullest every moment is so important! Thanks from Barbara Griffiths, your grateful viewer.
Hi Carissa and Iwan, Thank you for taking us back to where you started. I enjoy it again and love the music . You worked very hard to bring it to where it is now. I saw Iwan helping Luke carrying the concrete slaps the other day. It is wonderful to have friends around you , helping each other. I can't wait to see how your house will look like , when finished. Good luck . God bless you. Greetings from Namibia. ❤❤
I was only thinking a couple of days ago its funny how you make a change in your life and you look back at all the hard work you've done in the short time you've been in your new place/life!! I'm coming up 2.5 years!! And I'm living the work I've done in my garden!! Might not feel like much!! But when you think that you are starting too grow potatoes...spring onions...carrots...lemons and capsicums and sweet potatoes the hard work all starts too make sense!! P.S...RIP pine cone!! LOL!! Cheers!!
I think you are both doing a wonderful job, long may you both enjoy your life. If I was a lot younger than I am 70 years old I would follow in your footsteps, take care and have fun😊
From a fellow North Walian who discovered your channel about a year ago, it was lovely to see how the adventure started. Your videos are always very calming with beautiful music.
I really enjoyed this video, summary of your 🙌LIFE🙌 since arriving on your Land in Portugal 🇵🇹. ✨You have achieved so much in establishing yourselves on the Land & have learned valuable knowledge to help you when you build your Forever Home✨. Thank💗You 💫🌟🌈🙌👏👏👏👏🥰🇦🇺
Aww I think you guys are great! I am on a similar path, here in the Alpujarras, south of Granada. Off grid, olive harvesting 6.3 kilos to 1 litre this year, normally 5.5 ish ,but yes rain pumped them up.Love to watch your videos, love love your music.Your land is beautiful, nice being flat! Mine is on a slope,,keeps me fit tho!You have done do well in a few short years, amazing. With land I feel you keep it going, and it keeps you going. All the best uou lovely two. XX
You guys have worked hard and accomplished much. As a Portuguese, I applaud all you have done. I wish we had more like you amongst us. May life continue to bless you and your beautiful fur babies❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Beautiful videography, brilliantly presented, natural, personable and totally watchable. Thank you for all of your time taken to edit and upload - do hope next year will be kind to both of you and your furry family! Keep safe.
Hi there, thank you for letting me look over your shoulder. Your situation .. and location - in Portugal did remind me of an old saying - a stonemason did engrave it a long time ago into the inner wall of a very deep well: "Feuer und Wasser sind zwei gute Diener, aber schlimme Herrn." in translation: "Fire and water are two good servants but bad masters." Have a good Christmas time - and peaceful new Year. Greets H.
I love your vídeos. Have seing them for a year now, always with your mark of calmness, harmony with nature and slow living that is so peaceful! On your own pace you've achieved so much!!!❤
Wonderful recap and beautifully put together..I think many forget that without huge budgets for big toys and materials things take time to achieve ..Love your capture of real life ..❤❤❤
It was great to see the footage of the cosmic jellyfish like lights again, it is something I doubt you'll ever be able to explain, but I think that it was one of the most interesting and beautiful things I've ever seen. So much so that I keep finding myself thinking about it. It's just such an unusual one, you were extremely lucky to have caught it on camera.❤️
Well that was a lovely recap video, it’s great watching you develop your homestead and how you want it to be,it’s not a race, it’s your pace in how you want to achieve it and enjoying the process of it too! Thanks for sharing with us , I always look forward to seeing you each week, hope your family back at home are safe from the storm back in Wales? Xxx
Ignorance is a great addition to adventure. If hindsight were foresight, pioneers never would have been brave enough to leave home and strike out for a dream. I have traveled the paths pioneers took to cross the great plains, up the Rocky Mountains, and down to the Pacific Ocean. 3-4 months in a wooden wagon with all their belongings and a team of mules, they encountered hostile weather, hostile natives, lack of water, breakdowns and disease. Truly frightening. In your own way, you have been equally brave. Well done!!!
It’s quite amazing the amount of work you have got done to improve your lives. Not only have you improved your living conditions but you’ve taken positive steps to restore and regenerate your olive grove. Lovely to look back and see where you started with and where you are now. Have a good week, hopefully you will get more done to your new bedroom and bathroom. ❤
You have both made huge progress from what the land was like when you first moved onto it. You have done the work at your own pace and when funds allow and that is great, ignore the naysayers because their opinion means nothing. I look forward to your weekly videos because often they are the only times I see the sun because the English weather has been grey and grizzly for months.
I don't fins your videos too slow. They are immersive, which I love, many lovely visual moments, and the cats and dogs doing their thing, often in a pile of sleeping animals. It's great.
Excellent video. You have come so very far in your abilities, land and living quarters improvements. Being true to yourself is so very special and important!
I thank you for sharing your journey. I really enjoy your doings, at least you have a go at doing things you have never done before. We should all have a plot of land and grow our own food and build a home for ourselves. I’m old and I so wish that I had done what you have done a long time ago. But never mind I can watch you two and your menagerie. I hope you have continued success in your chosen home. 😁👍👏
🐈It should be called "The Albi Show"...lol 😄 It's funny how your cat's and dog's don't mind flopping around on eachother. 😸🐶 Diogo has the prettiest eyes. 🤗 💫 It was Santa, getting his reindeer fit for the Christmas run 🎅🏻 🦌🛷🎁😄 You two have achieved a lot since you've been there! Well done 👩❤️👨👏🏻
Another great video with lots of pleasurable memories of things that have made living in Portugal so good. Lots of love to you both Merry Christmas and let's hope we all stay safe and healthy in 2025. Peace to the world in 2025.
It was great to see what you have achieved again. I still remember your first video 3 years ago. Always something peaceful with lovely music to look forward to every Saturday. Thank you.❤

Congratulations on your wonderful patch of Portugal. I watch each Saturday, with Bella, the small tortoise shell moggy, who finds it fascinating, especially the chickens Best of luck for xmas and new year, from cold, damp Gwynedd.
What a treat this week's video is, your land is beautiful. What you have both created there is a wonderful haven of peace and tranquility, living off the land together with with your furry and feathered friends. You have done a great job, da iawn x
Bountiful🎄💚🎄💙🧡🎄Years, peace, happiness on land. Life should never be more than that, because lifes too short. I grin so big watching Younger generations in their 20s, 30s, 40s, escaping, running away from the scathing city life they tried to program us into. Heck i was 57 when i left. Because i was not productive enough, bean counters say..., and my wages were too high. Blessings come at times with chastening, but i survived , as you have. And as life prunes Us, we adapt, embrace, and thrive. I am a green olive tree in the house of God,the word says. That definately applies to life. My Java this morning was good, this long episode was Awesome as the rain falls here in Idaho , just a few degrees from being snow❄️. My campers new homemade woodstove glowing cozy and warm. ♨️. Happy Holidays and Blessings Iwan & Carissa, Frankie, Dodo😋 and the Furrie snappas. Lol
You have made lovely progress. Im so impressed with how much your garden skills have improved! So exciting to grow so much of your own food. As far as the nay sayers, ignore them! Sork at the pace that works for you!
I am so looking forward to 300 days of sunlight! ❤ I love Central Portugal! Soon, very soon.

The most telling and best thing is how your animals are all at peace with each other. It says a lot about you two.
I was thinking the same
I think it is angels returning to heaven. 😊
A great reminder of where you started and how far you have come ,well done you two❤
Lovely video again ❤
Beautiful! Thank you.
I showed Benjamin the pretty drawing you made inspired by a mushroom, I liked that one.
I loved hearing your history. Very nice story.
