The Flintstones came out in 61, the Jetsons in 62, I think. I was too young to remember any of the early episodes, but I remember watching The Flintstones as early as 63, based on where I was at the time. My favorite cartoon in those days was The Alvin Show. My family moved in 63, and I could no longer watch Alvin in my new home, but both The Flintstones and The Jetsons were on TV, as was Astro Boy, so I was a happy camper. And then the Linus the Lionhearted show came on, and I was enamored with that. Recently, I got a Flintstones DVD set, but was extremely disappointed because the opening intro was completely different from the one everyone`s familiar with.
This is an incredibly difficult chart. That it humbled a university orchestra isn't surprising. The original performance by the studio orchestra swings and the horns and strings fly effortlessly. It is great to hear this band attempt it.
i love both of theme songs of the two shows the Jestsons and the Flintsones are fun when play together like that. Fred " Wilma !". George " Jane help stop this crazy thing!"
Thanks, and yes, it DID! I created and conducted this arrangement for a San Bernardo Symphony salute to hometown boy Hoyt Curtin who was there, and loved it. He was, also, a terrifically nice and supportive man.
@@disneyfan94themuppetsforev95 Actually, I did 14 of his themes and he asked if he could conduct my arrangement of his "Quick Draw McGraw" selection. Of course I said yes!

The musical arrangement SUCKS... I'll even take a Sammy Nestico or even a John Brimhall first grader arrangement than this mess. What happened to the fine art of ARRANGING FOR ORCHESTRA???? Arthur Fiedler is burning his baton in a Boston cemetery right now. THIS IS A UNIVERSITY?????? Guess they never heard of DYNAMICS......JUST fff (fortissimo, junior).
This is very high quality. I showed my Grand Dad this performance. He loved it. He said it reminded him of being 7 years old and watching Fleenstones.
wow, this was a GRAND orchestra, even my DAD would like it
How it feels to hear a SiIva rip

You guys sound great! A brilliant arrangement!
It was really nice to see it in just one master shot, instead of a lot of angles!

@@lednew2010 You certainly have a talent for arranging classic Hanna-Barbera theme songs
Can anyone hear the Merry Melodies from Warner Brothers with the string section?
