Drone footage of decent waves in NASTY water. If you find yourself in a clip, and would like to obtain the RAW footage, please email me @ jesserockwell26@gmail.com
Awesome awesome footage I was wondering what you meant about the water but reading in the comments I guess the rain washes sewage from the creeks out into the ocean? this video def goes into my favorites vids because I love drone photographyand I love watching surfingbut to top it all off the music is cool
what a ridiculously fun looking wave, crowded to hell though, would ruin it a lot having to dodge and weave so many others just gagging around on the inside.
Where.... in the World (...of course..), is Sandspit?......[ What a Legendary Break!!....)... Seems... most likely..... Not a " Secret Spot", so thought I may as well ask......
my hometown, I surf there all the time. that is the most crowded I've ever seen it. ive been out on way better days (conditions) and the crowd is about half that size. it's great because it's a perfect beach break, all sand other than the rock wall but the surf starts at the end. the wave is super hollow and kinda fast. the best part is the 20 second of paddling to make it out. it's in Santa Barbara
NorthOCkook hey buddy sorry if this is a dumb question I'm not a surfer but when you say open more spots what do you mean? Like I know I Northern California remember seeing people just pull off the highway and track down a cliff side in order to get to the waves. Is that what you kind of mean?
Everywhere in Santa Barbara breaks rarely due to the island chain off our coast blocking the majority of swell directions. This spot breaks really well 3-4 times a year at best. This day was kinda average-good. This is what it CAN be like though ruclips.net/video/AlzVxfBXkO0/видео.html That's my buddy!
0:23 "Instead of paddling 20 meters around the corner, I'll just completely mistime the rock-off and jump head first into the steamrolling whitewater"... Dude.. Seriously?!?! 🙈
Not very crowded. Hell let's get out there with the other 130 guys!
Anyone else notice the surfer getting CRUSHED right in front of the Jetty at the beginning!? 0:22
Yes LOL. But looks like he made it through OK
I have the video up on a 55" TV. You can just make out his silhouette popping out and paddling around 0:29
Sure taught him a lesson though
Roman omg that's..... Wow
He did jump ever so slightly too early I thought.
Whenever I see footage of Sandspit there’s always epic surf music playing
Real surf music like I grew up with in So. Cal.
Glad you liked the music!
beautiful video and some great waves ridden!
Hi Gian
The three wave session. I'm too old for this shit.
counted 75 guys in the line up ..ya I will pass on that .
UPDATE: This video shows the last time this wave actually broke like this. Not once in 5 years
Dang really? I moved away. I lived in sb for 15 years. Saw it like this or better maybe 3-4 times
Exactly, and it probly never will again after these storms. It ruined the bar.
great footage, great toons, crazy waves, some excellent surfing (not too many drop ins) - would I going that pack? nuh! Aloha.
Last time I surfed there was the mid 1980's. crowd was reasonable back then. Great video

WHAT A PERFECT WAVE
At least it's not crowded.
blew my speakers out but good vid...
Great video by the way.
*Wow epic!*
Nice sound track.
what a ridiculously fun looking wave, crowded to hell though, would ruin it a lot having to dodge and weave so many others just gagging around on the inside.
me and my freinds paddling for hours epic, you really missed it.
Super duper Wave
The music is better than the surfing!
Awesome, glad you like it!
Jesse Rockwell anyway you have a track list?
In the description of this vid ruclips.net/video/V-e4mOFmf2M/видео.html
Oops! Thanks
northCALIFA not in the description of my vid, but the one I linked. It's '14 greatest surf tracks' or something like that.
this spot is fridge mad!! subbed
Too crowded
Which song is the first one? It's definitely not Road Runnah. The song rips though.
Nice vid! Can anyone say who the Misirlou cover (2nd track) is by on here?
Don't go, you'll never catch a wave for those of you thinking about it that never been there . Just don't.
Bar is gone from the storm. Don't waste your time . Walking out there
Fuck yes pointy perfection

this looks like a pool wave
Novelty
I wonder if there's a left like this?
nice music
That crowd is worse than trestles
+Hoof Hearted I surf lowers all the time. But I have to admit nothing gets worse than sandspit when it actually breaks
lol rincon gets so packed tho
38 years of living in San Clemente, nothing is worse than trestles ; )
joegebhard888 reminds me of the fucking snapper crowd
I googled that place. That is mental.
How many people here are actually catching waves do you reckon?
Tony Stokes only like 40% catch decent waves and its the same 10% who get 75% of waves
Too much traffic. They really need to open more surf spots

Used to be fun without all the KOOKS like 25 years ago. Those were the days growing up in SB.
Hi Axel
what's the name of the first song ?
awesome action just a tad far away consistently. Get Safely more aggressive. killer vid.
Where is that wave?
Sandspit. Santa Barbara California
RIP head phone users! Good bye sweet friends.
Forgot to check the audio level in Premiere, LOL
No worries bro, get video and edit.
*great
I'd rather surf 3ft onshore slop
Is this in California?
Yes.
Where in No. Cal?
Is this a spot that breaks only rarely?

That's awesome. Love spots like that. I had seen that wave of the day too, amazing!
The pack out in full force, does not look like anyones cares about surfing in toilet water?
anyone else noticed the bird disappearing at 1:57?
LOL. It's a side effect of downsizing the video from 4k to 1080p. Compression artifacts.
so crowded. what a miserable life for these guys.
Why is the water nasty, whats wrong with it?
DomoDomo14 hahah first big rain in way to long
True I guess, cool video by the way!
that's a long and grinding wave road during rush hour
0:23 "Instead of paddling 20 meters around the corner, I'll just completely mistime the rock-off and jump head first into the steamrolling whitewater"... Dude.. Seriously?!?! 🙈
People soup-fuuuuuuuck that.
