    SUCH a good pack, and an amazing value for money. It's wildly adjustable. I like that you can load it light and sinch up all the straps to keep it tight, or run it full to the brim and there's seemingly always a new area that can expand or fit another item. In my opinion it can fit more gear than you can practically carry if you fill it completely.

    Thanks for finally doing a review on that pack that I've been ogling on all your videos. Been looking for a good capacity pack that is good for winter too. Also like the green color which works well for my environment too, and lots of Molle attachments for extra pouches. Looks very similar to the Savotta packs. Didn't want to spend that much on my budget. All the packs I've seen were too small and very expensive. Appreciate your channel and your honest reviews.

    Getting that one now. I was considering the big brother of it but I like the Molle and strap system way better on this one than on any other of their bp's. Great review btw, the only good review on this in the entire world (all other reviewers spend 1 min with the backpack and then go through the endless ammount of firesteels and backup firesteels they have in them. Hint: in that case make firesteel reviews people!)

    As i was telling Alex below, one item to think about and to beware with packs is the capacity size advertised, on Ebay/Aliexpress/Amazon sellers advertise packs with certain capacity but some packs (usually Chinese branded ones) calculate the size with pockets towards the total pack capacity while others advertise for the main compartment. Not saying its an issue with the pack Jeremy just reviewed but it's a good thing to keep in mind when looking for a bargain pack online.
    So now if i need a true size i always make sure to find out the actual main compartment size and calculate it's cubic size (L x W x H whether in. or cm) and convert it to liters capacity using a calculator online to make sure i am getting what i am paying for. Just one thing to remember and be aware when buying online vs retail.

    Thanks for the great review...I've been on the fence about this pack but you tipped the scales for me. Great detail in your review. As for the main straps coming loose, I've dealt with that before and replaced the slide buckles with REI brand and have had no problems since. Thanks for your help.

    I have a Teton Sports Fox 5200 and the straps tend to slip when going up hill or when carrying heavier loads. What i did is double up the straps through strap tensioner when it first happened. Also for those not afraid of DIY and sewing i also added a second strap sewn on the middle ones to it easier to adjust the height of the pack more easily and prevent lots of slippage. Just an FYI as i've seen strap slippage on even Osprey and higher end packs from other peoples packs :)

    • @alexcormier602
      @alexcormier602 4 года назад

      Ben Touchette Do you like the Teton Sports Fox 5200 ? Going to Europe in August for 6 weeks backpacking. I have not purchased a backpack yet but looking at the Teton Sports Fox 5200 or the Mountaintop 80 Liter. The only reason I looked at the Mountain Top was it opened up and one can get to items in the middle of the back. But thinking the Teton 5200 maybe a better made back pack.. Your thoughts please. thanks

    • @draekko_
      @draekko_ 4 года назад +1

      @@alexcormier602 Depends on what kind of backpacking you intend to do? It has some shortfalls depending on how you pack, also you'll find that having so much webbing a blessing and curse depending on the kinds of trips out with it. Once adjusted it carries well. Also depending on what you carry the butterfly side pockets can dig into the bags inner space. I did a 3 day trip once with it and was loaded with 55lbs of gear and food. Aside from the strap slippage it was OK for the price. It comes with a pack cover. The design is very similar to the pack that Jeremy just reviewed but slightly bigger and instead of back access it has a grey pouch that you can use to stuff in and behind it like a shirt or jacket or gear. In that small pocket i usually stuff maps and small items. One minor annoyance you might have is it doesn't have any belt pockets. Not sure that answers your question completely but hope it helps.

    I just discovered your channel today, and the very first thing I thought was wow that pack looks killer, I gotta find out what it is. Thanks for doing this review. I'm still fairly new to the backpacking camping thing, been a truck and rv camper since marraige and kids, now I'm taking a bigger interest in the backpack way. I've got a 65liter Jack Wolfskin pack I got on sale at Cabelas, I like the pack, but I tend to run out of room quick, and this Mardingtop 65l looks ALOT bigger than mine. And cheaper! Will definitely put this on my wishlist when upgrade time comes.

    Bag looks good for the price, but the strap slippage..... I would think staying properly on your back is one of the most basic things a backpack is supposed to do. You don't consdider this a major drawback? How much slippage are we talking about?

My main goal is hike meanwhile travelling around as well, so i need a mix between a comfortable light but big enought to put things inside. Is this model 65 or it gain more litera when you release the top part? How you see the difference between this model and the 75l model? Whats the best in terms of structure and comfort? It change a lot in terms of space between this and the 75l version? Thanks a lot 🙏 bye from italy
