For a look at 'the system' which has created this world we so crave to disengage with,
you could also do the reading of some standard curriculum books and essays from a community college English semester. In that respect I found that related ideas channels, such as 'After Skool, merely do the synthesis, thinking, pop-culture-acceptance-wrapping of dsyfunctional civilization for you ... and then break it up into digestible twitterbytes for those unwilling to climb the discourse of times recently past.
I found that doing the study, and writing about it, brought me to similar yet original conclusions on my own.

Regarding loss of reputation, dealing with toxic people, etc. a nice neighbour told me to hold my head high, and I do. I smile and in the beginning it was difficult but now it's natural and sincere. I smile, I hold my head high, I am friendly and I take care of myself, I no longer neglect my health, my weight or my appearance. Now I dress well and look well - the toxic people must be wondering what wonderful turn my life has taken! And I even sing, to let the bullies know that I choose happiness. I've also reconnected with people, even though they are not close friends, it's important to have some people around you even if you're an introvert like me. I talk to people when I'm out and about, even short conversations add up to feeling less alone.

When I was young I’ve always thought the greatest freedom I can get is to do anything that I want. But as I grow older I realised that the greatest freedom is the freedom from all of these. Fear of the uncertainty, thinking of others opinion about us, lamenting on the things that people do (and don’t do) to us. And so on. I’ve still got a long way to go but I’ll keep going 😉

Start by managing your thought stream. Approve and Deny your thoughts in real time. This will allow you to better manage your manifestations. Micromanage them at first, and after about a month you will never have to again. The world is like a small child or pet, it wants your affection but it needs your energy. Provide feedback through your thought stream, what is and what is not acceptable in your experience.

This can't work for everyone. I was unknowingly very stoic a few years ago, and although I was calm and accepted things as they came, I still felt empty. I don't know if I misinterpreted what I was learning or just pushing down my emotions, but now I am letting all my emotions flow and trying to take from life what it has to offer. Yes, it leads to heartbreak, tears, and lots of flowing emotions, but that is what life has to offer. Stoicism and following eastern philosophies helped me cope with situations, but all I did was cope and never learn how to actually look at what I was feeling and WHY. For me, I was just pushing down my emotions and becoming isolated during this time in my life. We are human and emotions are can't be avoided!!!! We need to learn how to understand them.

I’ve expanded my mind and I understand a lot of things at this point. I’ll work hard and gain my happiness on what I work on, and won’t set my happiness on external forces. I 'lost' $140,000 to the IRS which could have been legally avoided if I had been more astute. I was initially angry, wishing I had that money, to buy stuff with it. But, I have to say, the balance that these videos Einzelgänger give me, whether it is through promoting Buddhism, Stoicism, Jung, or even the analogies in Hollywood cinema, makes me think more, and makes me think that attachments and materialism are not important, whilst the greater good (helping to build a better society), are much more significant and empowering. On my deathbed, I won't remember that new car I bought or the boring holiday I went on, I will remember how that money helped others and kept society's institutions running. To everyone, don't be a slave. Please help others less fortunate.

That said, while it's an apt analogy, I truly did NOT expect to see the Star Wars prequels as the reference point. It was like, "Seneca, Epictetus...Anakin Skywalker? Izzat SENATOR PALPATINE?"
This isn't meant negatively, I assure you. It was just funny having your usual soothing voice exploring philosophy over tastefully chosen graphics and then HERE COMES GEORGE LUCAS like the Kool-Aid pitcher crashing through a wall.

Yes passion is quality of the Sith, you’re suppose to know how to balance these aspects within you, not demonize them. If you demonize and discard/push them away it’ll come as something worse. Please don’t use Star Wars to give spiritual and philosophical teachings. Star Wars is a sci-fi action film that is trying to give you its POV and perspective on morality

I've read a book about stoicism and somehow doing that made me feel better, let go of the past, and negative visualization is great, but I still can not let go of attachment to my husband, I want to spend as much time with him because otherwise I don't know how to deal with myself and I don't use the dichotomy of control a lot. Still, I feel better and am thankful to people who suggested it as a good idea.

Very powerful video, There is one struggle in here that I still have huge problem with and it's always been the fear of loss, ironically the fear itself caused me to lose the person I dearly cared about. Ever since then (2 years ago) it has been really hard to move on from that haunting past, the constant loneliness reminds me of my failure to be a better a man, a more competent person and failed in that department to that person's standards. It feels like a strike to heart when I remember locking eyes with her for minutes long and to think that she want's nothing to do with me now destroys any confidence I had before, demoralized. This video is very knowledgeable on the idea that these hurtful situations are inevitable to hide or run from. I hope one day I find enlightenment from all of it but it's extremely hard to let go of it, I dearly cared about this person like a family member and they isolated from me like I was a monster, it's a terrible thought to say the least, I continue to endure the pain it throws and have some faith that ill come out much stronger after the full acceptance of it. Amazing video!

I know it sounds easier said than done but do not sleep with the past. Obviously she isn't and although it hurts, nurture yourself not your ghosts. We all get lonesome but loneliness often attracts just what you don't want, need or desire rather than work through the pain of fully letting go of what wasn't for your highest good and the highest good of all. @@sentientpower I have a hard time believing that, it shifted much within me and not in a good way, ever since the incident I've gotten more involved with alcohol and weed. That's not the worse of it, I lost most of motivation on everything I felt passionate about before, I barely feel a quarter of the man I used to be. I worked 2 jobs, 60+ hours a week and worked out 5-6 days a week (don't even have a job anymore) and it all came to a halt as soon I went back to go see her and got nothing but silence and isolation in return, she didn't even look at me and every time I wanted to go up to her she hid.
