OPAL PEAK Hiking in the Opal Hills in Jasper National Park with OPAL!

Another hike to the summit of Jasper National Park's Opal Peak. Our youngest daughter was named after this peak 10 years prior to this outing. It has always been a special place for us and this marks our 3rd summit of this mountain with Opal. Her first two trips to the top was a free ride at the age of 6 months and again at 3 years old!! Now as a very strong hiker, and on her own two feet, she had an amazing hike through the Opal Hills on a very brisk day with a smoke filled sky. Opal Peak sits high above Jasper National Park's Maligne Lake. The Opal Hills Trail is near Maligne Lake and often offers the best viewpoint of the lake, however, not on this day! The Opal Hills and trails through this area are often inhabited with bears. Our family will always return to this scenic place and forever share a connection with Opal Peak!!
