  • We returned to Nepal for another family trek in the Himalayan Mountain Range. This journey would be the trek and climb to the summit of Mera Peak. The summit elevation is 6,476 metre-21,247feet above sea level. Nepal is truly one of our favorite places to visit and never fails to deliver an incredible experience in the highest mountain range in the world! The friendly people of this Himalayan country have always brought us such joy and opened our hearts and minds with their kindness. This would be our 8th visit, 5th as a family, so needless to say we think Nepal is a special place! Trekking to Mera Peak and summiting Mera Peak was a huge accomplishment for all of us, especially for our daughters Opal and Nyla. 10 year old Opal and 13 year old Nyla had so much fun with our guide, porters and the welcoming locals along the way. They loved this trek! We all would agree that the views from the top of Mera Peak were the best we've ever seen. 8,000 meter peaks from the distant Kanchenjunga and Cho Oyu, to the closer Everest and Makalu, made every step of this climb worth it and left an everlasting impact on all of us! This video captures all of the highlights from our two week adventure in November of 2023. ENJOY!!
