- When it comes to painting concrete there are many different methods based on the finished look you are going for. You can use a nap roller, a paint brush or even a sprayer. The paint sprayer approach is one that is idea for artificial rock painting and specially realistic granite finishes. In order to achieve this look you need to thin your paints somewhat with water, and you will need a high quality sprayer. While you can use anything as small and as cheap as a pump action sprayer from the local dollar store you will find that the quality of paint spray is poor, lacks fine control, and ultimately the pump or sprayer mechanism will become hopelessly clogged with paint. If you are making something small or do not mind using disposable spray bottles this will get you by for a while. When you start to paint larger and more important pieces
you will need to seek out a higher quality sprayer capable of pumping semi-viscous paint and water mixtures. In my experience Chapin brand field & garden / cleaning & degreasing pump up pressurized sprayers (1 gallon size) were the most effective at producing consistent quality of spray pattern, the most spray control and a low instance of the sprayer becoming clogged or permanently jammed. When trying every brand of sprayer available on the market for this purpose it was the Chapin brand sprayers which performed the best and most reliably.
When it comes to concrete applications there are many different pressurized sprayers needed from ones that will spray form oils, to liquid hardeners to concrete sealers. Also acetone and xylene are commonly used in pump sprayers for various stages of working with concrete and Chapin International has both entry level as well as professional level pump up sprayers for each one of these applications.

Hi Steve, this video is "just in time" as we're going to paint the pool deck soon, and now, I know what I'll use for the highlights. I found your channel when looking into light weight concrete for a different project... Many thanks!
do you think it would be a good idea to try create craft work from self-leveling underlayment, instead of concrete? i already used anchoring grout and it's pretty great.
What happens if you mix charcoal with cement to make a lightweight concrete
Pls can i paint acrylic over concrete😢 I am stuck after making a flower pot with cement or concrete, I dont even know the difference, smh
