- Surfs up! Burnside Halloween 2023, 33 years! raw clips "Shorter" version. Film and edit by Jonathan Geiter aka jellyhead. So much ripping this year! and new fresh addition to the park new obstacle. I was only there from 12:30-7:30pm too so many tricks landed! and this wasn't even all the clips! I made another edit as well that is twice as long for those that don't have a hour for that one. But if you do sit back and relax and hour of Burnside halloween ripping from a bunch of PDX skaters.This edit is still long, but couldn't cut anymore clips to make it shorter sorry both the edits are so long this year but had to do it! :) Thanks for watching! So many names to list you know who you are! Such a fun time new Beach/underwater/pirate theme for 2023. Thank you to Burnside skatepark and everyone that has kept it going for 33 years! DIY! i skated burnside from 1989-1995 and it’s amazing how little the park has changed since then. this would have been junior high and into high school when i was going there. me and friends would take public transportation downtown from the suburbs and the vibe was always super chill and friendly, even with the homeless. only once in 6 years did someone try to rob us. the mid to late 80’s and early 90’s man. it was an incredible time to be alive. not so much today 😢 the world has seriously gone to shit

Went to Burnside with my dad in the 90s... he was a shredder... went a few times together..later in life skating on my own adventures... i went down here and the people who make up the scene under the bridge.. turned it into a toxic pirates only soupbowl... after multiple trips of getting harassed and assaulted i never went back... venice beach vibes made me hate the portland skate scene so much i just started riding bmx so i could just hang out in the woods instead

Went there for the first time w my gf and we aren't very good. Locals were aggressive and rude, needles everywhere. Group of 5 sad grown men tweekers saying they would skull fuck my gf in front of me. Lol Guess we need to go back someday on Halloween this looks way better than our experience!
