That would have been illegal and inappropriate since WTHR 13 doesn't own the footage, and Macy's restricts broadcasting of full performances (it is very intentionally a LIVE event only...as they make explicitly clear on their website). I'm thankful our local news station followed "fair use" guidelines to be able to show as much of it as they did (but playing the full performance would have absolutely been copyright infringement).
IF not the entire program, at least show a short clip of the presentation for viewers to appreciate without the newscasters talking with their faces covering the only shortest clip they can offer. I guess everybody knows what I mean. @@WildcatTech
