Riverside King High School Kingsmen Band & Color Guard performing their march entitled The Stars and Stripes Forever by John Philip Sousa at the 2010 San Dimas Western Days Parade on Saturday, October 2, 2010. The Kingsmen are led by Military Drum Major, Jennnifer Atkinson.

Ten years later and this band has stood the test of time. They exude excellence in every way possible, music, marching, discipline, outstanding color guard. I would not be surprised to learn the marching members went on to great things after learning lessons in life from their band director.
Salute to excellence. Hard work is paying off. Kudos. 12 years in Percussion; Jr., Sr., High School and University Marching Band. YOU LOOK SHARP!!!!
Really takes me back to 1997.
I remember watching one of these in paradise arizona. The performance was absolutely explosive.
It's so gratifying to see a community willing to fund a high school music program of this size & quality. The payoff is obvious. It's a shame so many other HS band programs don't have this luxury. Research has clearly shown that students involved in music programs often do better later in life than those that do not. Society does itself a favor to keep these activities fully funded---Not just football teams.
I wonder how many people know how hard it is to play this march and march at the same time so well? This shows a great amount of practice and skill by youngsters of high school age. I have heard many bands of older more experienced performers than this, not even get close to this band.
As good as they sounded, I still couldn't help but notice how clean their diagonals were! Once a band geek always a band geek! 🤷♀️

Love this, brought back the days I played in a Marching Band, keeping those lines straight was tough. and When I played cymbals, we had to twirl them in the air after a hard strike on them. Great Job.

Not only is this band in step, they are in tune with one another and their ranks and files are beautiful! Haven’t seen a high school band in a parade this dedicated in many years!

If you just listen to the video, it sounds like they're not even marching. That's the mark of a great band.
Also, I love how in tune the tubas are when they pass by the cameraman.

Wow, thanks for the great sounds and great marching. Gave me a jolt to see all those bass clarinets. I never marched with mine.
PS just watched this again (week later) and was thinking the beauty & precision of this band is a direct result of Soul, God. The band director, musicians, honor guard, flag team, all participants, showed their dedication to & love of the artistry that went into this wonderful performance. Again, many thanks for the soul expressed in this beautiful accomplishment.
