In this video we have a Ford Fusion with an automatic gearbox with an intermittent gear changing problem sometimes it would drive absolutely perfectly sometimes it will go into limp mode and will not start or will not drive P0810
If your vehicle has stored a code P0810, it means that the powertrain control module (PCM) has detected a malfunction in the clutch position control system. ... The clutch position sensor provides a secondary safety feature to prevent the engine from being started while the transmission is in gear.
Intermittent automatic gearbox fault
What happens sometimes is the little Gear warning light comes on the dash the car will not change gear will not start or will not drive

Hello I have got a 2004 Ford Fusion semi-automatic I am trying to bleed the clutch and brake system where would the nipple be to bleed the system because I am having trouble starting the car
Is this the same for audi a3 7 speed? Got same code but clunky when acceleration but smooth when taking off with no throttle and shifts threw the gears fine 😂
ohhh the suspense! on to part2
Enjoy mate
Awesome stuff. FFS dont keep us waiting for part 2.
Lol not long now mate
Hello, my name is Mihai, I have a Mazda 2 2003 1.4 dci with a durashift box. I removed the cover from the actuator to see the condition of the brushes, the brushes were worn out, but the car was still driving. I bought a VXDIAG NANO and with the help of IDS I tried to calibrate the clutch and gearbox to make sure the VXDIAG works to calibrate after changing the brushes on the actuators. While I was doing the adaptation, a red gear appeared on the dashboard, and the N light on the dashboard is no longer on, I can’t start the car, error P0949 😢 help please!
Cliff hanger 😉🤣... looking forward to part 2 👍
Not long to wait now mate

This is not a regular automatic but a Robotic manual box, like a Honda I-Shift.
Yes mate it's like a hybrid it's technically a standard gearbox for the standard clutch and has these Motors bolted on the outside to change the gears for you and to press the clutch
@@bodgitandleggitgarage Wife had 2007 Civic with the I-shift. She liked it because of no bungee band effect. It drives fine when not bushing too much, but then you want to slow out the spiders, then the gear change is a bot slow for my taste. That is about the civic, I do not have any experience with other makes.
Absolute rubbish these Semi Automatics. Only mugs buy them!
Magnet has snapped and come adrift?
Not long to wait now mate
Well found by the way. I've always disliked auto boxes, doubly so the modern ones.
Yes automatic gearboxes can be troublesome but at least this one technically is just a normal gearbox that means no more clutch it just has the Motors bolted on on the outside so as automatic gearboxes go this is one of the cheapest ones to repair yeah kind of lol
@@bodgitandleggitgarage I agree... the easiest automatic, at least from what I've seen so far. I've done a few overhauls here in the states. Not too bad once you see & do it a few times.
Yes it's like everything once you've done it a few times but we really do not get many automatics over here here 99% manuals
@@bodgitandleggitgarage I've done a couple of clutches in front wheel drives. I still much prefer real wheel drives for clutch changes.
Geeza how’s you buddy. You bloody tease.
Lol
Gooooooooooooooooooooood
thanks mate
Who the band playing please?
Hi mate it's just a free song from RUclips library your best bet mate is just to use Shazam
I saw some green in that motorhousing :P

Thanks mate
Leaving us on a cliffhanger i see lol
Lol yep
Plz code defeau p0949-60 ford fiesta 2004 boit automatique robotique
hi mate you will need to Complete transmission adaptive learn procedure will a good scan tool
Hi mate, question for you which has got nothing to do with this video but since it's your latest video i thought I'd ask here. Can i leak down test or compression test a diesel? to be more specific It's a Peugeot HDI 2L engine DW10FC. The car doesn't start so will be a cold engine.
Hi mate yes if you have the right tools you can do both of these books like everything especially on diesels it's very expensive to get the right tools and when you do a compression test on a diesel you have to be very careful because some of the heater plugs will break some test you have to take off the injectors which can be stuck your best bet is just to do a relative compression test first this way you do not have to take anything off
@@bodgitandleggitgarage I've actually removed all glow plugs and thankfully they all came straight out, I've never done this before so just wanted to clarify, do i need to remove fuel relay, injector power connectors or both? do i need to open the throttle a little? because some people have mentioned it in their videos and others haven't and if there is anything else vital i missed out please let me know. I appreciate your help.
There's mechanics that throw the parts bin at cars and then there's Leon, proper diagnostics and let's see if the original unit can be repaired.
Yeah👌
Thanks mate
Briefly looking at the motor Comm, it appears a bit black. Brushes worn perhaps ?
The suspense is killing me.
'Don't forget to watch next weeks exciting episode our 'Superhero Mr Bodgit & Leggit as he fixes the Evil Ford auto gearbox.
Will it make him more attractive to women ?
Lol. Respects and looking forward to the solution.
The truth is out there.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
this was exactly one of the reasons why i avoided automatic transmission cars.
What are the cheapest gearboxes ever fixed but I know what you mean lol
(F)or (O)nly to (R)epair (D)aily. Found Off Road Dead etc. LOL Good Job and Thank You !

It's a master cylinder! The slave operates the clutch....
Do you want to be technical about it it's a clutch actuator lol
Leon most used words. “I don’t know what I did but it’s now working”
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Never the first booooooommmm!!!
