And nobody fought afterwards. It was just competitive and the trash talk makes guys wanna go at one another. Stop turning the league into the wnba please.
Evan Saltare u ain't never lie that's y the game is soft now and bigs shooting 3's cus this was the era bigs wud dunk all on u that aggressive hooping.
His length and quick leaping ability made him one of the most underrated dunkers in NBA history. It's too bad the rest of his game never caught up with his freakish athleticism and finishing ability...
It's a shame he never added anything else to his game. No post moves, no mid range. I never knew why defenders would run out at him he wasn't a threat to shoot or make the shot. But he always wanted to dunk everything. Everything. He was Amare before Amare, but Amare added stuff to his game. The jumper out to 20, an occasional three.
this analysis is on point....he could have even been a a damn good defender/rim protector as well but much like his dunks he was always fishing for the big blocks...basically didn't have the highest of bball iq's....pretty much a guy you put out there for his high impact energy that could hype your team up...
mell0SIX2 excellent analysis of Swift. Was most definitely a high energy guy. One that could give your team a boost while they’re down 5, or 6 points...and one of his exciting dunks gets the crowd and his teammates back charged up !
He was the most entertaining big man dunker I had ever seen in game. Amazing bounce. Could be been one of the greats if he worked on his offensive game
meanest yet cleanest poster ever, unlike Deandre Jordan, Larry Nance Jr., Griffin and modern other modern dunkers they are using their knees and elbows just to dunk over players
Nance jr dunks are clean af, what you talking about? He holds the ball outside the defender’s reach and when the other guy starts his descend he slams it over him. Maybe not as mean as Strom’s but clean enough.
I miss seeing this dude in the NBA. He really brought some great attention and love to the city of Shreveport, LA. Almost went to the same high school as him too.
Forgot about this dude, kind of a similar player to Shawn Kemp or Josh Smith, though not quite as good as either. Still one of my favorite dunkers growing up though J Rich is still number 1
Leo Pulkkinen Because he was a number 2 pick that played 9 years and nobody talks about him like we do others even with their talent. Not being talked about as a top guy among peers or fans is underrated.
explosive athlete who was capable of spectacular plays but never really learned to play the game. i kept hoping he would develop some post moves but he never did. when he got older and lost his explosiveness he was out of the league.
Kyrietastic! Not really. Dude just never produced outside of dunks. He would do a midrange shot here and there but dude underperformed. All that length and athleticism yet wasn't a rebounder, defender, or scorer. Guy had a good career considering he had about a decade in the league, but being drafted as high as he was even in one of the worst draft classes ever he should have been more.
His dunks are always exciting. Oh...White Mamba sighting! And i love how a few of his highlights here show him posterizing his old team mates like Gasol, Yao..haha
When the Grizzlies came to Memphis back in 01-02’ Stromile Swift was my favorite player. All their home games came on basic cable and boy were those some different times back then.
TheRiggedBA how is it random, if you knew ball during late 90s and 2000s youd know who this guy was, and clearly has some of the best / biggest in game dunks ever
He might not be a great player but boy those dunks had some menace to them, the sound the rim makes after his slams is something you don’t hear anymore
That #1 Swift dunk, Kemp over Lister and DeAndre over Knight are the nastiest/most vicious in game NBA dunks of all time. Cant decide which one i like best.
I remember my boy saying we(Orlando Magic) should've picked him up to accompany Dwight Howard back in 2009-2010 when we had a contending team. He would've been a perfect PF.
Man watching these clips brings a bit of nostalgia for me. Stromile was really entertaining and the hand gesture after dunking was a one of kind celebration. Looking at the #15 clip, watch how hype Yao Ming was for him 😂😂 I ain’t never seen him like that. SS was one of the ball players who didn’t get big time exposure but you knew who he was!
When do you see anyone jam on someone with two hands these days? No one … this dude yoked on Yao with two hands!!! … fucking Yao Ming! And that number one dunk on Tyrus Thomas is the best dunk on ive ever seen.
That era was terrible, everything was iso based because of Jordan but no one could do it like him. So it was a bunch of chuckers. They had dunk flair thought, Steve franchise stro, t mac desmond mason j rich vc. 360s were a daily thing back then. Check out court cuts from the score online youll really get nostalgic
I call it the And1 streetball era. Early/mid 2000's was Baggy shorts, headbands, poster dunks, taunting and flashy handles. Good for highlights though..
I don't know which is more impressive 1. Windmill off a drop step 2. Getting dudes to jump at your pump fake when YOU CAN'T SHOOT
NBA PLAYERS arent rocket science majors in their spare time lol
😂😂
CircleCityCurry This is exactly the same thing I think. They are flying to pump fakes like he is Ray Allen or something.
Tyrus Thomas was'nt exactly known 4 having the highest bball iq lol
You know you got a good career chance as salesman when you can sell BS
One of the most underrated dunkers of all time. I loved watching him as a kid
He had the high flyer icon on NBA LIVE 06
ADAJ3 still got mine😂
ADAJ3 yeah he did
NBA Live 2005 was better... It´s In The Game!
Lol hell yeah and was unstoppable
bruh that's the first thing I thought of when I got this notification lol
A few years later aaaannd that's a technical....and that's a technical...and technical....ohhh nice, technical.
hahahaa W
And nobody fought afterwards. It was just competitive and the trash talk makes guys wanna go at one another. Stop turning the league into the wnba please.
Evan Saltare LOL
right LOL
Evan Saltare u ain't never lie that's y the game is soft now and bigs shooting 3's cus this was the era bigs wud dunk all on u that aggressive hooping.
Tell that to Rasheed Wallace.
Strome was one of those players u forgot about but when they show highlights u totally remember again
dvon1097
nah i never heard of this nigga until 2 minutes ago 😕
clutchmamba U r probably 9 years old thats why if u were a kid in the late 90s u would recognize him
I'm an nba fan since 2011, and I never heard about this nigga, not a single time before...a lot underrated
Filippo Berlini Not a real fan I've been a fan since 2009 but I always go back and do my research
Man he had problems w/ the rim. Almost no one dunks like this anymore. I miss the days where dudes always tried ripping the rim off.
Me too. I wanna see that anger unleashed on the rim. Like prime Sprewell, Dominique, Finley, etc.
Greek freak hates the rim
They dont let them do it. They give them technicals if they do
I guess you never heard of a man named Russell Westbrook....
@@elonjoanwilliams614 nah 4:15 happened when I was a child and I ain't seen nothing close yet
This guy's bounce was just incredible
Absolutely and the power that came along with it was insane.
I've seen some dunks on this channel, but this guy takes it the ex-Stromile.
Toby Hopkins Lol I feel that one 💯
Your comment deserves more likes
Ba-dum tish... Toby Hopkins ladies and gentlemen, he'll be here all week.
I saw what you did there 😄😄😄
Lol wow
Stromile was very underrated in Memphis. Every time Pau got hurt, he would start and get 20/10.
His bird wings is one of the best personal celebrations ever. Simple, effective, sends the message that you probably got postered.
k
That dunk on yao ming was ridiculously strong and vicious!
Should've been number 1
His best dunk. Especially after they played together previously. so you know he owed him one. And Ming should have known better.😂
The Yao dunk was BEFORE Stro went to Houston and teamed with Yao.
On God that shit was disgusting 😂😂😂
if you close your eyes it sounds like a fender bender accident between two cars 😂
"The Stro Show" very underrated at the time. I remember him, Demon Mason and Vince having the craziest in game dunks.
desmond mason was philthy
Nah he wasn't underrated. He's was an extremely underwhelming lottery pick that's known for his dunks.
James Knowles i think he meant he was an underrated dunker
swift was bloody nasty
His length and quick leaping ability made him one of the most underrated dunkers in NBA history. It's too bad the rest of his game never caught up with his freakish athleticism and finishing ability...
That dunk against the Bulls is the most brutal dunk ever
yeah man that's rough..
Literally all of these were nasty
It was one of my favorite squads of all time: Williams, Miller, Battier, Swift and yong Gasol.
RIP Lorenzen Wright
@@RandomStuffFreakyo I was just about to put that right b4 I clicked on your reply
#SALUTE2AREAL1#55🙏🏿
James Posey says HELLO
I remember this dude would kill in NBA Live 06!
Rishab Singh I was just saying I'd always get him on created teams. Dunking from anywhere! I'd be saying Stromile Go Wild!😂
Definitely had to pick those grizzles if your friend had Garnett n the wolves or amare and suns lol
Eddie Jones was straight too
I use to kill wit Iggy lol
mcdyss
Those two hand full windmills from one step is crazyyyy🔥
It's a shame he never added anything else to his game. No post moves, no mid range. I never knew why defenders would run out at him he wasn't a threat to shoot or make the shot. But he always wanted to dunk everything. Everything. He was Amare before Amare, but Amare added stuff to his game. The jumper out to 20, an occasional three.
He wasn't Amare before Amare because Amare had actual basketball skills from day one.
this analysis is on point....he could have even been a a damn good defender/rim protector as well but much like his dunks he was always fishing for the big blocks...basically didn't have the highest of bball iq's....pretty much a guy you put out there for his high impact energy that could hype your team up...

That last dunk was literally the best poster I’ve seen. The ferocity was just too great and he just punched it on dude so bad
He was the most entertaining big man dunker I had ever seen in game. Amazing bounce. Could be been one of the greats if he worked on his offensive game
#1 is one of the meanest dunks ever
meanest yet cleanest poster ever, unlike Deandre Jordan, Larry Nance Jr., Griffin and modern other modern dunkers they are using their knees and elbows just to dunk over players
Nance jr dunks are clean af, what you talking about? He holds the ball outside the defender’s reach and when the other guy starts his descend he slams it over him. Maybe not as mean as Strom’s but clean enough.
Top 5 ever
#1 that tomahawk that hammer in gianis 🤔 shoot. Strom killing em.
When I argue with my boys, this is the dunk I have to defend as the best dunk-on’s of all time
Him and hakim warrik were my fav dunkers.. these mans were powerful
Sam O Darius miles
yes tyrus thomas too but i always just see him as a disappointment
2:56 "Go head and get some" lmfao. That's cold.
first time ive seen a full windmill dunk that close and he took what? 1 or 2 steps? incredible bounce
damnn them vancouver jerseys look sick af!
this nigga got hops tho... dunking on yao n shit.. this nigga crazy
I miss seeing this dude in the NBA. He really brought some great attention and love to the city of Shreveport, LA. Almost went to the same high school as him too.
I remember him from the live and 2k games. Even NBA 07 on PlayStation this guy was a beast in video games.
Perfect video NBA , Thanks.
children stop commenting like who is that bla bla
I watched a lot of basketball during his time and I didn't remember him either yo. Sure, he could dunk but besides that he was quite forgettable.
I remember him cuz of number 1 , not ws a very good player tho
okan hınıslı perfect video indeed!
Forgot about this dude, kind of a similar player to Shawn Kemp or Josh Smith, though not quite as good as either. Still one of my favorite dunkers growing up though J Rich is still number 1
Insomniay0 yea, reminds me of Kemp too. He was also dunking like a complete savage
Insomniay0 Vince Carter greatest dunker of all time
Never Put Prime Shawn Kemp in the same sentence as any of these dudes. Evee
I agree j rich is better i mean at this time PFs hand only but sooich capability besides cats like dirk
Nah dude Vince is number 1
Stromile swift top 20, thank god for the internet, i never knew this guy was capable of a top 20 anything
He is enemy of İnternational players.Nowitzki,Yao Ming,Sabonis,Pachulia...
hamza sarısu 🤣🤣🤣🤣
his own teammate Gasol too
& Greg ostertag lol
K Mart and Stro were two sick athletic PF from 2000 draft class. Both of them were sick in game dunkers.
lmao, I used to dunk all over fools with him on NBA Live. NBA taking me back!
Me too. Nba live 2003
Holy crap! How am I just seeing this guy for the first time? Looks like he shares some of Kemp's animosity towards the rim. Very nice!
Alot of people have slept on swift. He was underrated, especially as a dunker.
Stromile has one of the best post play celebrations of all time for sure
Underrated as sh*t
Leo Pulkkinen Because he was a number 2 pick that played 9 years and nobody talks about him like we do others even with their talent. Not being talked about as a top guy among peers or fans is underrated.
Kyrietastic! Swift was wack son. all he had was hops.
huh look every player isn't underrated just because they played before someone
explosive athlete who was capable of spectacular plays but never really learned to play the game. i kept hoping he would develop some post moves but he never did. when he got older and lost his explosiveness he was out of the league.
Kyrietastic! Not really. Dude just never produced outside of dunks. He would do a midrange shot here and there but dude underperformed. Guy had a good career considering he had about a decade in the league, but being drafted as high as he was even in one of the worst draft classes ever he should have been more.
Swift and Hakim Warrick were monsters when it came to dunking! Old school forreal
Most underrated 'dunker' in nba history.
On #6 you can hear him tryin to warn Ostertag not to jump by saying 'go ahead and get dunked' lol
I remember before I always trade for him whenever I start a season in NBA Live. He got the dunk and block icon and those are enough for my pf spot.
No bs 😂😂
One of the most powerful in game dunkers, so much raw power
Strow show! Imagine him in this era with social media. He’ll be so entertaining
His dunks are always exciting. Oh...White Mamba sighting! And i love how a few of his highlights here show him posterizing his old team mates like Gasol, Yao..haha
He must be used Boing Vert 😅
I'm weak boing vert 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Lol 😂😂😂
That #1 dunk looks like it's out of NBA Jam.
The last 2 dunks were straight savagery!
I forgot about this guy until this vid randomly popped up in my feed! Love the taunt he does after each dunk; like a WWE wrestler. Heheh
Somebody tell Stromile Swift to play in the BIG3
It’s funny how everyone instantly related to playing NBA live with this kat. He was so damn overpowered 😂
finally, the highlight video i've been waiting for.
One of my all time in game dunker.
The most straight bounce in nba history don't @ me
Travis RA2N I really can’t @ you cause I’ve never heard of this guy till now hahah
Hell yeah you don’t see niggas windmill off a drop step anymore
facts only like vince and kemp and domonique
Hood hops stupid NBA politricks hating on him and Gerald Green and Iverson
Top 3
Stromile played way above the rim. Damn. That two handed wind mill mad creative flush
This dude is the greatest contested dunker ever!
Swift was one of my favorite players in the 2000s. He was so explosive.
2k should add a Stromile Swift dunk package.
When the Grizzlies came to Memphis back in 01-02’ Stromile Swift was my favorite player. All their home games came on basic cable and boy were those some different times back then.
Not that I mind, but this seems like the most random tribute ever.
TheRiggedBA how is it random, if you knew ball during late 90s and 2000s youd know who this guy was, and clearly has some of the best / biggest in game dunks ever

Best in game dunks ever is going way too far. Thar honor goes to Vince Carter.
Stromile Swift was a complete bust in the NBA
Ella T Grasso He played 11 seasons, I don't know how that's a bust.
That last one was one of the sickest yams of all time up there with Blake’s on big derp
He is actually one of those players who aren't that good for real but can kickass when you use him in the game NBA Live.
beat you cant stop him
Maaaaàaan this dude dont get mention enough got damn!!!!!!power, explosiveness
Him, Kenyan Martin, Amar'e Stoudemire, Antonio Mcdyess we're something serious before and doing their primes.
2019 and still coming back here reminding myself of how good this guy was...damn.
He might not be a great player but boy those dunks had some menace to them, the sound the rim makes after his slams is something you don’t hear anymore
The dunk on Yao @ 3:31 is out of this world! Big up to Jason Williams for the Stromile Swift recommendation :).
That #1 Swift dunk, Kemp over Lister and DeAndre over Knight are the nastiest/most vicious in game NBA dunks of all time. Cant decide which one i like best.
Nath John man u are not lieing!!!
Gil’s Arena brought me here when they were talking about the greatest in game dunkers. After watching this video I am inclined to agree.
Forgot about Stromile... #NeverAgain
I remember my boy saying we(Orlando Magic) should've picked him up to accompany Dwight Howard back in 2009-2010 when we had a contending team. He would've been a perfect PF.
El Hajj Malik El Over Lewis?!?!? Or off the bench?
Off the bench or move Lewis to the three.
love Pau Gasol's reactions lol
Gasol even getting dunked on by his own teammates
Nathan Adeleye yeah, but guess who was rookie of the year and who's got two championships...
one of the most fun to watch player during the early 2000 when it comes on dunking.
straight up baptized yao ming
Man watching these clips brings a bit of nostalgia for me. Stromile was really entertaining and the hand gesture after dunking was a one of kind celebration. Maaaaan incredible...was also heartwarming to hear Steve Snapper Jones voice
Like if you’re here because of Luke Kornet
Before I even open the video I knew what number one was going to be! Probably the most violent dunk in NBA history
Why is the NBA advertising Stromile Swift'?
PressCAPLOCK That's for his birthday
PressCAPLOCK read desc
PressCAPLOCK you dumb as fuck. What do u mean "advertising" lmao that sounds so dumb
PressCAPLOCK the call me the dummy man!
Is he included in nba 2k18??
just love players that play with this kinda passion and emotion on the court
Looks a lot like Luke Kornet
The STRO SHOW!!! I was a big fan of his
Back when you could rep yo gang/hood in the NBA without officials bitchin about it
Cousin Chris it's admittedly very stupid to rep a gang in a professional environment which represents more then itself
Professional? NBA is just a bunch of AntiAmerican thugs.
maciej guzek troll
Cousin Chris demar derozan and john wall are crips the NBA is back
Unknown 1 John wall blood tf😂😂
This why I love the NBA. Even forgotten player are great in some area.
Is it me or was this era of b ball wayyy better than today's?

superstars taking over was fun to watch tho

I call it the And1 streetball era. Early/mid 2000's was Baggy shorts, headbands, poster dunks, taunting and flashy handles. Good for highlights though..
@@informantfred1853 I enjoy watching nowadays games more
