I saw £29.99 and thought here we go typical...but this is FLIRT level detail! Impressive stuff nice to see AP doing some more diesel stuff! Just need that AP 153/155 now, hope they can go back over more EPs though sooo much scope! You can talk as much as you like in this video Alan the smile on your face and joy in your voice speaks volumes!
I was a bit disappointed to not see some kind of small discount for existing owners of the HST packs. Especially as, especially with the GST cab, it ain't a million miles off the new pack. But it is a decent improvement over the old pack and it's great to finally have a decent HST passview.
Literally everything is brand new and reworked, it sounds like hardly anything or nothing previously used has been implemented on this new pack. So why would you expect a discount for no use of any previous work? 🤦♂️
Hi Alan! Great video love the pack so far! I beleive they visited us at the Colne Valley Railway to record some sounds so it's good to see them used. It is simulated so well!
Not going to lie im a bit disappointed as someone who owns the old packs, Not only is the price too high and we didnt get a discount, but there are no Paxman Valenta engine variants
Hi Alan, I have been out of the loop for most of the year due to health reasons so coming back to this WOW what can i say. AP have really outdone themselves with this pack! I just purchased it and i think it's the best they have made yet. I'm looking forward to learning the cold and dark procedure and the sounds are amazing! It looks like I have a lot to catch up on. You made me laugh when you mentioned the flushing toilets ;). Hope you are well mate.
Wonder if Armstrong Powerhouse will do more like that. Like AP185 and the Valenta. The moment I saw the possibilities of flushing toilets, I knew I had to get the pack lmao
Very shocked not to have the front Hatch open as a thing on a new HST, and no destinations either like with what BH Reskins and Clowes put in with the old VTEC/LNER MTU enhancement. I get that there is always going to be "we want this and that" but the front coupling Bar is a major thing. IMO.
It’s been something that’s been available in both the virgin first gen pack and HST from the class 159 pack I can’t say I have ever seen a scenario make use of these That’s not to say I wouldn’t like to have seen it in this pack though. Regarding the destinations on the ATS pack I am sure if you asked those guys again was the destinations worth tit for the amount of use they got I think they would say no
@@AlanThomsonsim Golden Goldsmith made some various scenarios with the old hst that involve dragging HST sets that required lifting the front access panel .
Flushing toilets, what will they think of next! Gonna purchase once i am home from work and cannot wait for the upcoming Valenta pack. Quality as always Alan.
This pack looks and sounds awesome. I have to hand it to Richard, he's worked hard on this one, and I think the number of liveries, features and how many scenarios this would be applicable to (both for driving and AI) actually makes it one of the best value for money AP packs out there. I was honestly expecting it to cost more. Still, I'm sure Yawwie will find something to moan about. lol
You should make a route that covers the whole of the south western railway network including the services to reading Windsor Hounslow etc AND DONT MAKE IT A PART OF THE SUBSCRIPTION
I solidly respect their choice not to turn comments back on Lots of AP content is already in TSW but it’s a difficult market to actually make any money in currently so I can see why they haven’t gone for anything themselves

The pack is fucking maxing man can’t recommend it more
would love an AP 60 too

Oh cool! Cheers for that mate
As someone who hasn't played TS in well over 5 years, I'm only just getting back into it and wow! Things have definitely moved on since I last played
People saying it’s too expensive don’t realise it doesn’t really matter if you like it and enjoy using it great video Alan!
Couldn’t agree more mate cheers

It’s a banger of a pack I drove it for 7 odd hours yesterday and would happily do it again today
And that says a lot
nice video
Unrelated to the pack, but you reckon AP will ever do an EP for the 220/221 for both DTG and JT in the future or even an SP?
They have a 220 sound pack I believe so don’t think so
@@cuffcollector They did but discontinued it, Richard said he hated it.

It’s a crap feature literally lol
I can’t lie I live it and wished I had though of it
Cheers man
@@AlanThomsonsim So is there a turd asset, Al?
Personally prefer the front hatch to open than a Flushing toilet. With all due respect.
it's out now! definitely was worth the wait.
Great video. Can you tell me what route this is?
Just trains southwestern expressways hope this helps
@AlanThomsonsim Thanks. Is this part of the complete route from London to Penzance?
@ no mate it’s a separate route

No review for TSW Just Trains: WCML Preston to Carlisle?
AP could release a fart sound pack for £30 and he would lap it up
Calm your jets man
That’s coming
Whats the scenario?
YEEES - Love the hst's and I'm happy for the new pack
Are these brand new models made from scratch?
Nope. They should be new models though as they are asking 30 quid for the pack
They are updated HSTs from the European loco and asset pack
For the feature list plus livery’s and scenarios to add whole new models would have added about £20 onto the pack at a minimum
Very good addition to Train Sim, all correct liveries from the time
Too expensive
For you maybe for me and many others it’s priced appropriately
sorry but not paying 61 australian dollars for this pack that is more then the upcoming just trains TSW5 release sorry but no thanks RIP OFF
Whilst you might think it’s a rip off that’s your view and that’s cool
Personally this beats the pants off any uk train simulation wise in TSW

YES MAKE IT PART OF THE SUBSCRIPTION 🗣🗣🗣
@@strikeyz not everyone wants to pay over 30 quid for a subscription
@josephwilliamson3311 i know, i was just being unfunny
but then its just gonna be a paid route for like 25 quid so really the difference becomes minor
Someone's made the track layout for the SWML some of it has scenery some don't but it's still a WIP
Ok so you know what the price of that route would be lol
Get a grip mate
Think it;s about time they start making stuff for TSW... also turning back on their comments... very silencing from them.

Train Sim is just a money pit now sadly.
If you don’t see the value in it that’s totally cool
Many still find it an amazing and rewarding hobby
Don't buy it then
