Yet another great enhancement pack from AP adding to the realism and immersion of TS Classic. Perhaps a fourth enhancement pack in the future could be the "AP Passenger Enhancement Pack". We could see passengers wearing appropriate clothing for different weather types (or seasons), a fix for passengers disappearing before 'entering' the train, and even an option to turn passengers off from the sim completely, etc. Just an idea and may not be possible due to the quirks and limitations of TS. Enjoyed the video and the SPAD at the end. 🔴😊
I will be honest I don’t really feel the passengers add anything to my way of playing the sim but I completely understand why people like them and would want them improved
@@AlanThomsonsim or a pack for passengers that makes em like super busy line on the met line during peak hour you know like when the platforms are nearly full, that would be nice
I think this is the pack we never knew we needed. There's been many times I've approached a diversion too fast or stopped at a platform and just slightly poked my nose past the signal and it's gone instantly to red and I've questioned whether that's because it's actually red or just because I've passed it slightly. Hopefully this fixes both those problems! Now we just need one for JT signals :)
With price it depends on how often I use those packs. One's like the Class 37 packs and the weather EP I use frequently so their prices feel fine but the Class 50 isn't one I use much so I just waited for a sale before buying that :)
A few days ago i downloaded the armstrong powerhouse class 90/mk3 dvt pack, i downloaded the branding patch and extra stock pack correct to alans video that he released 4 years ago. however, when i try to load a scenario, it says "an error occurred trying to load the quick drive scenario", i was just wondering if something has happened to anyone else with this pack in particular, i have other ap packs and they work fine
Played a scenario on western mainlines & noticed the signals aren't changing to red at all after driving past them, understand this pack doesn't support JT routes but is there compatibility issues with them with this pack installed? Never used to pay so much attention to signals before this pack so maybe the signals are bugged on that route & I just never noticed before lol
From someone from outside the UK this pack does look like something I would buy. In terms of the delayed change of aspect feature NZTS Workshop's Midland Line route (which I highly recommend) has had that feature from the start so its good to see a whole bunch of UK routes now have that feature. It certainly adds to the realism. Also Alan, has that scenario been uploaded somewhere? I'd quite like to give it a go.
I've never used TS Classic (I'm a TSW player) but I never miss a video of yours, Alan. Great content. Looking forward to new videos hopefully coming soon...Maybe some TSW ones too?
The problem with AP is if your PC breaks whilst losing everything and you've not got the latest packs and kept pumping money in, you're screwed because everything is tied together. One pack that worked great in 2019 might now need another two or three packs to work properly again. I got out of the loop. A shame because if I could still get legacy downloads, I would still buy bits here and there.. Lesson learnt and never again.
That's why it pays to routinely back all of your data onto an external harddrive or online. I've done just that. Off the top of my head I can't remember which pack it is but I'm using a version of it that I purchased in 2016. It works in the current version of Train Simulator just fine. Alternatively if said pack has had fixes applied in the intervening years I've just used LocoSwap to swap out the trains to something I do have.
You know you can still download all of the packs you own off your account page on AP's website right? Also if you ask AP nicely they might send you links to the extra stock packs and branding patches that you don't have. I did just that when I thought some of my packs and patches were missing. I've since discovered that so far I'm not actually missing any, but the offer from AP still stands.
@@DWtrainsNZ yes I can download the packs again but they've been updated which means unless I buy a bunch of additonal packs, they throw up errors. I was told its my fault for not keeping copies. They wouldnt help. If I'd known my downloads page wouldnt be what I originally bought I would never have got involved. 600+ wasted
I find that quite difficult to believe I know that APs support is second to none and have never heard anyone be told they can’t have what they paid for Please can you confirm this and then I will take it up with AP as if this is a misunderstanding then it needs clearing up
@@AlanThomsonsim So I buy a bunch of stuff from 2012 > 2019 £600+ and I'm happy with what I've got. The PC dies and when I enter my account to download them all again, they're the updated versions which means unless I fork out more for the packs now associated with the updates, I've got scenarios that are missing parts. When I asked if there was any legacy downloads or could I have copies of what I bought, I was told I should have kept back ups. Lesson learnt I guess, but I'll not drop a penny on them again.
I’ve bought a route of your website for free and it’s says simply drop the ‘content’ folder into the following directory:c:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Railworks. I don’t know how you do that?
Meh...its an alright add-on but price is kind of close to AP Class 377/375 EP, £9.99 would of been decent but all I know this isn't really recommended so I will stick to the current ones and buy it another time.
@@AlanThomsonsim True i understand that, and eventually I will buy it when I have the money to do so but I need to save to also pay other stuff. Edit: Thats why the price kind of pushed me not buy it...
Contrary to what I've seen a lot of people saying, I think the price is VERY reasonable, considering the number of popular routes it applies to, the complexity of the scripting and variations in behaviour/approach control, and the fact that it can be retro-fitted to routes in scenario editors for things like calling-on. Round of applause for AP imo.
@@EscapeRunningHead oh what an utterly pathetic reply, you need to do better I'm afraid. I like realism in the simulation software I play & I couldn't give two shits about what company delivers that, ap just so happen does so I buy what products I'm interested in.

It’s a very nice pack

A very happy new year Alan for Alan Shelley in Lowestoft buddy
Cheers man happy new year to you to
It's absolutely a pack I'd consider getting in the future, I can afford to buy it outright now but It's not really at the top of my priority list.

I’ve downloaded the pack but the signals still change instantly when passing. I was driving in quick drive just fyi
I know I am changing the subject a little bit but what does everyone think of the 385 TSW with announcments? I’m interested
How do you stop the flaring on the signals when approaching at speed from a distance?

You just need to copy that folder and paste it into that Railworks folder (which is where all of your TS route files can be found).
Hope that helps.

This pack is anything but neh for those who want to have as much realism as they can get out of this sim.

I've just bought this. I'm disappointed that you can't use them in your own routes.

15 pounds or whatever idc too much 💀💀

For the amount of work put in yes it’s decent
