This was an exciting game! It also meant so much to both these teams. More than you would think from a 3-7 and 5-5 team. CAL lost some tough games this year and Stanford came in playing really good football. Both teams wanted to save their season by winning this game. Congratulations CAL on winning the 127th Big Game! In front of a crowd 52,428.
I was at the game and it was not exciting. The stadium was packed and the student sections were jammed with stoned and roaring-drunk Cal and Stanford students. Cal had a crummy first half and really didn't do much (passing OR running) until that glorious 4th-quarter drive. Yes, that was exciting and the mighty Golden Bears put those Stanford Trees in their place.
In a season that saw Cal almost upset Florida State and Pitt on the road, while taking top 10 ranked Miami to come from behind to beat them, it's cool to see them stack a few wins here and go bowling. SMU on the road next week, excited to see Mendoza and that Cal defense travel again
@@jacksonj3082 PAC12 rules stated student section couldn't be behind the visiting teams bench. Cal no longer has that restriction and it's shady on the other side.
Excellent point. I think Cal wanted to sell the 50 yard line student section seats for higher prices to non students, so they put the students on the opposite side on the 20 yard line. A mistake, the student section always looks great directly across the TV cameras.
You can tell it was full when they rushed the field and there was still a ton of people in the stadium. It stated attendance was 52,428 which is capacity.
@@Soda2033 I believe true college football fans can appreciate rivalries even if they are not of national prominence. Like WSU-OSU just this weekend as well. That's what make CF so distinctive. And give Cal and Stanford fans credit for packing a stadium for a game that "no one" cares about even though the teams are not having lots of wins.
@@John-sm6by Agreed, you can sort of tell it was full, and you can certainly hear it. I guess I am kind of suspecting an ACC conspiracy theory that they are not giving Cal and Stanford their due! If it was Wake and Duke they sure would have been showing the crowd reaction!
@@pg100ify i give them credit especially in northern california where college football has been dead for a while. But if you want to see a real live stadium in support of Cal and Stanford, both teams have to be truly good
Cal hasn’t been investing in football for over the last 10 years. As long as the team wins 5 to 7 games a year the staff keep their job. Don’t expect much.
Cal football actually didn’t break my heart for once lfggg
yeah but we got too lucky with this one lol
@@svcexplorers. we've lost 3 games this season by a total of FOUR points. we deserved this luck lmfao
@ you’re so right! lol
The ONE time we win a one-score game, and make a comeback, and it's against our biggest rival. Hell yeah 🪓🐻💙💛
The ACC has alot of cool bowl games in it lineup. Sun bowl, Holiday bowl, Pinstripe bowl. Cal goes bowling in first ACC season. Congrats
And zero National Championship legitimate chances. 👏 👏 👏 😂
@@TheSupernaturalWolf41going to take a complete overhaul to even compete for a spot in the top 25
Cal still has PAC12 bowls this year
What a gritty win by the Bears. Nothing will ever beat the 1982 Big Game, but this ranks up there with the Chase Garbers run.
Go Bears! Beat Stanfurd!

What a drive that was!!!!! We retain the Axe and we are bowl bound!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Still gotta clean up that sloppy o-line play. 🐻
Stanford stomped Cal. But then Cal came back. An exciting game!
ROLL ON YOU BEARS 🐻
Congratulations ! Go 🐻's
Why did Cal switch sides - from team in front Cal student section to other side of field?
So they would not have to stand in the sun and get the shady side of the stadium.

Odd how they have next to no crowd shots. usually highlight reels have at least some, if the stadium is full...
Stadium was stacked but whos really excited for a cal stanford game when both teams suck

I miss the pack/12. Let's get it back! Could care less about acc teams! Good game!

The PAC-Fudge teams pack fudge no matter where they go. lol
Cal, your QB is crying after beating a struggling team. This is why you're not a legitimate program anymore. ACC is the All Cupcake Conference.
Its a comeback win over a rival brah just chill a little
