I had a dream that Elder Bednar came to my house and wanted to rest so I let him sleep on the couch. I then had another weird dream after. I woke up and prayed about it and God told me this: it means you need to make the words of my apostles live in your heart. Then I found this. It answered every question that I had crop up in the past few months. God knows I pay attention to abstract promptings more easily and prepared me to click on a link to a 37 minute video which I usually wouldn’t do!! Thank you for posting this!!

I am also so EXCITED that you are creating a relationship directly with God the Father through Jesus Christ using prayer that is enabling you to get the answers to your questions.
We ALL have questions, and when we ASK GOD to reveal the answers, He ALWAYS does.

I am new to the church and still have doubts in the information. I was sent here by Heavenly mother and father to fulfill my role in this church. I had to decide to repent and change to be a member. It is life changing for me. It is a miracle I even converted and walk in to church. I believed so many beliefs that LDS members know today it was easy for me to agree. Yes the holy spirit brought me to this place. You are blessed to know these things.

@@jaredw.7712 I see the world differently than many others I have met in this organization. My personal revelations have happened my entire life. One day I dreamed I was an LDS member in a very important role. It made no sense as I knew very little about them and somehow I was a member. For sometime this vision seemed like a weird dream that made no logical sense. Months later I meet LDS missionaries so I followed the rabbit hole to see if the vision has any meaning. Skeptical and 4 months later I was converted. The spiritual experience was intense and satisfying. Whenever I doubted why I am here HF and HM give me realistic proof I am where I need to be. I believe that my companion is in this church and I was sent here to find them I believed immediately that Russell Nelson is a prophet even though I have never met him. My struggle is I am not ordinary which makes it a unique situation for me. I have something to give others that cannot see what I can. Spiritual eyes is real and reading about others having the same gift is comforting. Thanks for reaching out to me I appreciate you.

Yes many mysteries will be Revealed to all of us. If we will only ask for truth and understandit shall be given
to you. Many outsiders do not understand how we as a people. Understand what is given to each member of the Restored church Of jesus christ. Reading the scriptions constantly with a prayer in our heart and mind will always consume revelation, not just given to anyone. Truth and understanding will come more frequently. If we are serious abour goals
In Christ. A lot of information comes to each of us through dreams.

Elder Bednar is speaking to Latter-Day Saints, we strive to keep the law of sacrifice, gospel, obedience, chastity, and consecration. We strive to always remember Him, and keep His commandments which He has given us. The outside world, including Protestant Christians can mock, scoff, deride, and dismiss our commitment. They can say keeping these covenants are not necessary....Nevertheless...:). We will keep striving....I've lived these covenants, and can witness they have helped me change my selfish nature, have softened my heart, brought innumerable blessings to my wife and children, refined my soul, and helped me Hear Him each day I strive....no one can take that testimony from me....two years serving the people of Chile, serving in many callings in the church, it's all been a blessing to me. I suggest those not of this faith, especially those professing to be true Christians, allow us to freely practice our faith.....in the end, we will all come to know that Brother Joseph was sincere, the gospel was restored, this is His Church, and we all had our agency to choose. No need for contention...Thank you Elder Bednar.

The scoffing and mocking you speak of is rarely pointed at "your commitment" to live a resolute life, they are directed towards the insistence to assent to many propositional claims that are not merely a matter of "not being seen" but have been seriously challenged by real evidence. The commitment to live a Christlike life is what the church ought to focus on, building a Zion life community, and get away from the dogmatic stuff that really has nothing to do with the commitment to follow Christ.

I needed this reminder. Satan definitely tries to justify giving up my Believe in God and His Restored Gospel. Not just the Restored Gospel, but of late, knowing the records of the Bible is true since there have been many hands which these records have passed through.
However, I am striving to continue my scripture study and I want to hold on because I know that I can't discover more things if I choose to give up now.
Thank you for sharing your Testimony Elder Bednar.
One thing I noticed when you were recounting the response the Nephites were having amongst themselves when signs of Jesus Christ's birth was becoming manifested in the Promised Land, was the phrase "Wicked Traditions".
Today I see the prophecy of Isaiah 5:20 which describes those in the Last Days ascribing Good as 'evil 'and Evil as 'good'.
Many of the Judeo Christian Moral Principles and Traditions have been set aside "as a thing of not.", and have instead been replaced by Satan's agenda. Things such as promoting the breaking down of the Traditional Family, Confusing youth and Adults about their True & Divine Identity (Son or Daughter of God), and worshiping the Earth instead of God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ.
Thank you for posting this fireside. I am grateful for this timely message God has put in front of me today. ❤️

      I’m a Mormon.
We should believe the Scriptures, not man.
And the Scriptures testify the Mormon Church is the only true Church of Jesus Christ on earth.
But if something is taught that can't be verified by Scripture, think twice about believing it.
I understand why so many people are leaving the church.
Many false doctrines exist causing countless RUclips videos mocking Mormonism.
False doctrines like grandpa gods, (God the Father has a father), Mormons becoming gods of their own planets, Adam helped create the earth, Christ and Satan are brothers, God the Father has rarely spoken in Scripture, the African Americans were bad in the pre-existence; all of which no Scripture verifies.
And many are leaving the church because if you don't fit the mold the church leaders sculpture you're not a part of the click.
Mormons believe the church leaders over Scripture.
The zealous believers have the church leaders in mind with everything thing they think say and feel testifying to impress others how much they believe the current church leaders are God-inspired.
But the Scriptures reveal the church leaders are the problem with the entire planet.
      For example,
In 2 Thessalonians chapter 2 we are informed of a person revealed as the son of perdition.
This son of perdition sits in the temple of God making himself God or above all that is called God.
Therefore, if the Mormon Church is the only true church, and I believe it is and will back that belief using the Scriptures, then the only person 2 Thessalonians chapter 2 could be talking about is the current Mormon prophet.
For what other church is the one and only true church with temples?
And Joseph Smith taught a son of perdition can only be a church member holding all the rites of God's priesthood and using the priesthood against God as did Judas.
Therefore, who else other than the current Mormon prophet could the apostle Paul be speaking of?
It's as plain as the nose on a face.
And even God in the Doctrine and Covenants tells us about the current church leaders and how displeased He is saying the end of this world will begin among them. (D&C 112:23-26)
Joseph Smith taught the false doctrine of grandpa gods (God the Father has a father) not over the pulpit as a prophet but as a sermon at a funeral, which should not be taken as Scripture fulfilling God’s sayings to Paul, And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: (2 Thessalonians 2:11)
That they might be damned who believed not the truth….(2Thessalonians 2:12)
And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. (Revelation 13:7) (D&C 112:23-26)
And the current Mormon prophet is the son of perdition because he has all the saints believing God our Heavenly Father was created by a being greater than Himself but Scripture says there is no greater than our God. (Hebrews 6:13)
Therefore, the son of perdition has all the saints breaking the first commandment God gave Moses,
Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
Does it make sense to reasonable thinking that God would command we have no other gods before Him but really there are?
Does He not want us to know this?
      Why is it a secret?
There’s a reason He commanded to have no other gods before Him.
Because by believing in false grandpa gods the saints believe our God is an infinitely lesser God putting Lucifer before God.
And the moment we put a god before our God, our God becomes an infinitely lesser God.
Not only that, our God also becomes a liar.
He and the Scriptures says He is the greatest of all.
He and the Scriptures says He is the Most High God.
He and the Scriptures say He created all things.
And in the Scriptures He says over and over there are no gods beside Him. (Isaiah 44:6) (Isaiah 44:8) (Isaiah 45:22) (Hebrews 6:13)
Therefore, the saints believing there are gods before Him is the saints believing the son of perdition or the current Mormon prophet over the Scriptures and calling God and the Scriptures a lie.
      And Isaiah warns,
Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! (Isaiah 5:20)
The saints call the son of perdition (President Nelson) good and good (Jesus Christ) evil.
Because President Nelson says Christ and His Father are liars.
President Nelson says Christ did not create all things. (John 1:1-3)
Matter/energy cannot be created or destroyed the scientists say therefore the son of perdition or President Nelson says the grandpa gods created these calling Christ and the Scriptures a lie.
Well did Abinadi warn the wicked king Noah and his priests,
Have ye taught this people that they should observe to do all these things for to keep these commandments? (Mosiah 13:25)
I say unto you, Nay; for if ye had, the Lord would not have caused me to come forth and to prophesy evil concerning this people. (Mosiah 13:26)
And what is the commandment Abinadi taught that the people do not obey?
Thou shalt have no other God before me. (Mosiah 12:35)
Know ye not that I speak the truth? Yea, ye know that I speak the truth; and you ought to tremble before God. (Mosiah 12:30)
And it is a false doctrine to say God our Heavenly Father has rarely spoke to us in Scripture.
      (3 Nephi 27:26), (3 Nephi 24:1). (2 Nephi 31:20), (2 Nephi 31:11)
Beware of the doctrine of the scribes and Pharisees. (Matthew 16:6-12)

There is so much that we do not know, because if we knew it, we could not comprehend it.
I always think to myself, “why is God so unfair to those who do not believe? Many of these people who refuse to believe were raised that way by their parents, they were taught to do so”.
So why does God punish them for the sins of their parents, and their parents parents? That is not fair. But, in 2 Nephi, it talks about our first estate (pre mortal existence) and those who were faithful THERE will be added upon HERE, in this second estate. That scripture brought great comfort and answered my pained soul for those who do not join the Church (given the. Opportunity). So many people refused to utilize and advance their faith in the pre mortal existence, therefore, that is the amount of strength manifesting here in this estate, which they mustered in the previous estate.
Hopefully this helped someone understand a little better, the questions that I had. God is just.

Stop thinking and listening to evil, and pray with your whole soul to the Lord and ask questions. It takes work! The last day takes work! How are we going to make it without going to the temple, without ordinances, and the General Authority!? It will be so bad and intense, we must devolope our relationship with God to make it, have hope and believe in the Prophet! Keep praying and believing do what is right, that we may be blessed often!

Someone needs to tell Bednar that if he wants to try and attack biblical and historical Christian beliefs, he should do more than 5 minutes of research. He completely misrepresented what biblical Christians believe about the nature of God, the atonement, creation and the Fall. He’s attacking a straw man. Sloppy and self-serving work from a so called apostle of God. But when you own the mic and the audience reveres your every word I guess you can say whatever you want. Sad and disingenuous. But at least he acknowledges Mormonism teaches a different God, a different Jesus, and a different gospel than historical biblical Christianity. I appreciate him not trying to pretend that Mormonism is just some offshoot of Christianity like many do. It’s a whole different religion.

My personal challenge is not the eternal truths that I see but the hundreds of historical, geographic and scientific errors in the BOOK OF MORMON. There are so many that I can no longer attend LDS classes to be told of how I should live my life based on the fictional characters in this Book.
This does not mean that I do not believe in God or Jesus.

I studied pre-Colombian America and learned that before European colonization, there were no sheep, pig, oxen, elephants or horses anywhere in all the Americas. There were no coins, no silk, no honeybees. There were no WHEELS, much less wagons and chariots. No “fine steel”. I tried for a long time to reconcile all those things being included in the BofM.
There’s no mention of what Natives actually ate: squash, potatoes and beans. Nothing about their trade routes that extended from Canada to Peru and sea to sea. Their various languages, cultures, belief systems.
Then you have these faithful Jewish people who take the Torah (that Nephi murdered a drunk man to get) that contained Jewish law and tradition but by the time they get to America they’re Christian (600 years before the birth of Christ), and in absolutely no way observe Judaic law. Nothing. No kosher, no Saturday sabbath, no ritual baths, etc etc. Read the Book of Ether sometime and imagine it. 30 people in wood submarines the length of a tree. They take their flocks and herds, fowl in cages, swarms of bees! Food and water for all of them for a YEAR. So all this getting tumbled over and under the ocean, people, animals, cages, water barrels and excrement slammed against THE WALLS FOR A YEAR. What did the people eat? No fire. It’s just ridiculous. Faith can take you just so far then your god given common sense has to kick in.

I love the Book of Mormon, I love the fact that my ancestors lived in this Continent long before Christopher Columbus discovered America. I am a devout student of all that is related to the rich History of the Indigenous People of the Americas. I have devoted many hours to the study of the majority of tribes from North, Central and South America. And the more I study these things, the more my testimony grows about the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon (So unless you have dedicated thousands of hours studying the history, geography, science, legends, cultures, knowledge, rise and falls of empires and tribes etc etc then I will say your knowledge is limited.
You say that there are errors in these items you mentioned ? The only thing I can say my brother is that you have sought to find error ! It is like those that say that science, history and geography prove that there is no God and that Christ was just a man ! But, you and I know that their knowledge is flawed, because there is a God and Christ is our Savior !

Which Jesus are you talking about?
When you seek answers from the Book of Mormon instead of the Bible, God can't help you because you have turned your back on Him. Therefore this leaves the door open for Satan (II Corinthians 11:14-15) to step into your life with a false christ or prophet showing you signs and wonders to lead you away from the real Jesus of the Bible who is God the Son 2nd person of the Trinity. God Himself warns us about this in MATTHEW 24:23-24 "Then if anyone says to you, Look, here is the Christ! or There! do not believe it. For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect..."
Mormons teach and believe that their jesus is the brother of Satan, which contradicts what God says in His Bible that Jesus is God the Son 2nd person of the Trinity.
So Mormons, which Jesus do you believe in?
A). Your jesus of the Book of Mormon who is the brother of Satan.
    OR
B). The Jesus of the Bible who is God the Son 2nd person of the Trinity.

President Nelson teaches that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the New Testament church restored to earth. The Book of Mormon teaches no such thing that Jesus and Satan are brothers. This teaching comes from the Bible in Isaiah 14:12 and Luke 10:18, which clearly speaks of satan first being the morning star who fell from heaven. Both Jesus and satan have been called, in the Bible, as the morning star. The difference is Jesus is everything divine being from eternity to eternity without a beginning nor an end. Satan fell from heaven and forfeited his status in heaven because he chose evil.
Unfortunately, evangelicals believe God to be capable and so sinister that He created satan. No where in the Bible is that idea taught. Based on the Bible, which is more consistent? Both Jesus and Lucifer, both called the morning star in the Bible, had some sort of a relation to the other, yet lucifer rebelled, fell from heaven, and because of his choice became the devil … or God, being filled with love and mercy, created evil made manifest in satan himself? Is there biblical support for the idea that an all-righteous God, who can do no evil and would do no evil, created a being in satan who can do nothing good and is entirely evil? That is the belief that is complete heresy.
It is pure irony that you claim to follow the Bible and, I suspect you, presumably an evangelical, believe something about the creation of satan that is not biblical and yet you ridicule an idea about the relation between Jesus and lucifer, which is grounded in the Bible, ignorantly and erroneously attributing the doctrine to the Book of Mormon.

But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed..."
There you are again, God Himself telling you that He did not send any angel from heaven to Joseph Smith.

The Bible verses doesn't teach that Jesus and Satan are brothers, zip, zero, NaDa. And that type of loose and misguided interpretation is why the Mormon church isn't considered Christian.
By-the-way, you didn't answer my question I asked you earlier. The Book of Mormon is written in so called "reformed Egyptian" language.
Where is the linguistic evidence for this language?
To this day there isn't any shred of linguistic evidence for "reformed Egyptian" that makes up the Book of Mormon. If no evidence, then the whole Mormon theology is considered by Biblical definition as false doctrine.

@@tsmithson1 That is a very interesting insight and it is an interesting phenomenon to see people leave God altogether. Sometimes people just don't want to live the principles of religion. Others have their entire faith foundation shattered when they lose faith in the Church of Jesus Christ, and they experience a sort of existential crisis. The reasons go on and on. President Oaks articulated the concept well in a talk when he spoke of our doctrine that all mankind will be saved in a degree of glory, but that those who reach the highest degree of glory must follow a straight and narrow path.
People, including members of His church, sometimes forget that it is not an all-or-nothing proposition (heaven or hell) and that people's glory will vary as the stars of the sky. Therefore someone who does not follow the straight and narrow, covenant path do not need to leave God altogether. Satan would have people believe they are not worthy or that God must not exist if one has doubts or questions about his church on the earth. He uses this tactic with great effectiveness.
