It's important to call your local AHJ because regulations change sometime.
I'm looking to move into fleet washing exclusively instead of house washing because this is a side hustle of mine and not intended to ever take the place of my full time career, and with fleet washing I can potentially work nights and not just Saturdays. I just recently called my county's environmental engineer (I live just outside of Richmond, VA) and they said that you can't discharge filtered runoff starting next year into stormwater drains here because it unbalances the pH of the water supply. Good thing I called.
That said, you can still use this product with by blocking all stormwater drains with impermeable flood barriers and redirecting all wastewater to the BATGuard, then pump the filtered water into nearby grass (as long as the client is OK with it, which I don't think most would have an issue since it's been filtered). I doubt any AHJ would have a problem with that. (It also means you don't have to spend up to $3-4K on a water reclamation system.

Does it filter SH? I looked on their site and did not see any info.
Don’t believe it’s been tested for that but I’ll check.
I spoke to the manufacturer, and she just updated her site to state that the product does NOT stop SH in any way. This product will allow bleach to pass through unfiltered and enter the storm drain. Since bleach is such a common chemical in pressure washing, it’s very important that that this info be made public.
@@WmsYTpage In Doug's defense (not that he needs it) MOST commercial cleaning companies do NOT use bleach/sh/pool chlorine on large flat surfaces. We use hydroxide based products NOT SH therefore I do not see the point you are trying to make. Maybe YOU should have a disclaimer on your comments stating that you have no professional experience therefore any comments made are only suggestive. Doug has done a Very good job with his disclaimers. Btw if you are using sh on commercial projects....Stop!
