The main reason I got evolved and not Ascended was cause, unfortunately, my pc just isn't powerful enough to run ASA. it can barely run ASE if I crank up all the graphics settings.
That’s fair. There’s definitely something to be said for how well Ark should be optimized, and it’s not really. I haven’t played in a while but i would say you aren’t missing out on too much, although they have fixed a lot of stuff.

Tbh, say it was bug-free, ran smoothly and was well optimised. I'd say 20 bucks would be a good pricetag.
Now say ''Ascended'' was not only for standard Ark but all DLCs aswell I def think 45 bucks would be fine, as long as they were bug free and fairly well optimised.
I agree 100%, they’re asking to much and we’re getting too little in return. Like you said IF it ran decent it would be fair to price around 20$ and if all dlcs were included and it still ran decent, then the 45$ price tag would be worth it. Instead we kinda got the worst of both worlds..

At the end of the day it’s still worth it as the bugs will be fixed, there’s no point just fully no getting the games because it isn’t big free. This happens with loads of games on launch and they are going to fix them so it’s still worth it as it’s not unplayable and will get better within a couple months as they keep fixing the bugs all the time.
I would disagree it’s worth it right now. Yes they will probably fix it, but we don’t know for sure. It’s possible they abandon it and just tell people to go back to evolved, we have no idea. Plus the time you would waste buying and playing a game that isn’t ready, just to risk losing hours of progress.
Should i buy ASA if im on the ps5? I've heard people saying the average fps goes from 20-30 with the default settings (so without changing anything) and if you change some stuff with commands and some other stuff you can get the 50-60 but you lose some of the visuals.
It really depends on your “line in the sand”. If some annoying bugs, crashes, loss of save data (generally less than an hour for me so I guess nothing too crazy, I also save often because of this) some clipping of terrain especially on mod maps, and just general disappointing stuff as far as knowing that the developer has the skills, the tools, and the resources to do right by what they put out yet they didn’t and still haven’t, if all that still sounds like something you could put up with, then yeah I would get it. Having mods on console is a massive bonus and was a big incentive for me. All those problems still happened to me and I still occasionally play and haven’t went back to vanilla ark so I guess in a way it was worth it or at least will be. If all that sounds like it’s not worth the hassle which is totally fair, then I wouldn’t buy it, not now at least. For reference I just played yesterday and all those problems are still present so none of that has been totally fixed.
@@samtheashen Thanks for replying! I've asked multiple ark youtubers the same similar question and they've all told me something along those lines. I'll probably buy ark anyways since i don't really care about the bugs that are in the game right now. The only bug that might annoy the living hell out of me will be the data loss but they'll probably fix it in the future. I'll consider on buying ASA tomorrow and see how it'll go. Even if the game will be unplayable then i will simply just wait till they fix the bugs and once again, thank you for responding and sharing your thoughts about the game.
@@h3x771 I think that’s a good idea! I’ve been playing again the last few days on The mod map Forglar and primal chaos. It’s been a blast honestly, only downside is that like 80-90% of the time I die and try to respawn the game crashes. Even on vanilla on the island, I don’t think it’s effecting everyone though. Anyways, I think you’ll have fun with it and like you said, worst case you can just wait it out for them to fix and optimize it!

Yeah I would stick with evolved until they fix most of the problems, when they do it’ll be worth it. The graphics look great, they don’t make up for the game breaking progress losing bugs though.
This sucks please update when single player games do save again as I’m one of them 😫

@@lukemather2930 of course! and i agree, the amount of potential is obvious, it's ark which we love, just needs to be ironed out, playable, and as close to bug free as possible. Have you played anymore of it?
