Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes - Mock Battle #5 (Skilled in War achievement/trophy)

Last mock battle you need to get the Skilled in War achievement/trophy. It might be easiest to do this after you have all the characters, but I did it a bit earlier. I highly recommend maxing out your units from the base building with Iris before attempting this.

The battles in this game just don't work properly. The fact that you can purposely get flanked and it's barely a disadvantage makes no sense. By all means you should lose horribly with this set up rather than barely winning and yet it does work for whatever reason.

I didn't think I was going to win, but I feel the same way. The story battles are obviously easier, but mock battles 4 and 5 were kind of a nightmare for no reason. But so was playing 10 hours of cards and 10-15 hours of eggfoot breeding and races.

Another tips is to use,
3 3 1/ 3 2 2 formation with nowa on the mid. You might lose 1 army but at then end the probabilty to win is high.
First use command to make top two troops in the mid stay still and in the middle with 3 army beat down the enemy in the bottom.
It will open up space in the middle when your left unit need to retreat.
Use seign and marissa to reduce the enemy troops and have general who able to heal your party.

So this got me further than i had gotten previously but you definitely got lucky there in the beginning with that second purple magic... thing, going off on the top left and then again at the end where one unit hangs back and allows them to come at you one at a time. I just cannot get them to do that and Seign always dies early on because that magic doesn't give him the advantage. So Reyna is just left out there all alone lmao. I really wish these battles were more clear.

Luck smiled upon me that day. The RNG is insane for these battles. Duels and mock battles don't make much sense compared to Suikoden.

I might have gotten lucky. Did you max out your units through the base building?

@@Dragonspear2462 oh man, sorry about that! I pulled that off on my first try, so I got fairly lucky. If the units types are being wiped out quickly, try swapping to another unit type kinda like Suikoden. The rock, paper, scissors strategy.

I actually don't in this game. Suikoden is: swords beats bows, bows beat magic, magic beats sword.

@@zutchkorr3056 no worries mate. you dont have to take it down. people can use it as a sort of base strategy for modification. the frustrating thing about it is getting lucky on the triggers.
