Wow! I Won!!! Thanks guys!! (and random computer thingy 🙃). Not only that but it's a postcard inspired by my home state as well! I love watching your travels across my home plus you two are one of the happiest couples I have ever seen, if ever there was two people made for each other it's you, you really warm my heart❤. The Grampians are stunning and such a contrast to the Bight, Southern Victoria has a reputation for 4 seasons in one day. The Blue Berry seems to be travelling well for you too. I very much look forward to each new part of your wanderings. I went to your Web site and will drop a contact there, thanks again!
actually fun fact, australia is the flavoured milk capital of the world. With south australia being the only place in the world where flavoured milk out sells carbonated drinks
The Grampians are fantastic. In the early 1980s, with two other teachers, we took a group of high school students from the far west of South Australia to The Grampians and the goldfields of Ballarat and Bendigo via Adelaide. They had an absolute ball, as they had never been to a city and had never seen hills as high as The Grampians. PS The best iced coffee in Australia is Farmer's Union from South Australia.
Farmer's Union is an absolute icon, but it's not actually that good. I say that as somebody that has drunk hundreds of litres of it in my lifetime. It's so sweet, with very little coffee flavour. I could go for one now though
This video doesn’t express the sheer energy required in your knees and feet to do the walks you’ve done! The steep steps at the waterfalls was nuts! You guys are fit!
You are doing a really great job of getting an overview of Australia, you could spend a year in each state and not see everything, and you guys have a time limit, so I'm really impressed at how much you are getting to see👍also happy you seem to enjoy it so much. Even driving those country roads is an experience in itself, you got some great footage of that 👍
I'm a Victorian by birth, but have lived and worked in WA for the last 25 years. The Grampians is still one of my favourite places in the world ... so far.
This Aussie is extremely happy that you’ve found the correct pronunciation for “emu”. Getting Americans to pronounce it right has proved “challenging” in my travels there! 😀
Yes the Americans always say emoo. Being an aboriginal word probably maybe 60000 years old, pronounced eeemyou, I think maybe us Aussie have it correct. How do Americans say the letter u in the alphabet? Keep up the good work though guys, it's a pleasure watching you enjoying our amazing country.
Your enthusiasm for life is contagious as is Tia’s smile which would light up the most dismal room. It is so obvious the love you have for each other is immense.
I really loved these small coastal Australian towns along the Great Ocean Road, one that stood out for me was Apollo Bay, gorgeous in a sublime Aussie way.
are you guys just the most suited couple ever? your outlook towards everything is soooo positive. look for the best thing you can find and celebrate it. luv your vids
I've lived most of my life within 50km of Halls Gap. Strong winds. Trees branches falling (never stand or camp under an Eucalyptus tree on a hot or windy day). Sandstone rock, so the cliff may not be safe.
Loving your journey. A few years ago, sitting at one of those tables outside that bakery, a Kookaburra swooped down and knocked the pie right out of my hand. Seeing you sitting there with unguarded pies made me laugh. The Grampians are great.
this was utterly beautiful, the tiny canyon, the gorgeous plants, especially with the fog as someone from perth with a completely different climate its stunning
Most humans on this earth are poor listeners. But you two are so attuned to each other that your natural timing is perfect in complimenting each other while communicating. You’re seriously inspirational to the highest degree.
We spent our childhood in the Grampians. Could of watched this video all day long. I still think the weather you had is the best time for the Grampians as all the little water ways flow and it gives the place an awesome fresh feel. Totally agree with the feeling you had when you stopped near the paddocks. You guys are reminding me on just how much i love our country. Shes a beautiful place. Hope your enjoying it and want to come back for more. Drive safe..
A couple of pommies ( English) were overwhelmed by the” vastness “of these types of views. They were looking across the Blue Mountains at the time but I’d say it applies to a lot of the country. 😊
The Grampians are well-known for ROCK CLIMBIING. There are some good videos of this on You Tube. An emu and a kangaroo are on Australia's coat-of-arms and on our Parliament building etc. because they move forward (and not backwards). "How ya goin' " in Oz lingo means "Hello, how are you?" WAR-nam- bool is an Australian aboriginal name. The majority of town and place names in Australia are in/from aboriginal/first nation languages.
Yep my ex was from cali and when I 1st said to him “how are you going” he said walking. I was like what? And he said I’m going to walk home until I explained I meant how are you, so funny. Glad your enjoying Australia. I live in Sydney, 10 minutes by train to central station and have a spare room if you need accommodation.
Thank you for another great video adventure, thank you for pausing to experience the feel of the bush and the feel of the open plains. Often the "pause" is the best part of any journey. Stay safe and stay well.
I think the reason that dogs are banned in a lot of places is to protect the native wildlife. For instance, at our local beach two very rare chicks were born so part of the beach was closed off to protect them. Some idiot with their dog went down there and the dog killed one of the chicks. :/
Love your sense of humour, Tia! Emusing, and there’s also emusic! 😂🇦🇺🇺🇸. While it might be a long drive between major Australian cities, along the way there are hundreds of townships worth exploring, each with their own unique points of interest. You’re wise to have chosen such a travel route, because you’re getting a taste of the REAL Australia! I found your first video the day after you posted it, and I’ve been with you ever since! 😜👍❤️🇦🇺
Hi Cheveyo & Tia, you both obviously love nature and it looks like Australia has been the perfect destination! Australia has a rugged beauty that's unique and so different to anywhere else. I remember whenever I have returned from OS, the smell of eucalypt trees hits me and I know I'm home. It's a comforting thing. There's so many places in Victoria that I could recommend including Wilsons Promontory that are spectacular. You probably won't have time to see as much as you'd like to but credit to you both for showing the world how beautiful Australia is. If you have arrived in Melbourne, a hawkers night market has started at the Queen Victoria Market on Wednesday evenings. Might be worth going to that. As I have mentioned before, a short day trip out of Melbourne that's worth doing is a drive along 'The Black Spur'. Enjoy your time when you are in Melbourne. Thanks for reminding me how lucky we are to live here. Cheers, Stef
Rob, that water trickling and the wind sound, I think is the deeper water underground rumbling. Really cool just the same! Aussies are very safety conscious so most of the best hikes are fenced and stepped. In the past, we’ve had people lost and injured in the bush, and as you would now be aware, rescuing them is a massive prospect.
I’m so happy you enjoyed my old home region of the Grampians. It’s such an awesome place, it never leaves you in spirit. I now live in Tasmania but your video had me back home instantly.
Hi guys!! I love the greenery and views!! The canyon was amazing!! I would love to see it someday! Love ya much!! Catori said she LOVES you and needs a hug soon . so glad you both are having fun and getting in nature more!!
The Grampians are near the end of the Great Dividing Range which transverses from the Eastern top of Australia to near Hamilton, Vic a distance of 3500 klm. you can actually see the last mountain suddenly ending in the middle of the plains of Western Victoria.. It separates the coast from the outback.
Do you like the Australian Bush? One of the things ex-pat Aussies get nostalgic for is the smell of the gum trees and the native flora in the bush. You might have seen some of our escapees in California. Yes dogs are also invasive. The dingo has an odd status as a longtime immigrant, but all non-marsupial vertebrate mammals are invasive to some extent.
Actually Australia grand canon is in Capertte Valley in nsw in the Lithgow area it is actually wide than the grand canon in the US but it’s not as deep. It’s amazing the view you have at pearsons lookout is jaw drop and the drive down into the valley is phenomenal the scenery is nothing you see anywhere. 😊
The happiest part of your trip in Oz so far for me, is that the mighty Mazda hasn't let you down... You guys have done some extensive kilometres so far and I'm so happy that you picked a reliable vehicle... not fun ever getting car trouble in between towns here.. especially over the Nullabor.... Good pick guys !!! (I'm a little biased... I also have a Mazda)...
Great video! The Grampians are just beautiful with so many hikes and lookouts to do. I live at the south end and feel very blessed! Glad you were able to fit a nice hike in and enjoy nature.
The weather has been rather miserable these school holidays. It looks to improve this week so hopefully the great ocean road tour will be a bit warmer and sunnier.
Ha Ha. Loved this episode too. Can't wait till you get up here to Sydney and I take you out to the Blue Mountains. See Rob Reacts video of their trip to the mountains for a sneek preview of what's to come! I love Victoria and it's high country, I hope you guys are enjoying it too! You are both definitely looking more like Aussies however wearing shorts all the time! Be safe.
Such a pretty place to walk around (especially with someone special).. I spent a week there in a cabin. Was beautiful.. Ive even sat at the same table at Halls Gap! Our indigenous people have walked those paths and canyons since Time Immemorial.. I'm glad you got the the top, its such a special place..
Another great vlog guys I note that this is the second time you say you will have to come back and do an activity so it’s looking good for a return visit some day 😊. Good to hear that tc
You have better times when the weather is a little challenging keeps the crowds away. Mt Rosea was my ffavourite walk there and the Northern Grampians is different again on one walk you climb up through rock
In 1984, when I migrated here, the young Customs officer at Melbourne Airport, checking the luggage, noticed some outdoors gear. "You are going to the Grampians...?" "Not too sure." "If you don't promise it right now, I will have you arrested and taken for detention, served as hiking every path in that region." "Promised !" And fulfilled many times since then ...
I spend so much time watching travel vloggers in Europe, so to see you guys in my backyard is very cool. Hope the weather is kind to you while you are here!
I was really excited for this one and the promise of hiking but I never could have expected the journey you guys went on and wow what a view. When you get to the halfway seat, you have to sit in the halfway seat! hahaha also the bloopers have me rolling every time but the dedication you guys have to run back and grab the camera on these shots is amazing
Another great vlog; been hangin out for it! The Grampians are spectacular and well worth the visit. Glad you are seeing more of the country away from the coast. Requires a bit of effort but well worth it. As I am fond of saying, Australia is more than the sum of its beaches. THE most spectacular waterfalls in the country are in the Kimberley region in Australia's north west, during the wet season, after a storm. Dark brooding skies, a volume of water you couldn't imagine was possible in "the dry continent", set against a backdrop of spectacular lightning shows. Not accessible by car and for most of the wet season not even by 4WD; helicopter in and out . If someone else asks "how ya goin", surprise them with "just great mate, wouldn't be dead for quids" [I'm very well thank you; just great to be alive and there's no amount of money that would change that]😂
My auntie and uncle owned a holiday home in Halls Gap for 25 years, which we could use any time. I must have been up there at least 15-20 times, and NEVER got sick of it. My favourite spot in Victoria.
Great video guys, I was at Halls Gap with my kids yesterday and actually wondered if you were going there! Shame I didnt bump into you! Glad you enjoyed it, we also thought it was such a spectacular place and we loved the rocks and aboriginal rock art that was nearby.
The Grampians look amazing, when I saw you walking up to the Pinacles i thought hmmm that looks like a lava flow, well what do you know turns out the Grampians are the most recent Volcanos in Australia. Learn something new everyday. ( probably forgot that from school days lol ). Love watching you guys as a couple, very refreshing.
Chuckled all day at work after Tia took you guys to the Big Potato. Not sure I've seen a happier couple of people taking things as they come. Trying to watch all your vids now
A few years ago, there was a ferocious fire that swept through this area burning much of the vegetation and exposing the geology, which was very interesting if you like uplifted sandstone geology. The sandstone geology in the area is a rarity in Victoria, because Victoria is a region created mostly by volcanism. That is why the Grampians are attractive, particularly to botanists, as plants grow there which are not found elsewhere, except in places like the Blue Mountain near Sydney where you have been l think.
Have to say I was impressed with Chev's Aussie accent in the car. Sounded really Australian to me. Come on Tia, you're dragging the chain. Get with the program, and practice that Aussie accent. Oh, I loved that comment about "How are you going?" Chev, maybe your next challenge is to say to an Australian, "How ya goin mate?"
My partner and I did the walk to pinnacle last year for first time. It was so magical, even if it did rain the whole time. Hahaha. Love watching your adventure
Having grown up not far away from the Grampians, it was quite common to make day trips there. Ive done Mackenzie Falls and the Pinnacle many times since the age of 9. I only live 1hr 45min drive to the East of Halls Gap in Ballarat.
Hey guys have really been enjoying your around Oz travels, especially as your not just doing the capital's but your seeing everyday Australia and some really out of the way places. Would love to see you continue your journey east then north because you will be continually amazed I guarantee. NSW my state is really beautiful and where I live on the Barrington Coast we've got unspoilt beaches to actual mountains that receive snow each year. Hopefully you will make it this far but even if you don't it's been really great to see what you have so far.
Loving your vlogs. Just have a tip for a budget friendly meal when in Melbourne. The Hare Krishna restaurant at 147 Swanston Street have tasty vegetarian meals, $9.50 for all you can eat! Happy travels.
Did you go to Tower Mountain, Warnambool? Hwy 1, is cut into the cone ash layer of the Mountain, Australia's active volcano's, a great garden, hot spot not subduction zone, great garden. The gums red, white blue stringy, mallee have a habit of dropping branches when the weather changes, or really hot. The great Ocean Rd is a wonder, don't try to complete in a day, lots of off Rd, places to see and walk.
Isn't nice to drive on the Australian roads without those giant oversized tanks or trucks as you call them coming at you all the time. Yes Victoria is know for 3 seasons of weather in one day and sometimes in 1 hour. Loving the videos guys. Hopefully when you get to New South Wales you get the chance to head to the Blue Mountains you have a look at Jenolan Caves. These would be the best caves in Australia and just about the world.
I spent many Christmases at Zumsteins as a child. Back then 35 years ago the kangaroos use to come up to the veranda of our rented cottage. It was magical. The kangaroos now are too scared of humans because they stopped tourists from feeding them. It’s a beautiful place
So I'm currently in The Grampians and I knew you guys had been here , so I just re watched your video for some hints! I experienced the 4 seasons in the day thing today and it's spring time here in Aussie now. 😂
Can't believe you guys missed the opportunity to see the giant Koala! Also don't judge the coffee by the sugar filled iced coffees in a bottle
Wow! I Won!!! Thanks guys!! (and random computer thingy 🙃). Not only that but it's a postcard inspired by my home state as well! Congrats, looks a great postcard too! 👍👍
Congrat's Rob.
I have really enjoyed your inland detour. Most bloggers follow the Australian coast and miss the soul of the country.
So far we have much preferred the less-visited parts of Oz 😊😅
actually fun fact, australia is the flavoured milk capital of the world. With south australia being the only place in the world where flavoured milk out sells carbonated drinks
...because Farmers Union Iced Coffee. It's the only one worth bothering with.
Funny Rob Parsons your card winner I think he's got his own RUclips channel on gold sniping in Tasmania.
The Grampians are fantastic. South Australia and NT sell more Farmers Union Iced Coffee than Coca Cola
Farmer's Union is an absolute icon, but it's not actually that good. I say that as somebody that has drunk hundreds of litres of it in my lifetime. It's so sweet, with very little coffee flavour. I could go for one now though
@@TheSimoth Try the "strong" variety.
If you enjoy mountains and hiking, I'd highly recommend Tasmania on your next visit to Australia.

And so say all of us - as well as correctly pronouncing Melbourne, Brisbane, Aussie, and that Sydney isn’t the capital of Australia 😂😂
😆
And to stop saying “put a shrimp on the barbie’
Yes the Americans always say emoo. Being an aboriginal word probably maybe 60000 years old, pronounced eeemyou, I think maybe us Aussie have it correct. How do Americans say the letter u in the alphabet? Keep up the good work though guys, it's a pleasure watching you enjoying our amazing country.
Just say to them, so you're from the oo/es/ay then?
Love your australian series - best version of australia travel!
Your enthusiasm for life is contagious as is Tia’s smile which would light up the most dismal room. It is so obvious the love you have for each other is immense.
I really loved these small coastal Australian towns along the Great Ocean Road, one that stood out for me was Apollo Bay,

Go down south. Pemberton and so are very similar to all that and is in WA
Your positive outlook on everything you come across is like a breath of fresh air. Thanks for coming to Australia.
Most humans on this earth are poor listeners. But you two are so attuned to each other that your natural timing is perfect in complimenting each other while communicating. You’re seriously inspirational to the highest degree.
Look its an Emu .... Tia for scale
🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂
Hahahahahah no chance ...
😂😂😂
😂😂
Holy smokes! THE Rob Parsons won your postcard? He's an AMAZING youtuber!
so glad you've done outside of Melbourne , Victoria is beautiful
I recommend Tomaree Mountain lookout in Port Stephens (north of Sydney), if you are going that way.
"How you going?" "By car" 🤣 I love that.
Never been to the Grampians, looks amazing.
Another American, Macy Schmidt, is based at Halls Gap and regularly releases blogs.
Thank you for another great video adventure, thank you for pausing to experience the feel of the bush and the feel of the open plains. Often the "pause" is the best part of any journey. Stay safe and stay well.

Heck yeah! Can’t wait to see more of your adventures!
When are you in Melbourne? You have to go to the footy I can help with recommendations if you need. Enjoy!
Rob, that water trickling and the wind sound, I think is the deeper water underground rumbling. Really cool just the same! Aussies are very safety conscious so most of the best hikes are fenced and stepped. You two are the best, I've watched your adventures all the way, well done and enjoy this great Country.

I now live in Tasmania but your video had me back home instantly.
😊👍🏼 Your smiles and laughter are infectious! Thank you!
Love watching your journey in Australia. Have you tried a lamington yet? They’re usually in the bakeries🥰

Yet another fantastic video. Halls gap is a great place. So we wait to see what you get up to next.
The happiest part of your trip in Oz so far for me, is that the mighty Mazda hasn't let you down... Good pick guys !!! (I'm a little biased... I also have a Mazda)...
No words, too pretty...love your appreciation of our wonderful country!
Love watching you guys explore our beautiful country
I work in the shadow of the Grampians and need reminding every now and then how lucky I am. Thank you.

Tourism Australia should be at the minimum be supplying your coffee for the entire trip! Loved this
I'm so happy the beauty of the Grampians (now Gariwerd) moved you. They are truly awesome
Another great vlog guys I note that this is the second time you say you will have to come back and do an activity so it’s looking good for a return visit some day 😊. Good to hear that tc
These videos are gold what a lovely couple need your own tv show
Ive done all the walks in the Grampians, awesome place country Victoria, I'm from country Victoria but moved to Adelaide years ago 😊

How freaking cool! Amazing hike guys! The canyons and that 360 view! Keep on keeping on!! 🤙

Great video, beautifully shot. Would definitely recommend checking out Wilson’s prom as well whilst you are in Victoria if you have the time.
4 seasons in one day is the title to one of Crowded House's songs. It's a homage to Melbourne's weather, 4 seasons in one day.
I was really excited for this one and the promise of hiking but I never could have expected the journey you guys went on and wow what a view. Tia and Rob, how ya goin? You are officially a pair of polished diamonds. ❤❤❤😊😊😊
My husband & I did them in winter many moons ago, sat there with a flask of peppermint tea 😊
My auntie and uncle owned a holiday home in Halls Gap for 25 years, which we could use any time. I must have been up there at least 15-20 times, and NEVER got sick of it. My favourite spot in Victoria.
Saw this video on the Natasha and Debbie show and loved it.

The Grampians are stunning but wait till you go to the blue mountains in NSW it's even better and much larger in area
The landscape is sooo beautiful and soooo different to the Nullarbor
Looks like a different country
Have to say I was impressed with Chev's Aussie accent in the car. Sounded really Australian to me.
Come on Tia, you're dragging the chain. Get with the program, and practice that Aussie accent.
Oh, I loved that comment about "How are you going?"
Chev, maybe your next challenge is to say to an Australian,
"How ya goin mate?"
You two lovebirds must have reached Melbourne by now. Looking forward to you finding a few new angles.
Ah, the Grampians. Ah, the serenity.
I’m so glad you bought Bluey in Perth because it’s been really enjoyable to watch your travels!
Beautiful scenery ❤
I would really encourage you to camp at the Prom - you will DEFINITELY encounter wombats and there’s some good hikes.
If you are in Melbourne for ANZAC Day (25 April). Then the AFL (football) game at the MCG will be an amazing experience if you can get tickets.
Totally. It has a real grand final feel even though it’s a ‘home and away’ (regular) round.
if you haven't seen it, watch the classic Australian film Picnic at Hanging Rock (Hanging Rock is just north of Melbourne)
You should try where I’m from. Hannam Vale. There is one general store, a primary school, a church and a hall. That’s it mostly. Rest is dairy country
Australia is really expansive!
The Great Ocean Road is fantastic. I'm sure you will really enjoy it.
Lol glad yas enjoyed it so much tho soo beautiful thanks for sharing
Last time I was at the pinnacle everything was covered in clouds, so I'm glad you got to see the view
