The director of the John Wick series of films, Chad Stahelski, began his career as a stuntman, then stunt coordinator -- eventually moving into directing. If you look into his career, you'll see why Keanu went into the franchise so readily -- there was already a relationship of mutual trust and respect between them.

Not a Mustang , This is the year I graduated and almost traded my 67 Camaro SS Convertible for this 1970 Chevy CHEVELLE SS with a 396 chasing the motorcycle. This in prestigious condition is worth up to $150,000 but in 70 it was just under 4 thousand.

I love the fact the pencil thing is like an in joke... To show him do it would be like a macian telling how the trick was done...
It remains folklore, a fairy tale, it adds to the mystique.
He killed 3 men in a bar with a pencil. It just rides the line of absurd but not too absurd that it's unbelievable... It makes you think how he did it and is it even possible?
Showing him doing it would spoil the joke.. It would be.. 'oh he did it' meh, I wish they didn't show me...

1:13 - "What is that? A Ford Mustang?" Oh no... no, no, my dude. That is a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS-454.
John's 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429 would run you between $150K and $550K. Those values depend on condition and if it is original, restored, modified, and being unique because of what color, transmission, or options it has. Of course, not worth much after it's been totaled like John's. lol.

As is the case for all classic cars, value is based on condition. A Boss 429 is about $150,000 to over $500K.
The car in the opening scene of this movie is a 1970 Chevelle SS 454 (LS6). Also a six figure car.

Me and an good friend got into an argument and a few punches were thrown before we got dragged outside and told that we were barred from the pub... That pub was our family we all grew up in that pub and me and my pal who I was fighting with looked at each other and immediately knew that we were fooked. It turned out ok. We texted a couple of girls they were in a pub in the town centre we joined them. I had a key to my granny's house to feed her fish and water her plants while she was away. We stayed there for the night. Had a pretty decent 4some.

Sort of. That's accurate in terms of bleeding out vs blunt force trauma. However, no assassin in this world would take the time to slit someone's wrist and hang around until they confirmed the kill. I see it more as evidence that John honored the marker and he's no longer in debt to Santino. Without the gunshot wound Santino could hypothetically still claim John owes him.

Actually, John killing Santino, even on Continental grounds makes sense. He has to stop Santino's takeover of New York, and the only way to do that is to kill Santino. If John leaves the Continental, Santino's contract on John's life is still active. So, either way he is going to be continually hunted. Kill Santino, stop the takeover/war and you're hunted. Wait for Santino to leave the Continental, Santino takes New York and if you leave the grounds people are going to try to kill you anyway. The choice is easy, kill Santino.

Just to comment on your final thoughts about that world.
I love the fact that we know everything about that 'hit man' world without being told...
In all of these these movies there is no exposition dump. There isn't 'that scene' where an older guy says "back in the 1900s your great-grandfather started a clandestine group of elite assassins. We will build a 5* hotel in every major city for respite, and we will use our own currency, gold coins made from our grandfathers bullions "... Any other movie would say that shit while two people are in a diner... It would just flat out explain everything with words because the 'great unwashed' buy more movie tickets than any other set of people combined... hahha

    • @LA_HA
      @LA_HA 2 года назад

It has always seemed to me that this isn't a secret world. It's a large, worldwide guild of assassins that people know about, but just aren't a part of. As professionals, they're much like the bounty hunter guild in Star Wars -- they're not allowed to involve the innocent in their collections because there are repercussions both professionally and socially.
Much like what happened to the American mob. They used to just run around doing whatever they wanted to do, but they involved the innocent public -- specifically a couple of children. The public turned against them, and The Law came for them all. They lost everything.
So, the American mob created a Commission to handle the rules, regulations, punishments, and everything else. This restructuring allowed them to gain back what they lost, it cut down on infighting, and made business profitable.
I just imagine that this world worked similarly

In order to complete his task & marker he has to kill her thus he waited to the last second but had to shoot her before she died in order to complete the task. If he waited till after or let her truly die on her own the marker wouldn't be completed. After she died wounds & blood even the over all body react differently then when alive thus there would be signs he didn't kill her. Maybe Santino would have honored it even if he hadn't killed her or waited till after her death but unlikely thus better to be safe & sure Santino cant claim the marker not honored.
