      I use my phone in the shower for music because I love having my little concerts lol! They're like 10 minute concerts but still!

    i also have been in a weird "era" where I was so addicted to my phone and my screentime was 8-10 hours (literally so bad since I didn't even get 8 hours of sleep during that time) so on the last day of school I gave my mom my phone for the summer (I'm on my laptop which I barely use now) so far its good and I've started working out, reading and being more present. it feels like the days are going by slow which makes me sad sometimes but I've never felt more peaceful :)

      @fit_shortbase95 I know but it's so difficult, yea l can use a laptop for that but phone is smaller, faster and easier. I don't know how to get rid of this addiction. I tried plenty of apps but I just ignored them and deleted.

      @@zYuL05 Go back to buying physical books, studies show that our brain has a different and better reaction when we read paper books. Use a music app so you wont have to go to RUclips to workout. Use paper journals and planners because that is more interactive and will help you avoid temptation to use your phone. Try taking a break from specific apps like Facebook or Instagram instead of your entire phone.

    I like to try to have a phone free day per week. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't, and that's okay. Definitely helps set some boundaries.

I’ve been doing this strategy for over a year where I’m not on social media all day long and doing other favorite hobbies like reading, drawing or video games 🎮 on a console.     The part where you said that we no longer focus on the task but the video in the background I was painting my nails while watching this. I literally stoped and took a second to reflect then finished. I don’t know how to stop it’s so relaxing to just stay in the couch and watch tik tok. Anyway thanks for this video! ❤

    I'm old and wrinkly, so I remember the world without smartphones, or even cell phones. I realized a while back that I was so much happier before all of this accessibility.. Every time we'd travel I'd leave my phone home and I'd be happier. At first I thought it was because I was on vacation, but really, it was that stupid device. I deleted all my social media apps off my phone and noticed a real improvement in my happiness level. So yeah, I won't be going back to that any time soon.

    I have a phone were the battery gets done in about 2 hours and once it goes off I don't touch it till it's full and that's another 3 and half hours, by the time it's full am already doing sonething😂😂😂 but this really inspired me on extra stuff to do😂😂😂❤❤❤

      You do not need money to walk at a nice park, visit a library to read, cook a new dish at home, play brain games, workout, clean and organize, watch a movie, langauge learning, and writing (poems, songs, journaling).

      @@PurpleFlowerwork Visiting a library without a library card is no fun. I don't want to read like a quarter of a book and not get to finish it. Cooking new dishes often requires buying groceries and new spices. Watching a movie is obviously not free if you do it legally and not pirate. Laguage learning and working out also cost money if you are serious about it.
      I get what you mean, you can have a lot of fun even for free but it's a very real issue that the internet is the cheapest and at the same time most accessible way of spending our time. There are barely things as efficient.

    i cant do this soo I’ll make something for me and the others who can’t, morning - only check for any extra messages or important stuff (5-10minutes) don’t use any device then! evening- (20-30mins) night -check socials 10mins then use for 20mins, and for ideas it’s all in this video!

    I didnt have tiktok or insta only youtube and pinterest for media consumption. My screen time is around 1 per day unless my slump day (3-4hours) My colleague always wonders what I do most of time. There are more activities can be done besides scrolling for me.

    Don’t get me wrong, i appreciate this content and I love the idea of this video. However, clearly you were also using your phone to make the video. I was expecting to see you talking about how your time not being on your phone 24/7 was spent and what you did to overcome the boredom and urge to be on it. And it would have made much more sense to have used it JUST to listen to podcasts or something to get to sleep every night as opposed to using to film the video every day you recorded, using it to post and edit, etc. I’m not sure as to the extent to which this challenge affected you since you never really weren’t on it.

    I realized there is a big problem when I looked at my screen time and saw 2h and 40m !!!
    Like that's insane, that is about 1/4 of my waking hours, and 1/4 of my waking hours one day is 1/4 of my waking hours 1 month and 1 year and 1 life. So if I don't do something about this insanity I will have spent 1/4 of my waking life on my phone
