Long time listener, first time caller. Love the channel Austin. Just thinking, Google makes 50% of its revenue from google search ads. You’ve got Microsoft (or open AI) coming in which could easily take a good chunk of that, (maybe half, who knows, maybe more / less), in a very short time. Surely a massive chunk of googles valuation needs to flow to Microsoft. Previously, googles search ad revenue was untouchable and it was valued that way, it’s just not the case anymore. That’s a massive fundamental change to both business. The huge upside potential for Microsoft to get in the game isn’t priced in their current multiples either. Also, analyst forecasts were all taken before chat gbt changed the game and googles presentation flop. Facebook just needed to get lean and mean, it’s business wasn’t being threatened where i think this might be different for google. I agree, ultimately google can pivot and will still be a great company, but to compare this to facebook isn’t the right comparison. I own both companies via the FNGU ETN, but rather nervous about the google aspect! Love the videos mate, keep up the good work. Just a few thoughts for discussion.
Bing has 3% market share...and notably 98% of mobile searches are made via Google. No way Bing can get half of Google share any time soon, and all that with just an offering of a Chat robot which is running in Beta, that by all means Google will counter in no time. Fully agree with Austin to buy in Google, the intrinsic value of Google is much much higher.
@@easyp576 How, on mobile: Google pays Apple billions to be the default Search engine, in addition it has monopoly on Android phones. Mobile searches account for almost 60% of all searches. The only way is via Desktop, where Bing has 8% market share, which even is down from 9.5% in November 22 when they launched their bot. Moreover, the most searched keyword on Bing is.."Google", "RUclips", "Gmail" . A funny bot will not change the way ppl search (I find Bing pretty useless for search imo) and ppl forget that Google has years of experience with AI already, they just never took the chance to market it, till they will - and then we will look back at this 90$ share price and regret not have bought a ton of it.
@@easyp576 Google has probably one of the best databases in the world and is one of the most advanced company in terms of AI research. Google has also the balance sheet/ressources to take big steps. I’m convinced that ChatGPT is not a threat but it will certainly push google to move faster and that’s beneficial for us as shareholders
