A little about my journey: I quit my investment banking job in August 2023. started actively searching for a new job end of February 2024, and documenting this entire process. I am looking for a role where I can be analytical and creative. I love data/ numbers/ analytics :)
love your vids! Really appreciate the fact that you're not just showing us but also trying to help by giving out tips from your own experience! Good luuucckkkk
interview is realllly like a date, nervous, anxious and uncertain, u know u r not gonna score every time but u still need to move forward. Btw, I would love to say dating is waaaaay harder than interview lol😂. Keep it up!!
This video was great! I was pausing through out to read your tips! I’m in the job hunt as well and it’s so tiring!!hopefully the next video is filled with good news!
Just very quick tip: don't look up or gesture so much with your hands when you're interviewing because it makes you look as if you're lying. My husband, who's very good at acing interviews, gave me this advice. And I do notice that in myself--when I'm lying, I tend to look up. Not always, but usually.
It’s tough out there Angie but gotta keep pushing. 25M from London (anyone else from Ldn UK?) friend of mine left our grad scheme earlier this year which inspired me to look elsewhere - leave consulting to go back to fintech/crypto space. Only last week I got an offer with an amazing crypto company who beat my salary expectation too (30% increase) and a better TC, 3 back to back interviews with UK & US team members (shout out the New Jersey office lol) in the space of 2 weeks. Took 3/4 months but excited for the new opportunity. Fingers crossed company C/D gets back to you with great news. Tips from me as well. At the end of the calls be curious and ask them 2 questions - 1.if there’s a book you’ve read/are reading, what did you love/learn from it - what did it mean to you? 2 if there’s a podcast you love/like listening to what is it and why do you like it so much? ^ been doing this since my internship days just feels good to be different! But fingers crossed Angie!!
sadly its not your fault there are no jobs there's a job crisis and the numbers of jobs are inflated by the gov most jobs are on the market are ghost jobs ie they don't really exists only for companies to report to the gov to get tax breaks and either they might have an opening but not really usually its incase someone quits but hasn't which they wont in this job market sadly
Do you ask your interviewer to record before the interview process begins? I didn’t know you could do this. I’d like to remember the questions they ask me more often
My mentors have told recommended me to record for evaluation/ self reflection! I only record myself tho, and don’t disclose anything like company/ interviewers name anywhere.
If you comfortable to disclose may I ask What is your qualification mam? What qualifications or skills (certificate) we need to land in investment banking /private equity.?
Gets 4 interviews last week. Fails 4/4. If I had only 1 or 2 I probably would've been more focused on one I would've definitely passed w/ more time. Okay, let's keep going.

Hi@angies_list, much appreciate your time and insights. Would you be able to create a video on the application process you follow, as in apply via LinkedIn or referral or any tips on how to get the resume not rejected by ATS. Your insights would be tremendous. Thank you for all that you do🙏🙏🙏
