Voldemort, Snape and Harry were equivalents of the Three Brothers in that tale in the previous film. Voldemort was the eldest brother, who died as a result of seeking power. Snape was the middle brother, who died as a result of unfulfilled love. Harry was the youngest brother, who accepted death when the right time came. And Dumbledore was Death, who led the first two brothers towards their ends, and whom the third brother "greeted as an old friend."
Sorry, but Dumbledore was never "Death," nor did he ever succeed at becoming a Master of Death. Like Grindelwald, he was fascinated with all three Hallows, but having lost loved ones sooner than expected (both parents and his younger sister), Albus desired the Resurrection Stone most of all. That particular Hallow also happened to be found on a Horcrux ring, which Dumbledore managed to destroy with Gryffindor's Sword, but not before being tempted to put the ring on, which gave him a terminal curse in his hand that would have finished him off had Snape not bought him more time (23:36 - "Maybe a year"). Snape, meanwhile, may have lost a girl in his lifetime just like the second brother, and in the end may have given his life out of love (at the hands of the same wizard who killed her, no less), but he never knew the purpose of the Resurrection Stone, much less would have benefited from it. The people whom Harry brings back had all died fighting for something, and gave him the encouragement to greet death as a friend, which is what a true "Master of Death" does. Furthermore, what Lily Potter had done for her son Harry, he passed on to everyone he ever cared for - protection against Voldemort.
@@JMaxfield09 Actually, Dumbledore did have all three Hallows. Remember, he won the Elder Wand from Grindelwald, James Potter gave him the Cloak of Invisibility, and he got the Resurrection Stone when he was looking for Horcruxes, putting it in the Snitch. Maybe he didn’t have all of them at once, but he did have all three of them.
@@chrisking6667 for real; what sads me the most is what is left behind from the past of no only Snape, but also James, Sirius, Lupin and Peter. The story of the friendship of those 4 is simply amazing. In the film they never say that Sirius, James and Peter literally become animagus to help Lupin and his werewolf curse (werewolves are not hostile towards animals unless provoked so they all roamed together during full moons). This makes Peter's betrayal soooooo much worse. I think that Sirius is maybe the character who has the most saddening story of all: not only one his best friend betrays him; he loses his best friend because of it. AND then he gets blamed for it. Damn.
@@chrisking6667 I loved the way the book did it. I just wish the book would of been more clear on the working and transferring of the elder wand. I kind of got lost there.
Draco didn't tell his mom to lie...she basically understood that if Draco is still alive, then she can get him out, and decided to lie for Harry as a "thank you"
It was more than just a thank you. Narcissa knew that the only way to keep Draco truly safe was for Voldermort to die, and the best chance of that happening was Harry Potter. In the dark forest surrounded by death eaters, Harry would have been taken out for good in no time. She lied to give Harry a chance to escape once Voldermort took him back to Hogwarts.
If you take careful note of Snape's brief "battle" with McGonagall, you might catch that he deflected the spells to hit the Carrows. Then, before he fled, he took both their wands. Subtlety was Snape's strong suit.
So just to clear things up, Dumbledore doesn’t care less than Snape. Dumbledore told Snape about Harry’s upcoming death and was trying to point out that Snape was getting angry about someone he professed to hate. Snapes Patronus was meant to convey that while he didn’t hate Harry, he was doing all of this because of his love for Lily. Which is the significance of his response “Always…”.
Yes, it was meant as a comment from Dumbledore to prove that Snape does care, not that Dumbledore doesn’t. I think Dumbledore wanted Snape to see this. Dumbledore has always loved Harry and could admit it, unlike Snape.
I think Dumbledore was definitely trying to distance himself from Harry at times tho because he knew he would need to die. Also you can tell Snape cares for Harry when says "you have been rasing him like a pig for the slaughter" I think while Dumbledore cared for Harry he knew what was to come.
@@xXSinForLifeXx Nope. Dumbledore saw the bloodlink between Harry and Voldemort in GoF and knew that Harry would have a chance to come back if he killed Voldemort. He just could not let Harry know that since it requires a selfless sacrifice.
Dumbledore prepared Harry. Harry could have ran away but he accepted that it need to be done. Harry’s sacrifice (like the one his mother did) is that protects everyone from Voldemort. That’s why Voldemort’s silencing charm over the crowd wouldn’t work well.
@@xXSinForLifeXxsnape didn’t like Harry. The “raising the pig for slaughter” was more of a wow I’ve been risking my life and time to keep this boy alive for lily and now your saying it was just so he could die willingly
24:19 What Dumbledore meant when he said that was that why would you care about him now after you've hated him all these years. The scene in the book went like this: “I have spied for you and lied for you, put myself in mortal danger for you. Everything was supposed to be to keep Lily Potter’s son safe. Now you tell me you have been raising him like a pig for slaughter -” But this is touching, Severus,” said Dumbledore seriously. “Have you grown to care for the boy, after all?” “For him?” shouted Snape. “Expecto Patronum!” From the tip of his wand burst the silver doe. She landed on the office floor, bounded once across the office, and soared out of the window. Dumbledore watched her fly away, and as her silvery glow faded he turned back to Snape, and his eyes were full of tears. “After all this time?” “Always,” said Snape.
@Marcus Snape did "hate" Harry at first.. But it was not hate for Harry as a person but because he was constant reminder that woman he loved chose another man.. And also that she died protecting that little brat.. :D
@@MarcusSjolander Well he did hate Harry. He saw him as a clone of James and Snape always was a dick to Harry troughout the series. He never showed any signs that he would've actually cared or liked him. In that scene too he just yells "For him?" and casts the patronus to show him that it was for Lily.
I think the books dropped a lot more hints at Snape's motivations so it was clear why a lot earlier. The fact that he was so overtly Death Eater material, but Dumbledore trusted him absolutely, more than pretty much anyone spoke volumes. Arguably the only way you could ever trust someone to be that loyal to you is if you know they could never, ever be on the other guy's side. The books made it clear Snape always loved Lily and we know Voldemort killed her, it isn't rocket science to understand why Snape is with Dumbledore.
For reference Snape and Harry did "fight" in Half Blood Prince and Snape deflected every spell then knocked Harry back without breaking a sweat. And when Snape and McGonical "fought" he chose not to strike her, and in fact knocked out the death eaters in the back. Like... Snape is pretty much the strongest sorcerer at Hogwarts after Dumbledoor dies... He just chooses not to fight every one he sees
Makes me wonder how crazy a real fight with Snape would have been. The closest we ever got was when he stood up to Lupin and Sirius but the circumstances never held any favor of seeing his real power
I mean it's a known fact that the only one who is capable of unsupported flight other than Voldemort is Snape, and also that Snape created several spells while he was a student, and we also know that even though it was portrayed as a one sided bullying in the movies, in the books it's clear that it was a back and forth between him and the Marauders. 1v4. And out of these 4 3 was strong enough to be main members of the OG Order of Phoenix. I think this showcases how strong Snape actually is.
It’s not over if you read the books. You can only fit in so much content into a 2 hour movie. The books have so much more detail and really expand the story and universe.
The bank scene, where Helena Bonham Carter plays Hermione pretending to be Bellatrix is just fantastic. Her voice, posture and whole demeanour just changes at the flick of a switch.
what's funny is that before they shot this scene emma showed helena how she would do it so this scene was actually helena bonham carter, pretending to be emma watson, pretending to be helena, pretending to be hermione, pretending to be bellatrix
That was great acting. Acting is so much more than delivering lines. Body language, facial expressions. Alan Rickman had some really great subtle expressions throughout the series.
3:21 Ollivander was able to identify the wands near the start of the movie because as he said in the first movie he can remember every single wand he ever sold.
Ahh, but recall that he says "This _WAS_ the wand of Draco Malfoy. I sense its allegiance has changed." Then says "The wand chooses the wizard, Mr. Potter. That much has always been clear to those of us who study Wandlore." So it's not so much as he remembers who bought the wand, but he can understand the wand itself. The wands motivations.
If you’re wondering how Harry survived at the Forbidden Forest by Voldemort, it’s actually explained and answered in the final book. In Limbo, Dumbledore says it has nothing to do with the Deathly Hallows or the Horcrux taking a bullet for him. It was the love protection Lilly gave him when she sacrificed herself to save her son. The protection was supposed to go away when Harry turned 17 and no longer live with his Aunt Petunia who shared her sister’s blood, but it didn’t. This is because Voldemort used Harry’s blood to come back in the Goblet of Fire. Dumbledore says; “His body keeps her sacrifice alive and while that enchantment survives, so do you.” So because Voldemort put Harry’s blood into his new body, the love protection lived on inside of himself. Therefore continuing Lilly’s protection for Harry, which is why he survived. Love is not only the most powerful emotion but also the most powerful magic in the universe to the point where not even Death can touch it.
Wow I always thought it was the Deathly Hallows or that the Elder Wand wouldn't kill him because it was secretly his. But this is an even better explanation! Thanks for posting it
It's really poetic that a mother's love protected Harry as a baby just as a mother's love protected Harry (as well as Harry's mercy). Because Narcissa Malfoy realized Draco was alive, she risked her life LYING TO VOLDEMORT by saying Harry was dead in the hope of saving her son.
I have a question about this. Voldemort couldn't touch Harry because of that protection up until he put Harry's blood in his body. I felt like that implied that her protection was also now in Voldemort so how was Harry able to kill him?
People who have not read the books always confuse that part...Dumbledore isn't saying that he does not care about Harry. He's simply asking Snape if he's grown to care about Harry. His response wasn't to say yes but rather to show his Patronus...which is a Doe, the same as Lily's was. The reason for that is because he loved her and always will. He's protected Harry out of devotion to Lily...not because he secretly cares about Harry. Remember, as an adult and an authority figure he bullied Lily's son for six years simply because his appearance reminded him of James. Snape certainly was complicated. He wasn't exactly a paragon of virtue but he wasn't evil either. He got in with the wrong crowd at school and was headed down a dark road but love redeemed him and helped him find a better path. He was a brave man to the last...but certainly had a boat load of character defects as well. Its his conflicted nature that makes him such a believable, and in the end a great character.
When they started making the films, JK Rowling had only finished, and published, four of the seven books. But she felt it was vital that Alan Rickman, who played Snape, knew who Snape really was. So she told him in complete confidence how the series would end. For six years, until the release of the final book, only Rowling and Rickman knew the secret of Snape.
Starting a film or TV series based on books before that series is complete generally leads to unintended changes from the author due to fan 'interference' or lack of motivation due to overwhelming success. We got lucky with the Potter series while they only split the last book into 2 movies out of greed and the previous information from past films wasn't destroyed in the process.
Dumbledore did care for Harry very much. He wasn't happy or apathetic about Harry having to die. He just didn't want to hear flak about it from Snape of all people. For six years Dumbledore had to tell Snape to stop being so mean to Harry, and he listened as Snape complained about Harry. So for Snape to act like Dumbledore was the cruel one, of course Dumbledore would be like "Really? Really Dude? Now you wanna pretend he's your baby bean?"
But even tho Snape was mean to Harry because he reminded him of James he did care for him because of Lily. It's a complicated thing but he was genuine in his shock of Dumbledores plan.
Dumbledore was really manipulative towards Snape. Snape sacrificed the whole last 16 years of his short life to the fight against Voldemort, had to be a double agent which was a massive risk for him and surely made him suffer through Voldemort's cruel punishments several times, all for the skake of keeping Lily's son alive. Only for Dumbledore to go "hey btw, all of that was bs, he's actually going to die, I just didn't bother to tell you". The way he treated Snape was absolutely cruel. But of course it wasn't out of maliciousness but for the greater good which is the whole point of Dumbledore's character. He also must've realized that Voldemort would eventually try and kill Snape believing him to be the owner of the Elderwand. So by asking Snape to kill him instead of letting Draco do it he basically led him to his death as well, just like he did Harry. And I'm sure Severus realized that too. But then it's not like Dumbledore ever cared much about Snape.
The moment you realized Snape's truth, just reminded me of the day my late wife left for her class, cursing Snape in the morning, only to return that evening after class, crying, emotional from learning the truth. I just wanted to thank you for your awesome reaction, and the emotions you brought back for me personally. Keep those reactions coming!
Dumbledore had more information he was withholding about the situation than Snape. He couldn't tell Snape in case Voldemort tested him. Dumbledore did know that Voldemort couldn't kill Harry but Harry did have to face death. Dumbledore knew things had to go the way things went, but he could manipulate certain things so that it didn't go the way Voldemort wanted and in the end Voldemort doomed himself.
I was 11 when this movie came out. My mother bought the DVD and she cried for several minutes during the Snape memories' scene. I watched it by myself when grown up. I understood her.
One of my favourite MacGonagall moments in the book was sadly cut. While she just animates the statues in the film, in the book she starts animates *everything*, beauty and the beast style. At one point I'm pretty sure she's seen leading a stampede of schooldesks down the hallways
I started crying right before you viewed Snape's memories, I knew what was coming. Fun fact, the Patronus that Harry saw in the 7th film, that lead him to the sword, belonged to Snape. He shared the same Patronus as Lily, out of his love for her.
these videos heal that part of me that’s experienced when you want your friend to watch a movie that you love but they go on their phone the whole time
It’s been a great journey watching with you! I’m glad you’ve had fun with them and resonated with them. They are a franchise of consistent quality, some being better of course but they’re all SO GOOD! Thanks for sharing your reactions and responses with us. 🎉❤
Snapes whole truth moment is still very sad, He loved lily so much and he did help Harry but in his way since he hated his father but still cared for his mother. Its so sad to see the lost of a character and the actor Rest in Peace Alan Rickman
Actually in the book, none of the slytherins were sent to dungeons (it's where their common room is) Every adult student were given a chance to stay and fight and the rest were evacuated from the castle.
Yeah, I never cared for that 'group guilt' thing they pulled on the Slytherin house, considering at the end when Harry mentions to his boy that being in Slytherin is fine.
@@terrylandess6072 it wasn’t group guilt lol. The slytherins were sent to their common room so they wouldn’t have to fight their own families. Not all slytherins had family that were death eaters, of course, but most of them were, unfortunately, related to one or more of them.
I love reading and rereading the books. There are SO MANY little hints and clues hidden throughout all the books, even in book 1 there are sentences that sound completely innocent that directly hints towards stuff happening as late as the end of the very last book in the series. There are so many little gems like that hidden that you will only pick up on if you have already seen the movies/read the books, which makes it super fascinating to read the books several times. I've read them 30+ times already since they came out, and I'm STILL picking up on new little easter eggs to this day.
25:00 - It's not that Dumbledore *doesn't* care about Harry, it's that Dumbledore is surprised that Snape, who doesn't seem to care for Harry, is repulsed by Harry's necessary death.
I’m sure someone mentioned this but… Narcissa Malfoy, when tasked to see if Harry was actually ‘dead,’ no longer cared if Voldemort won or not. It shows again that love is the strongest, especially for a mother. She loved Draco, but he was in the castle, and she was with the Death Eaters. So the only way she could get to her son was to pretend to be part of a ‘conquering army.’ That’s why she asked Harry if Draco was alive, and when being told he was, she lied about Harry still being alive.
I also loved a girl like Snape. We had a few classes together back in college. It's been almost 10 years...She, of course is married now, but still if she asks me my answer will be " ALWAYS!!!"
It’s less that Draco told her to lie, it’s just that the war no longer matters to her or Lucius, they just want their son. She knew Harry being dead would mean parading up to the castle, so as soon as she knew he was still alive, she ensured that would happen.
FUN FACT: Many people never understood why the snitch said “I open at the close.” Obviously its a riddle but its also linguistic poetry. “I open” meaning to reveal the secrets within, and at the close is the part thats poetry. People read it as “cloze” because the word “open” cleverly tricks your brain into thinking the opposite of open. (Which would be to close with a z pronunciation). But its actually meant to be read as “close” with an s. “I open at the moment youre close to death.” I assume acknowledging that moment “Im ready to die” spoken by Harry was was unlocked the enchantment. A cool enchantment made by Dumbledore to prepare Harry for a moment set in prophecy. Edit: Feel free to ask me questions about the story if you have any.
At 22:40 what many people fail to overlook when Dumbledore asks Snape that question that’s not to say that Dumbledore never cared for Harry in fact, Dumbledore cared for Harry a great deal, but that question that Dumbledore asked Snape was a direct reference to Snape and his past history regarding Harry plus on top of all that, while Dumbledore did care about Harry a great deal I believe he also had the understanding of doing what had to be done, regardless of how others perceived it.
For those of you that have watched the Harry Potter movies more than once. You can notice moments were Snape was helping Harry, and was the good guy. The part where he and McGonagall fight. He doesn’t do any spells to try and hurt her. He deflects her spells at him, and also uses two of her attacks to hit two death eaters. Also, I don’t think you noticed, but the deer Petronius, that lead Harry to the lake, where the sword was, was Snape’s Petronius. He sent it to help Harry find the sword.
Man i grew up with this movie. Harry Potter franchise will remain in my heart for rest of my life. Your lovely reaction refreshed nostalgia from my teen years. ❤️
Vkunia... your by far my favorite movie/tv reactioner content creator by far I always look forward too your videos and watching your journey through the Harry Potter Series My favorite franchise of all time by the way I litterally grew up watching these movies from a young kid too young adult and watching you react to these movies for the first time remind me the Magic and Wonder these movies brought me as a young child i'm glad you finally got too enjoy these and even wanting too rewatch them all after learning about Snape you see how much he really went through so thanks for these and future stuff you do i'll be watching your videos as long as your posting them.
One thing I desperately wish they had put into the movie was Harry’s speech to Voldemort before they duel. The way he explains that Voldemort literally made the same mistake he made by killing Lilly, and that Harry has protected everyone by dying to protect them is amazing. The fact that he fixes his own wand with the elder wand should have been included too. Still one of the best HP movies
Kunia dear, it's very easy to misunderstand the whole Dumbledore-Snape-Harry situation from the movies alone. The fact of the matter is that with all due respect, Snape hated Harry's guts all along, he bullied him every bit as much as he himself was bullied by James. And yet he lived and died protecting him because all he wanted is to make sure Lily, his great love didn't die in vain. Harry dropped the Resurrection Stone because he didn't need it anymore. He only used it to make his own sacrifice easier. He didn't "bring back" his loved ones, they came to fetch him. As for Dumbledore, he was several steps ahead of everyone else. He made sure that Voldemort can never kill Harry, in more than one way. He intended to be killed by Snape while still having the Elder Wand. Since his death was agreed between them, the wand's power would have died with him, because it was never taken from him against his will. That bit didn't work out because Draco disarmed Dumbledore. And then when he found out at the and of Goblet of Fire that Voldemort took Harry's blood, he knew that he had won the war. Voldemort took inside his body a tiny part of Lily's protection and kept it alive. Meaning, that he became the only person in the universe who couldn't possibly kill Harry. Wen he cast the killing curse, he only managed to kill that part of his soul But he had to keep this a secret, Harry had to go to the forest intending to die, knowing that he will die and not defending himself. By doing so, by sacrificing himself to save everyone else at Hogwarts, he did for them what Lily did for him: they were all protected from Voldemort from that moment on.
I mean, I know it was nice hearing McGonnagal say “the dungeons will do,” but remember that the dungeons are where the Slytherin common room is. She basically just sent them to their rooms.
Except in a deleted scene, we see it's an actual dungeon. Which makes me lose a lot of respect for McGonagall (in the movie version, at least), because she basically just trapped hundreds of children in a castle under attack so they can't escape to safety...because ONE of them was on the wrong side.
I grew up with this series and when I left the cinema after watching this, I felt a little light headed and felt like a huge important chapter of my life just ended.
In the book, a more elegant solution to the elder wand. Harry used the elder wand to repair his broken one and the Elder wand was returned to Dumbledores grave . Since Harry was now the master of the wand, that bond would break the spell of the wand if he lived out a normal lifetime. So, read the books.
Honestly I always liked the idea of Neville and Luna. both kind of outsiders with rough family lives. Wish it had been canon but they each wind up with other people
It’s been such a fun journey watching your reactions. It definitely reminds a lot of us of the first time we ever watched the movies. Thank you so much for doing these. As with most movies that are based on novels, I highly recommend reading the Harry Potter books. The movies are amazing but the books definitely have some more context and explanations and other things that were left out in the movies. I think you’d love them
Severus didn't actually kill Dumbledore. It was the fall that killed Dumbledore. One of the things that the fake Moody told the students when he taught them about the Unforgivable Curses was that, in order for them to truly work, you really have to mean them with your whole heart. Snape didn't mean it with his whole heart, but it needed to be done for the little performance that they were putting on for the death eaters who were there. And, hey, from their perspective, Snape cast the spell and Dumbledore died. Therefore, Snape was the one who killed Dumbledore. No need to think about the fact that the body-bind curse on Harry didn't break until Dumbledore had time to fall and hit the ground, rather than giving way as soon as the spell was cast. Snape really is one of the most tragic characters in the series, and I love that Alan Rickman got to do him justice. As for Hedwig, yes. She was killed _right_ up front during the escape from Privet Drive. That death, and about 90% of the deaths in this book/these two movies honestly do so much more to piss me off than to make me legitimately sad. The deaths just feel... rushed. Half-assed. Both Remus and Tonks? Hate that. Fred? Nope. I don't mind the goblins dying so much, because they were very happy to screw over the main characters, even knowing that their goal was to stop Voldemort. Still, so much of it feels like Rowling just kind of... wanted to go out with a body count, because that's what she decided, not because it felt right. I've got a lot of issues with how Rowling handled the story, and how she's behaving now. I think the fame has gone to her head, and it isn't doing well by her. On top of that, I highly recommend watching The Super Carlin Brothers' "What if Harry had been in Slytherin" series, because it shows how differently the story could have gone with a bit more creativity on the author's part. But no, she had "Gryffindor are the good guys, Slytherins are the bad guys, and Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff are just... kind of there," and that's it. It's also one of the things that I really enjoy about the Hogwarts Legacy game (which you should 100% play), because the cast of characters that you interact with are significantly more diverse, with major characters from all of the houses, representing an infinitely more diverse cast than Rowling gave us. I think it has really done them well that Rowling really... just wasn't involved in the game's creation, leaving the creative team with a significantly greater degree of freedom to make a more rounded narrative. I'm not just bashing Rowling because it is "fashionable" to bash her, I was uncomfortable with creative decisions that had been made in the stories even as I was reading them growing up. It probably didn't help matters that I had authors like Neil Gaiman showing me so much more of what was possible in storytelling, who have in turn been significant influences for my own writing since. Heck, in his Masterclass, Gaiman talks about how when he is writing stories, one of his biggest priorities is to listen to the characters and let them help guide how they act and what they do. I've realized that I've taken that kind of approach to characters for a long time now. Rowling feels like an author who came up with "her" grand plan, and didn't allow herself the flexibility to let the characters help to guide her. She's a planner, rather than an organic writer. Heck, I believe she's even said that she had the whole series planned out from the start, which doesn't surprise me, given how it all went. In any event, I do apologize for the essay XD I will say that I've loved watching your reactions, and I'm glad that you've enjoyed the movies so much. I hope you take me up on some of my suggestions, but whatever else, keep having fun, and never let anyone tell you what you should or shouldn't enjoy. None of what I've said is intended to detract from your enjoyment, just to express why I... could have enjoyed the stories more on a personal level XD
Shout out to Neville for having one of the biggest characters arch’s in film, from a shy joke to a heroic BAD-ASS. Like when I saw the movie in theaters and Neville decapitates Nagini, the theater cheered as loudly as when Captain America grabbed Mjölnir and beat up Thanos lol
You mean the misinterpretation that Snape is a good guy? He's not. he's literally a traitor to his own people, his own alma mater, his own tribe. And why? Because he didn't get the love he wanted. he's the sociopathic stalker who literally joins a "kill the world" cult because his object of obsession chose another. Then when his cult killed the object of his obsession (shocker, killing the world meant killing his love! lohsers are lohsers, oh well) he betrayed his cult and wanted to go back to the normal side of the aisle. Despite all that, he was so bitter about losing his object of obsession that he literally bullied an orphan child for numerous years because he's the unreared child of the man who stole his obsession. ya sure, he's the good guy but and james potter is supposed to be a bad guy (because he put a socipathic teen in his place). people have become unbelievably simple minded.
@@TJMiton He was redeemed for abandoning DE's and working against them and eventually playing a major role in bringing them down, with no personal gain. Not for loving Lily.
If you rewatch the scene where McGonagall duels Snape in the Great Hall, you can see that snape deflects her attacks into the Death Eaters standing behind him. He also grabs both their wands before escaping out the window.
You've been my favourite reactor to go through this series with, Vicky. I can tell you, this movie hurt the first time I saw it, also. I was crying in my 3-D glasses!
So glad you loved these movies. I love this franchise/fictional universe and it hurts me to see people getting bullied simply for liking it and/or playing the new game
i've tried the game and the controls were difficult. not to mention the lock picking was annoying. once was ok but after doing a gazillion of them it gets tedious.
It was an incredible journey, for sure. Though if you ever get the time, this is a series I highly recommend reading. Love the channel. I can't wait to see what's next.
If you want more of harry potter you should defo read the books! If you dont like reading, you can also listen to the audiobooks, which are AWESOME. I personally reccomend stephen fry, who nails the voices :D
I LOVED your series so much. I watched all the way through and couldn't wait for your reaction to each proceeding movie. I loved watching your journey through my favourite saga ever
An amazing thing to consider is that Voldemort is arguably NOT the most evil character Ralph Fiennes has played - he was also Amon Goeth in Schindler's List. 😧
Narcissa's only concern was for her son, Draco, and she knew that the only way to get into the castle to get her son was to lie and say that Harry was dead. Also, the thing with the Elder wand is that it was always a myth that to be the master of the wand you had to kill the previous owner, but instead all that need be done was to win it from the previous owner for the wand to change its allegiance.
I'm not sure if it were a myth, or just people not understanding wand lore. I can't recall it being mentioned in the movies, but in the books they mention the fact that Grindelwald stole it from Gregorovitch, without Gregorovitch having been killed. But they did make sure that they showed how Malfoy's wand had shifted allegiance, as a way of setting the precedence for winning the wand over, and also setting up the elder wand and Harry.
This was an amazing reaction! As much as I love the movies, the books are so much better in my opinion. There's so much depth and you really FEEL like you're in the universe. Also the movies do my favorite character (Ron) so dirty, he's an AMAZING character in the books. If you aren't a big reader, then you should check out the Stephen Fry audiobooks, they're a great time!
One change that always bothered about the last movie was Harry just snapping the Elder wand in half. The book he uses it to mend his original wand back together.
The only thing from the deathly hallow book i wish was in part 2 was that harry did partially use the elder wand before he destroyed it but he only used its power to repair his old wand.
I was surprised and very disappointed that they didn’t include that! It was such an important moment and would only have taken a couple of extra seconds of film to show. Still, I guess the books did a lot more to show just how deeply witches and wizards are linked to their wands, so in the film the felt it was superfluous.
Loved your reactions to the series! Just wanted to point out one thing, Draco is really not that bad... he had been manipulated and forced to do a lot of things he wasn't comfortable doing... He had little choice. He even tried to help Harry in the battle by throwing him a wand, and pretended to not recognize Harry when asked by Bellatrix, amongst other things (these are not included in the movies for some reason)...
31:57 Yes, Hedwig flew between Harry and an Avada Kedavra (unforgivable killing curse) to save him while they were flying as the Seven Potters, catching a bullet so to speak. Hedwig is definitely dead. That loyalty of the owl is what also gave away to the Death Eaters who the real Harry among the seven is. I figured you'd enjoy finding out Snape was a double agent that whole time, spying for Dumbledore among the rows of Voldemort. And that they planned for Snape to do the deed. Hence the binding promise was no problem for Snape - to protect Draco Malfoy and kill Dumbledore in case Draco can't just like Dumbledore and him planned in advance. They found a way to give Draco an exit. Voldemort never was fully aware of the deathly Hollows or how they work so he didn't understand the rules as to the allegiance of the Elder Wand. All he knew is that it was a powerful wand and he misunderstood the concept by thinking it only changes loyalty when someone kills the previous owner. He didn't know that disarming is enough and that the allegiance was swapped from Dumbledore via Malfoy to Harry by disarming (Malfoy disarmed Dumbledore and Harry disarmed Voldemort merely holding the Elder Wand bound to Malfoy [notice how Snape fed Voldemort the false info that it will obey him?] still so the allegiance jumped from Malfoy onto Harry). Snape really is the MVP besides Dumbledore in all this. And he did all cuz he loved Lilly Potter so much and genuinely cared for Harry. He just didn't show it until the very end because he hated his Dad for being a bully. But in his dying moments he wanted Harry to know by seeing his memories. As we learned, killing a person destroys your soul part by part. Horcruxes are the only way to preserve that part of your soul - otherwise, it's just gone and you become less and less human. If you review the entire thing, you see that Harry used Expelliarmus as his signature spell that entire time - to keep his soul intact. That's how he won ultimately. An intact soul is much more guaranteed to master wizardry. It was the important life lesson for Harry that Dumbledore ingrained in him from the get-go. Never kill. :) And exactly like you said, at that moment Harry defeated Voldemort (he disarmed him, Voldemort died because he had no soul pieces / Horcruxes left) had all the three Deathly Hollows in his possession and was Master of Death for a brief instance. He did decide that nobody should be that powerful for that power might tempt you to go to the dark side. Hence he breaks the Elder Wand. Dumbledore and Grindelwald were obsessed with the Deathly Hollows (whereas Dumbledore had pure intentions and wanted to have the Hallwos serve the greater good while Grindelwald was more of obsessed with being powerful). So in some way, Harry resisted a temptation even Dumbledore couldn't.
The movie left out a lot on Snape and Lily's relationship. Snape loved Lily, but she never returned his feelings, and they drifted apart over the years as Snape got more involved with the Dark Arts. He willingly joined Voldemort because he believed in Voldemort's cause of pure blood superiority, and he thought Lily would be impressed with him becoming a Death Eater. He chose the Dark Arts over her, which was what ultimately destroyed their friendship. He continued to love her though and only switched sides to protect Harry since that also meant protecting Lily. He actually hated Harry because he reminded him that he lost her to James and he blamed Harry for his mother's death because she sacrificed herself to save him, but he remained on Dumbledore's side to honor her memory of what she died for.
@@jbreezy101 True, and while that was an outburst of anger, it does show his real opinion of muggleborns, Lily was just the exception in his eyes because he loved her, which makes him a hypocrite. And while he does reprimand one of Dumbledore's portraits for saying that word later, that's only out of respect for Lily, not because his opinion towards them changed. He also confessed that he was willing to sacrifice Harry and James to keep Lily alive, and CC reveals that he never even wanted to stop Voldemort, just keep Lily safe since he said that he spent most of his life fighting for Lily's cause that he "might have" started to believe in it, which shows where his opinions really stand. People keep seeming to forget all this and just focus on the fact that he loved Lily and nothing else.
Unfortunately, the movie gives you only 50% of Snapes story. A lot more happens during their time at Hogwarts that you don't see in the movie. Snape falls in with the Death Eater crowd and that upsets Lily because they think Muggleborns are trash. Then later, Snape calls her a Mudblood in front of his friends.
In the books...Harry uses the Elder Wand to repair his Original broken wand and then returns the Elder Wand to Dumbledore's grave....Harry' original wand was very powerful with a perfect wielder like Harry himself...made of Holly (type of wood) and Phoenix feather as the core...Holly is one of the rarer kind of Wand Woods which is traditionally considered protective, it worked most happily for those who might need help overcoming a tendency to anger and impetuosity. At the same time, Holly wands often chose owners who were engaged in some dangerous and often spiritual quest... Holly was one of those woods that varied most dramatically in performance depending on the wand core, and it was a notoriously difficult wood to team with phoenix feather, as the wood's volatility conflicted strangely with the phoenix's detachment. In the unusual event of such a pairing finding its ideal match, however, nothing and nobody should stand in their way.
2 things about snape. 1. When McGonagall was attacking him in the great hall he only used defensive spells, and when he fled he picked up the other death eaters' wands. 2. Patronuses can change if you have an extreme shift in emotional feelings. In this case it changed because of Snape's strong love for Lily. Lily's changed to James' patronus and Snape's changed to her's.
@@sirunclejim7217 you are incorrect. Lily's patronus never changed. Patronuses are based on your happiest memory. Despite being with James the fact that Lily still had the doe till death means that her and Snape were meant to be. The happy memory that caused the doe patronus is that time when they were lying under the tree
@@jiten8649 I could be wrong but a person's patronus isn't based on their memories, it is however fueled by them. The manifestation of someone's patronus is based on their personality.
Just wanted to explain why they used 19 years at the end of the movie with everyone growing up and having kids. It is the number of completion. 19 has a significance to this storyline. Number 20 would mean duality which doesn't really explain thing's to the full of this story. I have been learning and comprehending astrology and numerology for some time and usually this is what you experience by the psychics, mediums and more. There is always a reason why they pick specifics, every character, every number has meaning. This is why looking up information is always given to those who want to learn about it and learn from it. 😉💕
Vicky, I have been with you the entire journey of Harry Potter and I am so happy that you did this! Your reactions are both priceless and adorable! Thank you for this magical journey, and I will remember this always! ❤❤😊
It's finally here!!!! Glad you enjoyed this series. Also, Neville and Snapre are the MVPs! And yes, Hedwig did die 😭😭😭 Btw at around 12:05, Snape actually collected their wands before escaping... 20:16 this was such a good way to give us references from the previous movies...
11:55 one of my favourite things about this series that everyone glosses over is it rewards you for paying attention. im sure other people have mentioned this but i LOVE how snape redirects mcgonagall's spells to the death eaters behind him.
A lot of people get confused by the scene after Harry "dies". Nacrissa (Malfoy's mom) was asking Harry if Draco was alive, and since Harry saved him in the Room of Requirement he was able to truthfully tell her that he was safe. She could tell he was alive due to his heartbeat, but she no longer wanted anything besides being with her son. So she lied to Voldemort, someone who can typically tell if someone is lying, all so she could get to Hogwarts and escape with her son. Also, the way Harry survives is due to Voldemort using Harry's blood in his revival in the 4th chapter. This essentially makes Voldemort a horcrux for Harry, so no matter how many times Voldemort used the killing curse on him it would have no effect. Similarly, when Harry sacrificed himself in the forest he cast the same protection over the entire school that his mom cast over him. There's a whole scene in the books where Harry explains this to him and is basically taunting him.
Both Albus Dumbledore and Severus Snape had dark pasts that they needed to redeem themselves from... Albus Dumbledore was obsessed w/ the Deathly Hallows as a young man w/ his partner, the dark wizard Grindelwald... they sought the Deathly Hallows together and Grindelwald stole the Elder wand. After his sister Ariana died, Albus turned on Grindelwald and won the Elder wand in a duel... his brother Abeforth never forgave Albus for the death of their sister Ariana... so, Albus Dumbledore abandoned his quest to become the 'Master of death' and became a teacher at Hogwarts to repent for his misdeeds, and eventually became the Headmaster of the school. Severus Snape came from a difficult family situation (the Half-blood Prince, his mother being a witch... his father a muggle)... He knew Lily was a witch and became friends w/ her as a boy, and eventually fell in love w/ her... The 2 friends enrolled at Hogwarts together, but Snape joined Slytherin House, while Lily was picked for Gryffindor... Lily's muggle sister (Harry's Aunt) Petunia knew Snape and was terrified of him. James Potter was the jock of Gryffindor and he bullied Snape a lot at Hogwarts... James also had a huge crush on Lily, who wouldn't give him the time of day... Snape would also be hexing James during the school year. Unfortunately, Snape also fell in w/ Voldemort's supporters in Slytherin House and became obsessed w/ the dark magic arts... Lily tried to convince Snape to not run w/ that crowd, but he refused. During one particularly brutal bullying incident where Lily tried to defend Snape against James, Snape lashed out and called her a 'mudblood'... and she was furious. Later that night, Snape begged Lily to forgive him, but Lily was upset and told him they couldn't be friends anymore. James and Lily started dating in their last year at Hogwarts... They married soon after they had graduated. Snape went off to join the death eaters... At Hogwarts, Prof. Trelawny made a prophecy that the 'dark lord' Voldemort's power would be challenged by a boy... Snape heard part of it and reported to Voldemort... Eventually, Voldemort deduced that it was referring to James and Lily Potter's newborn son Harry, and sought to kill them. Snape was aghast and begged Voldemort to spare Lily's life, but he refused (Voldemort thought that Snape simply 'desired' her)... Realizing he still loved Lily, Snape was desperate to save her and went to Albus Dumbledore and begged him to hide the Potter family ...In exchange, he became a double agent for the Order of the Phoenix. Of course, we now know that Peter Pettigrew (Wormtail) betrayed the Potters to Voldemort and James was killed first... Lily used old magic to protect Harry and sacrificed herself, which gave her son the ultimate protection and rebounded Voldemort's death curse, vanquishing the dark wizard while leaving only a lightning scar on Harry's forehead. Snape was devastated after Lily's death, and Dumbledore convinced Snape to help him protect Harry Potter... Snape agreed only if his past was kept secret. Dumbledore kept Snape out of Azkaban and employed him as a potions master at Hogwarts. Snape was still upset at his former bully James Potter and Harry's resemblance to his father made it difficult to be objective... Snape was hard on Harry because he felt that James had failed to protect Lily and didn't want Harry to suffer the same fate... Snape passed on his notes in the potions book and Harry did not realize that he was learning from Snape, the Half-blood Prince. Meanwhile, Dumbledore had the Elder wand and handed the Cloak of invisibility to Harry, which belonged to James Potter... When Voldemort returned, it was Dumbledore who ordered Snape to resume his role as a double agent in the death eaters... While searching in Tom Riddle's past, Dumbledore found the ring of Tom Riddle (the 2nd Horcrux) and it had the 3rd Deathly Hallow - the Resurrection Stone on it. Desperate to speak to his late sister Ariana to apologize for his misdeeds, Dumbledore put on the ring, but it was cursed... Only Snape's intervention had saved his life... However, Snape gave Dumbledore a grave diagnosis - the curse was contained but would spread over a year and kill him painfully. Realizing that he would not live much longer, Dumbledore gave Snape the order to kill him if Draco failed to do it... Dumbledore destroyed the ring, and took out the Resurrection stone and placed it in the golden snitch, which he passed on to Harry Potter after his death... He gave Snape instructions to pass on to Harry before he died, revealing that Harry was a Horcrux and needed to die if Voldemort was to be vanquished permanently. Snape was shocked, but agreed to carry out Dumbledore's plan... He used his doe patronus charm (the same as Lily's) to pass on the Sword of Gryffindor to Harry Potter... The night Harry was to be moved by the Order, it was Snape's idea to have multiple Harry Potters travel separately to confuse the death eaters... and Snape did this by implanting Mundungus Fletcher w/ the idea, who suggested it to Moody. One of the scenes in the book was Snape crying after reading an old letter that Lily had written to him. He wanted revenge on Voldemort for the death of Lily... that was a huge part of why he was willing to execute Dumbledore's plans, knowing it was the only way Voldemort could be killed.
I've never watched anyone's reactions to Harry Potter, except for yours. Was so excited every time I saw that you had uploaded the next reaction. I saw every movie on opening night in the theater. It's my favorite franchise of all time. I'm not a big reader but I read the books when they came out. The movies are incredible, but the books delve into everything SO. MUCH. MORE. It's not as confusing as the movies can make things out to be. The books go into so much detail. So hopefully you'll want to read the books and REALLY fall in love with these characters. And yes, Hedwig died there. Out of all the deaths in the entire series, Hedwig's was my hardest for me (I remember throwing the book when I read it.) So thank you for reacting to these movies! I'm so glad you're now a fan of the Wizarding World (which is so much bigger than they even show in the HP films)!
when snape and mcgonagall square off, snape deflects the spells to the death eaters behind him to knock them out and also picks up their wands before flying out of the window. You never notice it the first time.
Snape’s reveal is still one of the best things ever like I can’t believe this man was good the whole time ! & Dumbledoor and him had it planned ugh 😭so good and sad love this series Order of the Phoniex is still my favorite
Dumbledore did care for Harry he just knew what needed to happen to kill Voldemort. He also probably knew he'd survive due to the blood protection. Harry's blood was used to resurrect Voldemort so he couldn't actually kill harry, only the part of his own soul.
Snape's patronus was the same as Lily's because he loved her so much, that it became the same as hers, and he was the only death eater that could produce it.
If you notice when Mcgonnagal is fighting Snape he purposely doesn’t attack her but instead redirects her attacks at the Carrow twins standing behind him, helping her out while maintaining his cover, then he leaves so he doesn’t have to fight her because he’s still playing double agent
Enjoyed your reaction to this series! I feel like hedwig’s death always gets overlooked. The snape reveal is amazing. Alan Rickman’s performance is my favorite in this series. Since you enjoyed this series you should give hogwarts legacy a play. It really immerses you in this world.
I hope you read the books, Vicky! They’ll give you a much deeper insight into the story and the world - especially with regards to the final story. It’s a bit ironic that the Deathly Hallows themselves get pretty short shrift in the movies that are named after them! I can understand why, of course - there was already so much going on and that the movie had to focus on something, and the horcruxes were more immediately relevant to the plot. Never have more than one MacGuffin in your movie! The Hallows were more thematic in nature, but they added a lot of layers to what went on, and really informed Dumbledore’s character arc in particular. Can we have reaction videos after you’ve finished reading each book?!
It's finally over... I DONT WANT IT TO BE OVER.😭Thank you for joining me on this Harry Potter journey and recommending me it.

In the book Harry repairs his old wand and then returns elder wand to Dumbledores grave. 😭😭
You can always watch Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them and it’s sequels.
I like that interpretation, very good!
@@seregrian5675 I saw JKR confirmed the theory somewhere since she liked it so much
Sorry, but Dumbledore was never "Death," nor did he ever succeed at becoming a Master of Death.
@@acdcguy18 What she actually said was that she wished she had thought of that. It was never intended it that way.
The backstory they gave Snape in the pensive is one of the best sequences in the franchise.
Undoubtably the most emotion scene in the whole franchise
Franchise? Or all literary and cinematic history?
The book does it even more justice. So much is missed in the films.

Subtlety was Snape's strong suit.
also he purposely doesnt fight back and chooses to retreat.

Snape shielded Harry, Ron and Hermonie against Lupin werewolf where as Umbridge put them in front of her against the Centuars.
The scene in the book went like this:
“I have spied for you and lied for you, put myself in mortal danger for you. Everything was supposed to be to keep Lily Potter’s son safe. Now you tell me you have been raising him like a pig for slaughter -”
But this is touching, Severus,” said Dumbledore seriously. “Have you grown to care for the boy, after all?”
“For him?” shouted Snape. “Expecto Patronum!”
From the tip of his wand burst the silver doe. She landed on the office floor, bounded once across the office, and soared out of the window. Dumbledore watched her fly away, and as her silvery glow faded he turned back to Snape, and his eyes were full of tears.
“After all this time?”
“Always,” said Snape.
thanks lol.
I remember when I first read this. I had to put the book down. I couldn't see to read, my eyes were so full of tears.

The bank scene, where Helena Bonham Carter plays Hermione pretending to be Bellatrix is just fantastic.

I completely forget that it’s helena, in my mind it’s really just Emma disguised
what's funny is that before they shot this scene emma showed helena how she would do it so this scene was actually helena bonham carter, pretending to be emma watson, pretending to be helena, pretending to be hermione, pretending to be bellatrix
He was also able to recognise Gregorovitch's work as well, in The Goblet of Fire. Which makes sense, him being a rival wandmaker.
Ahh, but recall that he says "This _WAS_ the wand of Draco Malfoy. I sense its allegiance has changed." Then says "The wand chooses the wizard, Mr. Potter. That much has always been clear to those of us who study Wandlore."

@@WhiteWolfDarkpaw yeah because draco disarmed dumbledore so the elder belonged to him at the time hence 'was'
If you’re wondering how Harry survived at the Forbidden Forest by Voldemort, it’s actually explained and answered in the final book.
I believe that Death can touch it, just not in that way.
I have a question about this. Voldemort couldn't touch Harry because of that protection up until he put Harry's blood in his body. I felt like that implied that her protection was also now in Voldemort so how was Harry able to kill him?
Snape loved Lily but it wasn’t a healthy love. His sacrifice doesn’t absolve him of the crappy way he lived his life.
FWIW, Rickman was actually going to quit the series before she told him the backstory.
That hug scene between Drako and Voledemort was awkward because it wasn’t scripted. It was Ralph Fiennes improve.
It's not over, you get to read all of the books and then re-watch all of the movies with a new appreciation!
The HP world only gets better.
"We didn't even get a redemption story for Snape"
Me: *Laughs in foreknowledge*
Dumbledore did care for Harry very much. He wasn't happy or apathetic about Harry having to die. He just didn't want to hear flak about it from Snape of all people. For six years Dumbledore had to tell Snape to stop being so mean to Harry, and he listened as Snape complained about Harry. So for Snape to act like Dumbledore was the cruel one, of course Dumbledore would be like "Really? Really Dude? Now you wanna pretend he's your baby bean?"
Nicely explained 👍
But even tho Snape was mean to Harry because he reminded him of James he did care for him because of Lily. It's a complicated thing but he was genuine in his shock of Dumbledores plan.
@@xXSinForLifeXx if Snape goes to the same afterlife as Lily I hope she rips him a new one for being a piece of shit to her son
@@lucas.2.3.9.4 cool story
Sorry about your wife. May she rest in paradise with God.
Alan's performance in this franchise ended up breaking my heart...
So much love going out to Snape
One of my favourite MacGonagall moments in the book was sadly cut. While she just animates the statues in the film, in the book she starts animates *everything*, beauty and the beast style.
At one point I'm pretty sure she's seen leading a stampede of schooldesks down the hallways
I started crying right before you viewed Snape's memories, I knew what was coming. Fun fact, the Patronus that Harry saw in the 7th film, that lead him to the sword, belonged to Snape. He shared the same Patronus as Lily, out of his love for her.
And at the beginning of the movie, the goblin mentions that the fake sword in Bellatrix’s Gringotts vault was put there by a Hogwarts teacher 😉
@@caleidoscopecara yes, that part too!
Fun fact? They literally show that the patronus is Snape’s in the movie
@@croissantpower And a lot of people don't put two and two together and overlook it. It's easy to miss even the simplest of things in these films
The “wait, i just remembered Hedwig” part got me 😂 thank you for the HP reactions, it was fun! 🖤

It’s been a great journey watching with you! I’m glad you’ve had fun with them and resonated with them. They are a franchise of consistent quality, some being better of course but they’re all SO GOOD! Thanks for sharing your reactions and responses with us. 🎉❤
Noone could have said it better.
Yes, completly agree.
It was such a pleasure to watch it.
It's been so awesome watching you experience these movies. It's almost like going back and watching them for the first time myself.
I love how much you care for animals and love them, it's refreshing and endearing, it's rare now a days, or least where I'm at i love animals
25:00 - It's not that Dumbledore *doesn't* care about Harry, it's that Dumbledore is surprised that Snape, who doesn't seem to care for Harry, is repulsed by Harry's necessary death.
I’m sure someone mentioned this but…
Narcissa Malfoy, when tasked to see if Harry was actually ‘dead,’ no longer cared if Voldemort won or not.
It shows again that love is the strongest, especially for a mother.
She loved Draco, but he was in the castle, and she was with the Death Eaters. So the only way she could get to her son was to pretend to be part of a ‘conquering army.’
That’s why she asked Harry if Draco was alive, and when being told he was, she lied about Harry still being alive.
"After all this time?"
"Always."
RIP Alan Rickman. Always.
In the book Snape called Lilly a Mudblood and that ended their friendship.
I also loved a girl like Snape. We had a few classes together back in college. It's been almost 10 years...She, of course is married now, but still if she asks me my answer will be " ALWAYS!!!"
Same, you just can't forget the one...
@@troublesometoaster4492 you God damn right we can't...
lol simp

At 12:05 snape actually deflected those shots and directed to the people standing behind him to take them out if you didn’t noticed it .
Wen he cast the killing curse, he only managed to kill that part of his soul
But he had to keep this a secret, Harry had to go to the forest intending to die, knowing that he will die and not defending himself.
Wish it had been canon but they each wind up with other people
Headwig was hit with the killing curse, no coming back from that. She flew in front of it to protect Harry.
Been waiting for this, especially for the Snape/Lily story! Lives in my head rent-free!
The story of Snape is just peak writing and pure character development
if by that you mean it's a complete trope that literally every 'bad guy redemed cos he loves someone who died' character uses, then yes...

What the movie left out was in the vault not only did the items multiply but they also burned 🔥
Books are for losers
One change that always bothered about the last movie was Harry just snapping the Elder wand in half. The book he uses it to mend his original wand back together.
The only thing from the deathly hallow book i wish was in part 2 was that harry did partially use the elder wand before he destroyed it but he only used its power to repair his old wand.
I was surprised and very disappointed that they didn’t include that! It was such an important moment and would only have taken a couple of extra seconds of film to show. Still, I guess the books did a lot more to show just how deeply witches and wizards are linked to their wands, so in the film the felt it was superfluous.
was introduced to your channel through the first harry potter movie reaction, its been a great ride seeing you see it for the first time
Loved your reactions to the series!
Never kill. :)
And exactly like you said, at that moment Harry defeated Voldemort (he disarmed him, Voldemort died because he had no soul pieces / Horcruxes left) had all the three Deathly Hollows in his possession and was Master of Death for a brief instance.
It has been an absolute joy watching you take this journey.
Nice to see you again. My vault is the movie that is being filmed right now ❤
The movie left out a lot on Snape and Lily's relationship.
In the pensive in the book it was snape calling lily a mud blood
@@ViewerOnline101 Yeah, I really don't get how people are still defending Snape, tooth and nail, because he said "always". Dude was evil.
Snape don't actually care about Harry more than Dumbledore. DUmbledore does he was just confused by Snapes response to him dying.
To be honest, last year, I read the whole Harry Potter book series, and I loved them
One more reason to read the books-- Lily and Harry are depicted as having green eyes. But they couldn't portray that in the films.
And I read that George was never able to cast a patronus again, all of his happiest moments were with his brother Fred.
Snape also redirected McGonagall’s attack towards the Callows before he fled!
@@Thepirireis Yep!

Btw at around 12:05, Snape actually collected their wands before escaping...
20:16 this was such a good way to give us references from the previous movies...
Severus was the MVP.
Not only did he collect the wands, he also redirected Minervas spells at the Death Eaters to knock them out.
@@evatesche oh yeah! I forgot to point that out as well.
Her lie went undetected by voldy because it was enhanced by mothers love. Something that can defeat voldy
@@jbreezy101 Narcissa risked her life for her son by trying to lie to Voldy.
Wow that was the craziest and best thing, I have ever read about Harry Potter. Where did you get all the informations wow
@@livimerle2274 Read the book 👍👍
One the best films tbh. This and Azkaban are remarkable films!
And the Order of the Phoenix as well.
@@calvinkopp1735I personally do love that but it’s not as good as the other two.
19:05 Almost anyone: Oh my gawd!!! He's died so horribly!
VKunia: Byeeeee ^_^ 👋
& Dumbledoor and him had it planned ugh 😭so good and sad love this series Order of the Phoniex is still my favorite
good as in on the good side of the war because as a person hes an abusive asshole
Dumbledore did care for Harry he just knew what needed to happen to kill Voldemort. He also probably knew he'd survive due to the blood protection. Harry's blood was used to resurrect Voldemort so he couldn't actually kill harry, only the part of his own soul.
Snape's patronus was the same as Lily's because he loved her so much, that it became the same as hers, and he was the only death eater that could produce it.
it has nothing to do with being a death eater. anyone with bright and happy memory can produce it . Even Umbridge could cast it
@@samir.xanmuradov but as a death eater, only he could produce it
@@junniormattos1not at all
If you notice when Mcgonnagal is fighting Snape he purposely doesn’t attack her but instead redirects her attacks at the Carrow twins standing behind him, helping her out while maintaining his cover, then he leaves so he doesn’t have to fight her because he’s still playing double agent
Enjoyed your reaction to this series! I feel like hedwig’s death always gets overlooked. The snape reveal is amazing. Alan Rickman’s performance is my favorite in this series. Since you enjoyed this series you should give hogwarts legacy a play. It really immerses you in this world.
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them kicks off a still ongoing Harry Potter prequel series. 3 of 5 are out now and all are worth watching.
