- This is the second video of my hike on the two Compton Peak trails, in the Shenandoah National Park. Here, I hike the East Trail and explore the hexagonal "rocks" at the end of the trail! I don't think they are actually rocks!
Lovely scenery. Fascinated with the tree info! Great video Andrew.
Thank you, Robert!
Hey, Andrew. Thanks for sharing! Can a wheel chair reach the rocks?
I suppose it might be possible to reach the rocks with a wheel chair but I'm not going to recommend it. There are a few rocky sections along the main trail that would not be easy for a wheel chair to pass and getting down to the rocks would be the most dangerous part of the journey. I mean no disrespect but if someone where to attempt to take a wheel chair down to the hexagonal rocks, there is plenty of risk; the trail/stairs down is steep and narrow; there is plenty of loose rock that would be very dangerous for someone in a wheel chair to attempt to traverse without fall over the edge to the drop-off. Having several other hikers/friends would be recommended in order navigate that area safely.
I'm in no position to tell anyone what to do, however, I don't want anyone to get stuck or get hurt out there, either.
@@AndrewPOlson Thanks for your honesty. I take my safety seriously. I appreciate your video and thanks for sharing.
