    That knife design makes my head hurt. I can imagine him looking at the sketch before the tattoo like- Yea, that looks great...

      Yeah. But brock can have a tattoo of a spoon... and make it look menacing

    • @MrDman21
      @MrDman21 Год назад

      When you look at Brock's tattoo, the blade is actually dull. But this guy made the sword look sharp and deadly just from a drawing. That's real talent 👍🏽

    I have no swords to express how cool this is!!!

  • @dkupke
    @dkupke 8 лет назад +17

    1. I believe Brock Lesnar has expressed some regret about that tattoo and admits to having been wasted when he got it
    2. This is pretty clearly a decorative piece, not meant for use in real sword fights, so the bizarre design doesn't mean much
    3. The music playing in the background, sounding like the chimpunks really sells this for me

    I like it the way the video keeps only the crafting audio, not adding those "oh look so cool pop music" it makes it so relaxing

    How anyone would find fault with this mans work and skill is shocking, +DiResta is a craftsman of the highest calibre whom has shared his skill and expertise, to see some utter knobs try and critic his work as if anyone is interested or asked for their opinion shows how many know it also are out there. There is nowhere in the video description that asks for comments on workmanship.

      +Heliotacular! I agree, this is a total show piece. I also wonder if he ever tempered the blade. He shows the hardening process but never shows if it was tempered or not. This leaves the blade super brittle. I love the mans work, but these are the two things that made me wonder...

    • @invoidker1049
      @invoidker1049 9 лет назад

      +Michael Swayney plug welds when done right are invisible. While JB weld makes a strong bond it doesn't hold up to shock and movement well.
      Also a show sword looks cool but a sword that friends can hold and hit things with is more fun in my experience.

    You are an American treasure! Thank you for never failing to entertain, excite, and inspire me. Everyone has their own story of what they would do if they hit the lottery. Mine, I would pay you a million dollars to come build things for my home. Your works are more than master craftsmen pieces.....they are fine art.

    Amazing work! I woudn't think anyone could make an actual replica of Brock's weird fantasy gladius-meets-knucks thingy, but you did it.
    Also, I can't be the only one who had to drop the volume because the speeded-up power tools hurt their teeth. The rapid tap-tap-tap of the hammered file sounded really cool, though, like blast beats.

    The creative side battled the Practical side on this one as evidenced by him actually making a Point on that "Blade".

    Jimmy, thanks for showing your watch while cutting the guard! I've always wondered just how much different parts get sped up in your videos, and that was a really cool and non-intrusive way to see. I wonder if you've done that in the past and I've just never noticed before.... *goes back to watch everything a 5th time*
