When I think of the Spider putter I think of Jason Day. Through all his trials and tribulations he has stuck with the Spider, and one thing in his game that never deserted him, was his putting.
Taylormade pureroll face insert for me is the best on the market. If you play in the UK or somewhere with similar weather conditions, the pureroll insert rolls the ball better than any other brand, great for the soft bumpy greens that we play on through late Autumn, Winter and early spring.
Thanks for the review, Dan! I like a bit of toe hang myself. for years I used a Ping Anser (Scotsdale) with the slot behind the face. Now I have a Bettinardi Studio Stock #8 that I absolutely love. I might go try out a Spider putter but can't see one replacing my Bettinardi.
I had a red spider putter where the paint just flaked off. I treated it like a baby but Taylormade would not address this manufacturing fault under warranty. I have never bought and never will buy another Taylormade product again. Nice review though Dan!
The new line has a PVD finish. Will not flake. Great putters, blows away the LAB lineup in my opinion. Best and most versatile Spider lineup by far. The Tour Z is my favorite.
Nice review dan. All four of those putters look great. I used to have a daddy long legs putter (couldn't afford the spider) and it was really good. Just got to a point where I didn't like the look of it anymore as it was so bulky. Might go and give one of these a try
Tired all 8 versions at my local Golf Galaxy. Ordered the Z3 slant neck after making 16/16 putts from 3, 6, 9, and 12’. Made me question why I’m not using a 34” putter 😂 can’t wait to get one in my specs.
Great review Dan and I have to admit that yes I’m going to go and test these putters as I had the original spider (red) putter although I do love my scotty I’m certainly going to try these it was the face and the soft feel that I love on them . But I won’t be giving up my scotty lol
A good honest review Dan including some missed putts. They look great but I won't be swapping from my Scotty, it seemed strange seeing you putting without one either!!! Were any of those putts "Must makes" 😂😂
I’ve got a 2 ball ten Odyssey putter in all reality it’s a spider putter with the 2 ball part made in it, I didn’t like the spider putters but on a trip I rented some clubs and it had the Odyssey so I had to use it and putted very well so when I got back home I of course got one
Love the looks, but as other mentioned, it seems all spider putters the paint flake off. So it is a no no, but nice review Dan. Probably the new TP Black Collection is a more safe way to go.
I have one and feel anything over 3m you have to over composite to get it to go. This, in turn, either opens the face or closes the face altering your line . Still undecided 😕
Same struggle. Stuck between the Phantom 9.5 and the Spider Tour X. I love the way the ball feels coming off the Phantom 9.5, it is super soft. But I am more consistent hitting my line with the Spider Tour X. Tough decision.
I remember testing it when it first came out and was horrified how ugly it looked but you couldn’t argue with how well balanced it was. Seems an age ago and they’re all copying the theory now. Still can’t get my head round the huge grips on modern putters though, for me that takes all the feel away.
You spent 8.5 minutes of barely informative blabbing and never actually compared the actual putters. Too much about you not enough about the actual putter models. You can do better.

I remember that too . I always associate the Spider Tour putters with him.
When playing in Spain, I still use my old limited edition TM Ghost spider. Love it.

Nice review Dan great to see such a neutral review explaining the offerings available from TM on their new line of putters
I love the smalll slant neck on a putter
Love the way the small slant sits, but I putt better with the double bend.... So went with that and a stability shaft... Pick it up tomorrow. 😎
I just bought the new Spider Tour S . Decided to hold off for it.
Love a spider putter always putted well with one
Always learn from your channel so good thank you!!

Fair enough 👍
Make sense. That makes me upset that they don't back up their clubs
I saw someone else say this. It’s spray painted club heads. That’s how they keep the price down. Paint chips.
@@josephferris8914 Lol. Just repaint it. No problem.

I bet Paul will try them all out 😊

What a fab vlog, Lester and Dan should come Ireland south west there you see links you won’t believe, thank you Dan

Just got a Golden Goose off ebay. Works just as well as anything. £17 thank you.

Evening all
Evening Kevo
Just bought one yippee after having a fitting

Tried one of the earlier versions but couldn’t get comfortable

Has Paul got one yet? LOL ;)
I’m sure he will be raiding the office later this week 😂
Struggling on wether to go for the spider or Scotty phantom
Both pretty good 👍

Change of grip Dan or just demoing the putters in 'mere mortal' style!!!?
Just demoing the putters, I get better feel when I putt this way around 😉

I used to love my Spider until the paint flaked off. I’d be cautious about buying another.
Every spider ever…had a shit paint job 😕
Apparently these new ones have a different coating to prevent them from flaking
Had a tour spider , then came across the LAB df 2.1 , spyder stayed in the garage ever since .
What about those palm trees though? What’s going on there?!?!
Palm Trees 🌴???
Zed? Why zed?
Z ?
Quality bit of gear. Had one for a while but got the wrong one. Face balanced doesn’t work for me 😂
