Lamborghini was actually a tractor company and old man Lamborghini owned a Ferrari and was having gearbox issues and went to Enzo Ferrari himself with the complaint to which Enzo responded with “you stick to tractors and I’ll stick to cars” well Lamborghini didn’t like that and set out to build a car better than Ferrari. But Ferrari only started building road cars so they could afford to race. Also Lamborghini as a company hasn’t had much stability and several different companies have owned them from Chrysler to Volkswagen (currently)

It takes hundreds of millions of dollars each year to run an F1 team. Lamborghini aren’t big enough to do it.
