      Baruch Havah Yehoshuah" - Joshua wake up. The vision is right. This teaching is wrong. The law was for Jews in the time of Moses. For some reason Jesus send Paul to the gentiles. Even Paul revoked petter in Galatians 2:11-21

    I am finished with this conversation. Be blessed.

    We know that the animal sacrifices they made at the tabernacle in the wilderness and the temple, were only shadows of the sacrifice that the Messiah would make. Moses knew this too. What if Moses and Aaron took the position of many today and said, "These sacrifices that we are commanded to do are only shadows of the true sacrifice that the Messiah will make, so we are not going to do them." How would that have worked out?

    Mark 7:18-19 'And He said to them, 'Then are you also without understanding? Do you not see that whatever goes into a person from outside cannot defile him, since it enters not his heart but his stomach, and is expelled?'(Thus he declared all foods clean.)"
    "Moses really never had a law."

      3.4.2017 .. I've come back to read more comments and noticed "false " gospel being posted. Lev.11 is "still" current and Always will be. Jesus did NOT fulfil the Ten Commandments, how could He if He is the T/C ? He fulfilled the "sacrificial laws" of Moses, BUT because the Jews did not accept Jesus, they kept bringing "offers", therefore God had to destroy the temple in AD.70, because the blood of animals CAN NOT save a lost soul. But the T/C will remain till heaven and earth hall pass away. BECAUSE sin = the transgression of the law and the wages of sin = death. We do not need "grace" if there is no sin. Peter's vision was about Cornelius and the ppl in his house. They had to be baptized. Acts.10:3-48

    These verses show us that there were restrictions on food, i.e.. things strangled and blood. This reveals to us that the verse in Col. about "let no man judge you" in fact, does not support eating anything you want. And taken to the next step, does not endorse not keeping the sabbath or holy days. And if we keep reading in Acts 15 we can see that James tells us that the sabbath was still be observed in every city. And the Gentiles were expected to be at the synagogues and learn Moses, Torah.

    "Let no man therefore judge you in food, or in drink, or in respect of a holy day, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ." ~ Colossians 2:16,17
    May I suggest we all stop lurking in "the shadows"?

    In Acts 15:21 it says "For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day." implying new Gentile believers have been given some initial instructions/commandments to follow immediately and learn the rest over time, being taught the law of Moses every sabbath day, in every city? Showing the sabbath is still practiced too. Over time because these were not for salvation, but a lifestyle for an already redeemed people.

    What if.... I don't know what if. New believers were instructed to learn and follow Torah. That's it in a nutshell. The Torah was never a means of salvation. It was and is a lifestyle for a redeemed people. It is instructions in how to live a blessed life. You are correct, we do what we can and we must be led by the Spirit in all things.

    Christ is not the end of the law as it is over now. Christ is the goal of the law. 1d) the end to which all things relate, the aim, purpose

  • @DoorPostMinistries
    @DoorPostMinistries  11 лет назад +2

    Grace, you have it wrong. The new Christians were not told to go to the synagogues every sabbath in order to win them to Christ. Doesn't say that. They were told to go there because Moses was being taught. Which is another way to say, the law was being taught and new Christians were expected to learn it. Not so they would know what they were now free from, that would be ridiculous, but so they could live according to it. The gospel today is twisted. Not at all what the Apostles taught.

  • @GraceBride
    @GraceBride 11 лет назад

    Acts 15:21 "being read in the synagogues every sabbath day."
    It was so because the apostles were trying to win the Jews to Christ; they have been keeping the Sabbath, which pictured Christ's coming and was fulfilled by Christ's death, for 1500 years!
    You can't draw some doctrinal conclusion by some implications you feel existing. Doing so is making yourself God!

    Paul is writing believers, telling them not to let any man, unbelievers, judge them now that they were discerning clean from unclean, keeping God's holy days instead of pagan holidays they used to keep. The word "is" as in "the body "is" of Christ" was added by the translators. Not in the original. So only let the body of Christ judge you. Just as when Paul wrote this, that which is coming is still to come. There is a greater fulfillment but that doesn't mean we ignore the commandment now.

    We should follow all GOD'S commands. Remember we are to call no man Rabbi but our LORD Immanuel bar YAHWEH min Bethlehem. We do not keep the traditions of man. Our LORD himself said "it is not what goes into a mans mouth that makes him unclean for it passes out of him, it is what comes out of a mans mouth that makes him unclean for his words come from what is in his heart".
    That being said there are many health benefits to eating kosher.

  • @DoorPostMinistries
    @DoorPostMinistries  11 лет назад

    After "Christ", the apostles still honored the sabbath, and feast days,(Acts 18:21) and they still ate only clean meat as Peter testified. Paul referred to these things as shadows of things to come,at least 25 years after Christ had come and gone. So these things to come have still not arrived. So we keep on with these things which are rehearsals for what is still to come. Christ did not end these. When exactly did these get canceled? It is clear in scripture it was not at Christ's death.

    The blood of Yeshua has paid for our salvation.... no more sacrifices.
    The Torah / instruction , through the Holy Spirit, is our walk of righteousness.. He said, pick up your cross and follow me!
    He fulfilled all the Laws of Moses. There was NO new Testament, written at that time!
    He kept the sabbath, and ALL of Yahweh's Feast days.
    If you love me keep my commandment. John 14:15.

    And yet if we read the Bible we see the council of Jerusalem teaching Gentiles what they ought to do and they state: "Therefore I judge that we should not trouble those from among the Gentiles who are turning to God, but that we write to them to abstain from things polluted by idols, from sexual immorality, from things strangled, and from blood." Acts 15: 28.29 . Glaringly obvious is the omission about keeping the Sabbath. I'll trust their word over yours.

    The video about Peter's vision, fails to mention the decision they made in Acts about requirements for new Gentile believers. In those requirements they did not tell the Gentiles to only eat clean meat. They only specifed that the blood should be drained from the meat and the meat offered to idols. Acts 15:19-21 This would leave me to believe the clean meat rules only apply to Isrealites and not Gentile believers.

  • @DoorPostMinistries

    No we don't still sacrifice animals. According to the Law which was never voided, you need a temple and a priesthood to do those things. That is why Paul and the Disciples went to the temple and participated in animal sacrifice after the crucifixion. Because Yeshua meant what he said in Matthew 5:17-19

    Those sacrifices were implemented *until* Christ. They were appropriate to do *until* Christ. How would it be if people still did them today? Wouldn't that be an offense to God if you were slaughtering animals today for the forgiveness of sins? Likewise, the celebration or not of certain days and foods, etc. was appropriate *until* Christ. They were a shadow. But now Christ has come and we have direct access to the Light.

    Like most Acts 11:3 is ignored. It is so hard to explain that Peter actually did eat with these men. Although they knew what the Jews ate. They would have been prepared to assure Peter had clean food and most likely would have eaten clean themselves perhaps even cleaning the cooking utensils as well. Very unlikely they asked Peter to eat unclean food.
    Regardless he ate as part of his missionary effort. The converts were taught to go to church to fully learn to live the law. Not all at once but eventually.

    @ Battlefield4truth Lets look at the context of your LAW argument, John 7:19 and Mark 7 are the same story. "Yet none of you keep the law". Mark 7:1 After these things Jesus walked in Galilee; for He did not want to walk in Judea, because the Jews sought to kill Him. Who were these people trying to kill Yeshua? Who wanted him dead? (The Pharisees and religious leaders of the time). Mark 7:10 But when His brothers had gone up, then He also went up to the feast, not openly, but as it were in secret. (His disciples went in secret, why because the same evil people would of killed them too). Mark 7:12-13 And there was much complaining among the people concerning Him. Some said, "He is good"; others said, "No, on the contrary, He deceives the people." 13 However, no one spoke openly of Him for fear of the Jews. Context here is they feared the pharisees, and the Pharisees were the one's who were NOT following the Law of Moses but were given the law. Mark 7:26 But look! He speaks boldly, and they say nothing to Him. Do the rulers know indeed that this is truly the Christ? Rulers is the key word in this verse.(Same Rulers). This verse should complete my point of the people who were giving the LAW of Moses and yet did not keep the LAW. Mark 7:32 The Pharisees heard the crowd murmuring these things concerning Him, and the Pharisees and the chief priests sent officers to take Him (Try to kill him). John 7:19 Has not Moses given you the law? Yet not one of you keeps the law. Why are you trying to kill me?” When Yeshua was on earth who were the people he had the most arguments with? The same group that tried to kill him. Context, context, context. Shalom

    Jesus never declared all food clean. Christ is God. Moses really never had a law. The law is called that, but it is God's law that was given to Moses. Exo 24:12 And the LORD said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach them.

  • @DoorPostMinistries
    @DoorPostMinistries  11 лет назад

    ..cont, These new Gentile believers were not at all familiar with God's ways. They were pagans. Since we are saved by faith and not by keeping the law, the Apostles gave them 4 things to start with in their new walk, and concluded they would learn the rest over time as they attended the synagogues every sabbath and heard the Torah being taught. Were they to learn the Torah only to be told it doesn't apply to them? That would be illogical and ridiculous. God expects his people to obey him.

  • @Battlefield4Truth
    @Battlefield4Truth 11 лет назад

    Why did God allow Noah to eat unclean animals?
    And why did Jesus declare all food clean?
    Peter's vision clearly has two layers' meaning:
    1. All food is made clean in Christ.
    2. All gentiles are made clean in Christ.
    If Moses' law was not replaced by Christ's law, we should have seen a lot of stoned dead for breaking the Sabbath, adultery... etc. Didn't God command Israel to obey ALL His law? Breaking one law still makes you a law-breaker.

    Peter and the other disciples were still see through the eyes of the culture and the traditions of the Jews. He would be seen as unclean as unclean, by their cultural and traditional understanding. Jesus did say that it is not what goes in to the mouth that makes one unclean, but what comes out of the mouth, the heart.
    The Levitical Law required the Israelite not it associate in anyway with those who worship the pagan gods. Cornelius was a man of God. Peter could eat the food of the Gentiles b/c the food was not sacrificed to idols. Thus, all food, not sacrificed to idols, is good of eating. Peter and Paul would get in to a dispute over the Gentiles having to be under the same laws as the Jews. Paul would say that if the Jews could not live by it then why hold the Gentiles to it. The Food Laws were meant for the Jews not the Gentile, so too is circumcision.
    When the Gospel went out the laws that applied to the Jews did not apply to the Gentile. It is faith alone in Christ alone.

    • @CNormanHocker
      @CNormanHocker 9 лет назад

      Jesus fulfilled the Ten Commandments. The other laws that grew from them are the cultural and traditional understandings of the people during the exile. Jesus even said that devoice was given to the people b/c they are a stiff necked bunch. Jesus said that in the beginning, creation, God made marriage to be between one man and one woman for eternity. The Israelites and the, now, Jews always would say Moses said and Jesus would always say God said. So to follow the Jewish law to be a Christian is doomed to failure. It's not about works!

    The devil knows how to twist Scripture, too. Let's see, first century Believers never passed on your teaching to their disciples. As a matter of fact, we know the Ebionites were called heretics by real Believers. Furthermore, God Himself says "Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee." Rev 3:9
    Be careful of what you wish for.

    God has instructed us, his people, to eat only clean animals. Your choice to obey or not. Promises come with obedience. Exo 15;26. Jesus didn't cancel anything in the law Mat 5:17. He did not cancel the sacrifices. Never told them to stop. Acts 21. The Apostle Paul with other believers participate in animal sacrifice. Jesus fulfilled them, he didn't end them. Why we don't do them now in the temple? There is no physical temple to do them. Now we do spiritual sacrifices. We are the temple.

    Quit teaching error and learn what Jesus really said about food. Matthew 15:11, "Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man." 1 Timothy 4:1Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; 3Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. 4For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: 5For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
