- Here's a very quick play through the different channels of the Mesa Quad preamp in a low-gain setting (except for the few chugs at the end).
You'll be hearing this preamp on basically all my music from now on.
* I'm running the preamp into the power amp of my Laney IRT studio

Good to hear!! If I get the chance, I would like to use it someday.
Thanks, it's a quirky amp but I'm sure you'd love it 🙂🙏
Great sounding, what mic pre are you using or is it direct to audio interface for the two mics?
Thanks! 🙌 mics are going to a Behringer ultragain (Midas preamps) which I use as an ADAT extension for my Apogee interface
Nice! How do you like it? It sounds like it has a really elastic chewy tone with a single coils.
I love it. It's more or less two different Mark series revisions in one (IIC+ at the top and III at the bottom) and they're my favorite amps ever.
How loud would you say you run your amp/cab in a situation like this? Somewhere around 80-90db? Idk if you have a monitor
This was a bit louder than usual since I'm sat off-axis from the cab but it's usually at low bedroom levels (authoritative speaking voice covers the guitar when I'm standing at my desk recording) but everything's low, I like the clacking of my keyboard to cover the fine details in my mix. That gives me a solid baseline of what a distracted ear will hear from my music.
