My Shark was making the same bypass noise! Thanks to your video, I just found three clogs. One hair clog at the floor rotor and another way back in the upper flex pipe. Finally looked at the canister cone filter, and since it has never been cleaned, I used a garden hose and really flushed it out good. Works like new now!

Thank you, i found a receipt and a ball of dirt on the top area. I also cleaned up my filters. Works great again!

I have no clogs and it’s still making the noise…could it be my motor?

If your filters are clean, I'm guessing you have a clog and just haven't found it yet. The first time I looked for a clog I didn't find it either. One hair clog I had was in the upper flex pipe. The only way I could see it was to shine a flashlight down the tube since it was about 8 inches from the opening.

I had the same problem. I double checked for every clog. It wasn't until I got it all back together that the noise stopped. There was probably some sensor that was thinking "my Brush is still disconnected."

I traced this same issue to some cheap filters. They simply wouldn't let air flow even when brand new.
