So far so good with this vacuum. ruclips.net/user/postUgkx8ISPQRRAfpAaX4msGjyodObTBnlj4T5g I was a little concerned to find it seems to be all plastic, but the reviews were good, so I'm hoping for the best. Very easy to assemble Recommened, and only attachments I've used so far work well, and are easy to use. Doing a good job on the new carpet in my bedrooms and stairs. Works well on the hardwood on my main floor too. Reasonable weight and cord length. I already knew from an earlier review that it wouldn't fit under furniture, but I can use my Eufy for that, so no problem - the high traffic areas that need a stronger suction was really what I bought this for. If it continues as it's started, it will be a good buy and well worth the money. I have had two Shark Rocket stick vacs in the past that are super easy to use, but the motors just don't last well, even with scrupulous cleaning of the filters. I'm hoping for better with this Bissell.

My parents had this exact Shark vacuum. My mom claimed it was broken after a month. They bought a new Hoover. I said I’ll take the Shark if you’re going to throw it away. Now I just figured out how to fix it. It is literally as good as new now! Thank you!

Ours is making a grinding noise, cleaned and check everything on the video. I'm assuming it's something with the motor or if it has a belt/gears. But I found that there are a ton of screws so I'm to worried to try and check it. Hopefully I find a video of someone taking it apart.
Solid vid. Helped us out despite having a newer Shark model than this. For us, instead of having to undo the panel on the bottom with a flat head, our tube is about 8 inches and it's placed on the side. The end connected to the brush portion of the vacuum twists off and the other end connected to the "spine" of the vacuum snaps on/off with a push and pull mechanism. Our clog was in both spots.

Before disassembling anything requiring a screwdriver...[ CHECK THE CURVED HANDLE TUBE. Remove handle. ] Check to make sure there are no clogs there. It's a tight curve.] I had major blockage there, which caused the loud sucking sound. ]

You are a life saver! My vacuum stopped working correctly, and while I initially suspected a blockage, I later thought it wasn't blocked because the wand still maintained reasonable suction. I guess it's just a testament to the power of the motor.
Once I saw your video and realized our vacuums were making the exact same noise, I was able to locate the blockage and clear it. Thanks!

thanks for a very helpful video. i did everything i could think of and it was still making that sane exact loud noise. i didnt know that you could take the bottom off like that. i have a little different model but the printable was the same. i had a huge clog that was right behind the rollers. without your video i never would have found that. thanks again

The hose! 😂 Used a skinny grabber tool as I didn't see the clog at the top just behind the handle. 5 minute fix after working all the " Clean the Filters" videos. THANK YOU!

I have an older ( over 13 year old) Shark Rotator Professional model. This things NEVER loses suction. Keeping filters clean and hoses clear is key! My daughter was 2 1/2 when we purchased this and she just turned 16...I hope it keeps on going. Ours is white with blue trim and I LOVE the grey color of the newer models but I'm not ready to give it up just yet! Lol

Great info! I have three Sharks right now. None of them have that sucking noise. But it's good to know if any of my trash pick treasures ever do in the future. The swivel mechanism on the UV410 is wonky as it makes maneuvering it unwieldy. Got any vids on that? Took apart and cleaned everything and nothing... looked in the hose of the handle and there was a plastic toy carrot. It was blocking the hose entirely. For fack sake! 🤦🏽♂️

Thank you! I was wondering why the vacuum was making the noise from the side hole/vent. Your step-by-step logical elimination process was very useful. I found a sock hiding inside the main tube. The vacuum no longer makes the noise and is back in service.
Did not solve. I disassembled all parts not requiring a Phillips. Still has noise. More advanced advice?
I have the exact same vacuum and this hight pitch sound started to emanate from the side of canister. I did everything you did and I have found zero clogs anywhere but the sound is still there and suction has greatly diminished. I have now idea what to do next.

Question for anyone: My Shark uv540 when I vacuum isn`t picking up anything, and I`ve checked everything--the hose, brush, filters, etc. Also the vacuum is making this really loud grating, screeching noise. Do I need to unscrew the entire brush assembly to look inside it? I do notice there`s a hole near the bottom--could this be the problem?

Man I hope u had a mask on that’s a load of dust lol. I just picked up a navigator lift away from Walmart. What do u feel about the dust bin clip attached to the handle. I’m afraid it’s gonna break. Awesome video sir, thank you. Had that same sound on a shark vacuum cleaner and the main vertical tube was clogged. I had to use a knife to remove the clog. May I suggest a revision on your video title though ( clog sound ?) Because I didn't see anything here on YT with that in the title. Also, thank you for getting right to the point instead of dragging this out into a 30 min BS video (etc)
I was looking for help with my problem - our Shark Powered Lift-Away pod won't come off the wand. The button goes down, I'm just not sure if it doesn't go down far enough to release it from the wand. It won't budge. So frustrating as this was the reason we bought it! Any thoughts? It seems no one has conquered this problem yet.
My hepa filter keeps popping out after about 20 min of use. I'm on my 3rd hepa filter and I'm pretty sure that I probably didnt need one after watching these videos. Can you suggest something to check? Thanks in advance.
I have done ALL of these things and I'm STILL having issue. I've cleaned all the connections of where everything clicks in place. Cleaned all the filters. Took off the bottom and cleaned the beater bar and the hose bit. Nothing. I can't get it to work.
my wheel fell off and I can't put it back on. I have a Shark Professional NV356e. How do I get to the back where the wheel screws in? thank you for the great video above.
I have done everything possible with mine and it still doesn't work., it still makes that loud suction noise after 10 seconds of running it. Poorly designed seals and contact points. Ours is only 2 years old, as with most new things on the market these days they are disposable, unlike things I grew up with that lasted decades.
Mine was clogged at the bottom like he showed and just a little above that or you can take the whole handle off. So it was clogged in two places. I just fixed it after working on it for about an hour, works perfect now. Save me a hundred fifty bucks from Costco
was good video but on the two foam filters i wash them by hand and wring them out , lots dirt comes out , then let air dry. also ,If you do not have a screw driver handy a quarter ( 25 cent coin ) works perfectly : ) for bottom hose , this video shows the top air canister filter which is the first one people forget about , i clean this and solves the high pitch sound 99 percent out of 100.
Another note ill hand wash n air dry two foam filters once a month : ) . hope this also help adding to this video . : )
I bought this vacuum but had to send it back because my carpet is real thick and plush and the vacuum will not move. It has too much suction for my carpet even when I adjusted the suction valve. Any suggestions? Thank you!

When I step on the top of my shark upright to get to get it into vacuum mode it keeps coming up. It won't stay down the brush rollers itself that hold part on the bottom with the wheels won't stay down

I personally do not like bagless vacuums. I find them a bigger pain in the ass. My problem is the air brush roller is not spinning. The vacuum works fine, but the roller refuses to spin.
At 2:35 in the video you out your finger in that hole and it made that sound. There’s a spring in that compartment you put you finger over in the video I took it apart and don’t know which way the spring and little black piece goes now. Could use some help thank you

I have this same sound and the clips from the cup is loose. So maybe it’s that? Cause I checked all the hose and cleared out the cup. I change the filters every few months. I’m still stuck lol

I finally found a video with a vacuum similar to mine. The problem with mine is that is not sucking dirt into the canister it just stays in the bottom hose and doesn't travel up the tube into the canister :/ any tips?

I want to know how to replace the red clip on the bottom of the hose tube. Mine no longer works, so the top separates from the bottom when vacuuming.

Mine made the noise when there was a major clog in the shaft from the tank to the roller. 10 minutes break down and clean up made it work better than brand new 😁
one more thing, this was the only video I could find with my same model. All the others are slightly different plates.

My problem was the clog was higher up in the hose and wouldn’t get sucked up into the canister.
