Underwater crayfish trapping: Crayfish stolen by thieves

It is still early season and particularly early for this lake. We sent a camera down with a trap that filmed for about an hour, along with two other traps. We only caught a few crayfish in that hour, so we let them the traps soak from around noon that day until 10am the following day. Upon checking our traps, we noticed the ropes and traps were displaced and all of the crayfish had been stolen from the traps. The fine for obstructing fishing, hunting and trapping is up to 1 year in prison and a $25,000 fine. Going forward, we will be keeping a very close eye on the traps. We have great optics and would love to catch a thief.
