Like #38, Jason Bay in the house Baby! Love all the cards John and not much of a modern collector, but I also love the heritage. Actually love all years of heritage....lol I just love me some cardboard for any year or sport even some non-sports as well and a Nick Gonzales auto as a Pirates fan I salute you on your great pack hit. Would love to see the Bucco's turn it around and some of these young guys perform. Thanks for sharing 👍👍and ✌out
Awesome W517s -- love the Bill Terry and Pie Traynor. Those SI autos are very cool, I only wish they all featured actual SI covers. I've picked up Frank Robinson, Al Kaline and Ron Santo this year all with an SI cover as part of the card -- that was a great concept. Thanks for sharing, John!
Great stuff as usual. I'm loving the Heritage cards. '73-'75 is the sweet spot for my favorite Topps sets, so Heritage has been on a nice 3-yr run for me.
Hi John Man I am always grateful every time you give my hero Mr. Kingman some love! He was the highlight of an otherwise vanilla Mets team in the late 70s. Love him or hate him he always made watching baseball fun! Keep up the good stuff and you just reminded me I need to grab a slab of beef for my dinner tonight Cheers~
Gave a video like. Great Bill Terry! That is a sweet looking set. Those autograph cards are awesome! Nice Ryan Zimmerman cards. Don’t see his cards often on RUclips. Thanks for sharing.
You asked for it Mr. Mangini rant coming lol. I freaking love that McCovey!!! I absolutely love the Mangini slabs. I will be doing a little showcase of my nicer Jerry Rice cards in my slabs. It has been an absolute blast. I love the Heritage this year as well.
Hey John - thanks for sharing. I am curious if you are familiar with the wine cellar associated with the Roberto Clemente Museum in Pittsburgh. Not sure where I heard about it..if I heard about it from you. Engine House 25 wines..apparently located beneath the museum. The wine labels picture either Clemente or winners of the Clemente Award. I recently had a couple of bottles shipped to my home..had a bbq last week and a few people enjoyed a red blend (Roberto and Vera on the label). I’m not an expert but it was quite good. Check it out if you haven’t already. Have a good weekend.
Beautiful cards. Encapsulation of a card in plastic is a slab. A number on a slab has nothing to do with what a slab is by definition. A number is just a grade of someone's opinion. That is put on a slab. Slab is a material that is chunky. Cheers
I believe the Leaders cards are 68’s but you’re right they are 1967 stats. We know what you meant by slabbing, I can’t rant against you. Love that Ruth card!
You misunderstand. The research you have done is incredible. Your arguments are deep and thought out from every angle. To say I don’t respect it is an untruth. I just don’t care about famous people’s lives that much. I collect athletes and like you’ve said, history, not people.
@@MrJmangini you know the white sparkle parallel. It was made to look like Michael's glove for his cards from the 96 history tour. So one of the most valuable cards in the modern market came from michael jackson. I'm just saying michael is connected to all of us our hobby and the players with love. Thank you for your kind words about my investigation.
Great showcase as always. I really can’t do a rant video about you. But I’d like to do a rant video about the guy who made that stupid comment. What is a slab except putting a card inside a hard plastic case?! Does it have to be from megrading company?! That is just plain ridiculous! Great cards. Thanks for sharing.
I would like to buy that 4-in-1 Japanese baseball card with Saduharo Oh from you. I'm willing to pay $9 for it...an opportunity for you to triple your money since you never pay more than $3 per card.
I don't recall using the words stupid and moron, but yes, until these custom labels, slabbing implied the cards were graded. Future rant possible if I hear someone other than you use this term for a magnetic.
A slab is a holder not a number. It’s a made up term. I don’t think the grading companies invented or even use the term. I’ve always heard them use the term “holder.” Is a magnetic not a holder? Should we not use that term either? Look at videos of PSA announcing their new holders. They call them holders and never use the term slab. It’s all good. I think people doing rants on my use of the word would be fun!
So if you send a card to PSA and ask them only to authenticate the card, is that card slabbed by PSA? There is no grade on it... I would trust Mangini to authenticate vintage cards over many of these new grading companies that slab your card with a grade. Mangini authenticated the card and put it in a holder. How is this any different than PSA?

LOVE those 3D Slurpee discs! Reminds me of my childhood.
Yea me too
the sports illustrated autos are hidden gems - and the slurpee disc - nice. Just stumbled on a complete 1984 NHL slurpee disc set all graded.
Nice

Cool autograph cards. The Hank Bauer, Tug McGraw and Dave Kingman look great.
I just love the variety in your collection John. Would love to see it one day. Take care.
Thanks. Cmon over
Be right there! Chicago is super close. 🤣
Dude, I’m all over this year’s Heritage, love em! The sparkle blues are fantastic.
Yea I have another box arriving today. Always loved the 75 set so I can’t get enough of these!

Gibby on the Pirates… I had blocked that fact out… 😬😇😂🤣

Nice Slabs! People are so stupid! Thanks for sharing, stay safe & hope you are well my friend.
Where you been?!!!
The Oh/Nagashima 4 in 1 is a sweet card! The Fleer/SI autos look great SLABBED up 😁
:)
Nice shirt..surprised you didnt remove the sleeves 😆
Haha I thought I’d keep this one in tact.
No rants here, lol. Pretty cool showcase of cards. I really dig Heritage this year . . . it is basically all I am buying right now.
I’m so into them.
Great shirt! I like the Hack Wilson the most. I am not making a rant video against you, especially when I like your slabs.

My bad, I didn’t catch that it was the same card being displayed. My apologies to you and Mr. Mays.
I made a vr for this question.
Appreciate that but why you always have to call me a loser? You and I agree on most things.

You are a bit late but I definitely do not have that card. I may have that player soon, depending on how a current auction goes.
Well you know how I am with schedules. I’m a man of liesure.
I mean you grade cards bro? 🤪
You know me. I love numbers on my cards!

So dumb haha

Of course. Grew up in my dad’s home town and died in a car crash in my hometown. He is why we know Joe Jackson!
