Hey, much appreciated LV! If I'm buying cards to grade I prefer vintage by far. It's more fun for me and with lower grades on the right cards still having good value, you really can't lose. The prices were too good to pass up on the Venezuelans. Then again, I don't need any inventory from the 1980's-2020 at all so that does make sense. I'm also getting a bit bored of FB cards and modern metallic/chrome cards. Other people's are intriguing but I just have so many and strongly prefer paper flagship Topps and those parallels for my PC. Going to do a similar plan as you next year with my 1990's-2010's cards 30-50 at a time with PSA Collector's Club. Likewise LV, thank you sir!
Thanks Steve! I appreciate you watching and commenting. It was certainly a very fun and blessed submission! Probably my last for the year unless I find more Venezuelan or O-Pee-Chee stars. Nothing's more exciting to grade than vintage!
Thank you! I'm still shocked to even own any of these. It is a very strong copy. I haven't even put my last two submissions away in my keepers boxes yet. I'm very Blessed!
Gave a video like. Dang, that '68 Venny of Vada Pinson is a stunner. The Palmer!!! Oh my gosh!!! Concepcion and the Mantle are sweet! The Greenberg is so cool! Congrats on all those beauties, Ben
Well thank you very much, sir! I was just going through them today to decide what to keep and sell - and I'm still on the fence haha... You know, your thumbs ups are helping all of the RUclips card channels... I don't think most users realize how important that is for visibility and the RUclips algorithm for recommended videos. Thanks again, Brian, you help this community more than you even realize my friend!
Man, I am extremely happy! The prices I got those 2 at were impossible to pass up and then another $15 each to put them into the collection encased and authenticated? Total no-brainer! Thank you, Mark!
Thank you Sammy, I feel very blessed! I'm only keeping the Greenberg, Palmer and possibly Concepcion if you need anything. I appreciate the view and comment, man!
Thank you Warren! I still cannot believe I own that card haha... Very weird they didn't grade the Cloth though, they usually do. I'll have to send those back as well as the Milton Bradley Ed Mathews.
@@warrendinCLE Hey Warren, just seeing this buddy... I'll be sending them back for sure, they've been very cool about it in past orders and even paid shipping both ways - even providing their own label I could print to drop off at FedEx. SGC is very cool about it , but I aint letting it slide that's for sure!
Thanks Rob! I had a feeling you would like that one... If I see another pop up, I'll let you know. If you have a want-list I try to keep a look out for people's card needs here and there.
😁 That's me! I'm starting to feel like a dang robot, 2-inch titanium screw in my right elbow too... Well I didn't have a wrist scar yet! Head, neck, legs, abdomen, elbow, ankle - check!
Yessir, I am very pleased... I don't know, they have graded quite a few, I think mine are the only ones Authenticated. It makes no sense but they'll fix it free. Must have screwed up the submission sheet. They have screwed these up for me before though, several times now with crossovers. Thanks Warren!
The arm is looking good. I’m sure it will be great getting back to doing some exercise. On the modern unique cards like the Boston Strong and Opening Day image variations are not that well publicized, so like you said there is not a market for the cards and therefore likely to not fetch what it could be. With that said, a card is only worth what someone will pay for it. Similar with OPC vs Topps, you would think that the OPC would be worth a lot more based on the supply, but not always the case. Those are some really nice Venezuelan cards you found. I love the league leaders cards. Vintage cards look great in a tux.
Preach, Ken! That is very true in many cases, most definitely in this one... I appreciate you weighing in and I always enjoy your wisdom and encouragement my friend!
Concepcion was a nice player. he is not going to the HOF, though. I only have recent experience w/ SGC sending them '62s. like your '68s, I don't really have an understanding of what they saw on those cards to grade them lower than I thought. I even had them under a 10 loupe before sending. ty for sharing your cards. seems you are attracted to rarities and oddities which is cool! that Concepcion card is pretty darn cool.
I actually agree, the stats aren't there although the AS appearances are high. Like Marty Marion, etc.. I do like the more off the radar things if I can help it and find good prices. If I'm buying, I like the more scarce stuff with higher prices that can still have value with obvious damage. I have modern-2019 cards though for the most part in my collection to grade in the future but I like to go on vintage buying sprees to get a few Hall of Famer RCS and grade cool stuff to sell to offset the cost of the keepers. If that makes sense haha. . Thank you very much for watching and weighing in, I appreciate that!
Great Palmer Venny, Ben. I'm an Orioles fan. I've got the Topps '66 base card rookie, but am not sure if I've seen one in person before; the Venny variation. Palmer is so under appreciated/under valued in the hobby. I think he won more games than any other pitcher of, the 1970's decade... my apologies, however, if my opinion on grading offended you. Too much for me to write out, in a comment what I want to see from grading companies... That being said, we should all collect, the way we want to collect...that, is a fact.
Thanks man! There is a beautiful raw copy with a pen mark on eBay right now, she'll take offers. There was an SGC 2 on COMC for a while but looks like it sold in the last day or two, wow... just checked. I agree, it's a bit odd he and Carlton don't get appreciated enough. I think most great pitchers not named Sandy, Ryan or Seaver are grossly undervalued. You may be right on 1970's victories, I know it was Jack Morris in the 1980's... Oh I'm not offended, I took it tongue in cheek. I only re-used the word dumb in jest. I don't care who grades what or doesn't at all haha... I do know graded cards sell for more, that was my factual aspect. Aside from anomalies, that generally is a fact. I totally respect the guys who won't grade. I've always planned on it because my collection is enormous and I have so many duplicates of big cards to pare down just to see where I even stand! I personally invested in myself with my savings this year and started an online card shop by grading cards. I don't like dealing in non-graded cards unless it's through COMC. Graded cards offer so much freedom as a seller - and confidence cards won't be nit-picked or returned. I always hear both arguments. It takes a lot of cash to do what I did. I don't have a job and being disabled, my state is supposed to help me find a job - but they aren't... which leaves me this one option for income. So, I literally have to maximize my collection that way. But, in my defense, I'm into my collection for 1/10th pennies on the dollar, I have been extremely Blessed. So another $10-12 into a card makes so much sense. For example, I bought a 2014 Topps Update Mookie Betts on eBay raw for $3.50 years ago.. $12 more into it turned it into an SGC 10. I have 4 high graded copies of that card and spent $16 on the packs/singles and $48 to grade the 4 copies and voila... Thank you Jesus! My tale would take a year or so to type my friend, and I didn't take offense haha... Even when I jabbed back I was totally kidding. Everyone always thinks I'm sinister online haha, but it's so hard to interpret texts/comments so I get it. Then again they may have heard my music... I'm always an outcast, I'm used to being misunderstood. All good man!
