Mr. Smedes thank you SO MUCH you saved me last year and I got a 4!! I self studied the exam and I became truly passionate about environmental science by the end of it. Thanks for these videos and all of the motivation!! I really loved this course.
I took the class last year and im so glad I did. Im hoping to get into a career where I can better the natural world and those who live in our artificial one. Ever since our power unit, Ive started unplugging consoles and my tv when they're not in use. Your videos carried me throughout the tests (just like how bozeman science carried me through AP Bio) and hearing your signature sign off made my heart drop and filled me with a nostalgic somber, as I likely won't hear it again. I hope you continue to aid and inspire future APES scholars like you have for me. Thank you so much! ❤
Hey, I am taking APES this year, I am self studying it tho since my school doesnt have the subject for seniors. I want to ask, what month do you think I should start studying?
It depends on your science and AP background. If you've done really well in biology, chemistry (especially if you've taken AP versions of these and done well on those exams) you may be able to get away with 8 weeks of self-studying if you put in a few hours a day. If you don't have as strong a science background I'd really consider staring several months before the exam so you have time to cover the content, but also practice active recall with quizlet, practice tests, and practice FRQs. Let me know if you have any other questions! Tons of students every year self-study APES using this channel and the Ultimate Review Packet and do well on the exam.
