I have the same set up with canon m6 mark ii with viltrox speed booster and 18-35 mm sigma 1.8. At 18 mm I can see the barrel of the lens in my corners. I was surprised I could see it on yours

For now: Pros: - Keeps sharp image - Gives a wider angle than the 18mm lens would do originally - Autofocus works properly, especially for photos Cons: - Can have vignetting when zoomed all the way out (is only noticeable in some situations) - Continuous autofocus for video is not worth it since it is noisy and does the jitter like in this video - Has some wiggle to it when attached to the camera which can be offputting at first but it does not affect anything

You should be able to I believe. Are you in either a manual, shutter priority, or aperture priority mode? I don't believe it'll work if on program mode.
Alot of people trash the auto focus on youtube. 1 minutes later... The auto focus is trash. Panasonic and nikkon make the worst auto focus ever. its so bad, im amazed they put it on their cameras at all.

As long as you get the booster that fits whatever your Sigma 16mm lens is. So if it's a Canon EF lens then it will work with what I have linked in the description. Otherwise, you will have to look for a booster that matches the lens mount type.
@@seanbrownskating as I know, you need to calibrate the Sigma autofocus lens through the dock (www.amazon.com/Sigma-USB-Dock-for-Canon/dp/B00CBQ5YOS). If you do not calibrate the autofocus will not work correctly.
Hey man, great video! But I am about to rip my hair out. After misordering a different viltrox speedbooster for my 18-35 to g85 setup, I finally reordered the Viltrox EF M2 II. I can attach the adapter to my camera body just fine but the 18-35 itself will not screw into my brand new viltrox adapter. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG??? Please help me if you can. I'm sick of researching and reordering.
Did you line the white dot on the sigma up with the red dot on the viltrox? Also maybe check your screws at the bottom of your lens. I've had other lenses that didn't go on when the screws were lose.
You’ll get a slight vignette if fully open at 18mm but it isn’t too noticeable tbh. Zooming in slightly should fix any issues. Shouldn’t have to zoom too far either.

@@yakine13 autofocus is probably a ton better too haha. I’ve been lovin this lens so far though. I mainly just do tripod shots so it fits my needs. Having good AF would be a great addition though. The depth of field on this thing is crazy.

@@buuzy252 for that moment yes. It's because the sigma's aperture kept going higher than the f1.8 since it was so bright outside. I feel like since the kit lens is native to the camera it pairs well mostly. But in more of my use cases recently, I definitely like the sigma lens better. I can get a wide angle with a shallow depth of field which makes for some cool shots. Plus it captures more light whenever I'm in a darker area. I believe the 14-42 has an aperture of f3.5

The Panasonic G7, Canon M50, and Sony ZV1 are all good choices. I use adobe premiere pro but there’s plenty of free alternatives that do the job
Use davinci if you wanna get pro level software for free!

For the Panasonic stock lenses it’s not that bad (obviously canon and sony are way better for that). But it is absolutely horrid with the Sigma lens 🤢

Not sure. What are you trying to do? I don’t have a dock. Just used the adapter and connected everything to the G7 and it works fine.

The end where I talk about the specs was my 14-42mm and the b-roll during that was my 25mm f1.7
