I did almost the same thing for my 129. Anyway when is your part 4 coming?? I gotta figure out how to wire ! Ha. I’m using the starter that came on the engine and I took out all the original electronics. I’m running a loader so I need the alternator for lights and fan to cool my hydraulic radiator. Anyway I’m kind of stuck on wiring the alternator….
Part 4 might be more than a bit late since i brought the cub cadet back to the family farm to use. Wiring on the engine isn’t too difficult. I cheated and got a one wire alternator that just gets hooked up to the positive terminal on the battery. I’d do a tutorial on my wiring but I made things more difficult by using a key switch that’s meant for a tractor with points ignition.
@@jasonwhitler4167 where did u get the one wire altenator. I’m running into sparking issues and online people tell me I don’t have an altenator with a built in regulator… so What brand do you have and does it have an internal regulator?
Hopefully I’ve made most of the mistakes for you then. I have it running now, I need to film a video on how I had to change the clutch linkage. Really I’d recommend cutting out the frame and dropping the engine further down. My plan of keeping the engine mounted on the same surface as the old kholer was a lot of extra work
I already watched it. I forgot so I watch it again thanks.
Nicely done! Yea you don't want that heat on them windings in your alternator. Have a good weekend Jason! See ya!
Nice job! I like this project!

@@jasonwhitler4167 gotcha. I’m sure I will figure it out by doing more “googling”. Cool projects you have! Thanks for posting,…. Your info is helpful!

DB Electrical 400-52062. I’m pretty sure it didn’t cost $100 when I bought it 😕 www.amazon.com/dp/B00KGIDF9Y?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Im definitely looking into this swap for my 100 been having alot of trouble finding a motor for it

There is just spot welds that hold the cage on that pulley, just drill them out to remove it.
Nice. Looks well thought out, and I like the turnbuckle, too bad it's slightly off-set. Can you lock it so vibration doesn't loosen it?
I might just wire the turnbuckle to the alternator if it tries to loosen up. Hopefully it won’t be an issue tho
I need a part 4 lol my cub cadet 125 just took a dump on me and I’m still not sure if I should do a predator swap
I need to film it. I have it running and driving. I’m planning on covering the clutch linkage and a few other parts
Cool.
