Dear Fr. Ready, I am from the United States and my husband and I visited Ireland, and we loved Kilkenny. This was a very sad story of the car incident. I have seen the dark black shadow of the devil when I was alone in the house I rented in the past. I surrounded myself with the large holy bible from a priest borrowed by my sister. Aside from that I had holy water and holy salt and had many prayer books I always prayed with holy rosarys I prayed. Satan also attacks those who are deeply religious who attends holy mass w/holy communion and visits the blessed sacrament daily. It was really very difficult during those times. Now that I am old the evil one gives me so many sickness. After recovering from one comes another! MY FAITH NEVER FAILS ME BECAUSE GOD FATHER and JESUS CHRIST IS W/ME and with my daughter. Thank you for this wonderful, thought inspiring video Fr. Thady. I have been wondering if my 20 year old son is or has been experiencing demonic vexation after nearly losing his life in July this year. 5 minutes to midnight a loose horse raced out onto the motorway in the South of Ireland. The horse tore the roof off the car, my son was in, died on impact, and my son was left fighting for his life at the scene of a very freak accident. He was rushed to hospital with severe brain and head injuries. At one point, fearing he would die in hospital, I arranged for a Priest to give him the 'last rites', or 'anointing of the sick', as its called now. You would think in 'Catholic Ireland', the hospital would have arranged this, but NO !! I had to fight to save my son's soul, even if there was little hope left for his body. With a broken heart, I saw 2 Priests before I could ensure my son's soul would be saved. The first Priest, while sympathetic, seemed lost in science. Initially, he didn't see the spiritual urgency my son was facing, until I told him a story of when I was a young nurse in England, I got a phone call from a dying patient's family, who were living in Ireland. They were worried that their relative would die, without the help of a Priest. I assured them I'd arrange for a Priest and they were relieved when I told them I was a 'Plashtic'. British born person of Irish parents, immersed in Irish culture. My dying patient was very weak, and hadn't long left in this world. From a nursing view point, all I could do was to ensure dignity and comfort. I did arrange for our hospital Catholic Chaplain to see the patient. It was my night duty shift and it was very late when the Priest arrived. I pulled the curtains around the Priest and patient to give them privacy. All was very peaceful. Until suddenly, I could hear forceful shouting from behind the curtain, coming from the patient who was too weak to breath normally, never mind actually speak !! This gave me quite a fright ! Within seconds the poor Priest emerged from the curtains quite shaken too !! I was admonished for calling the Priest when the patient clearly didn't want him, but until the Priest approached the patient, the patient had been too weak to talk !! The patient clung to life during my night shift, but did die the following day. When I recounted this story to that first Priest, who was lost in science, he actually cried and forwarded me onto a Priest who would help my critically injured son. The following evening I attended his Mass and he included my son in the offerings, for which I am very grateful. The Priest I was forwarded onto gave absolution to my son as part of the holy ritual, 'anointing of the sick'. Coincidentally this Priest was a fellow student of my former Parish Priest, for whom my son, with his brother, served Mass. God sure does serve up those coincidences, for some reason. After a while and alot of prayer and Masses from me, family, friends and one of the Patricks from the 2 Patricks, my son was discharged from hospital, but not without problems and next to no support. He has had set backs and I've had to return him to hospital on several occasions. With the help of God, I'm confident he'll improve. He truly has made a remarkable recovery. Thank you God. Until very recently I have had to fully financially support my son, on top of nursing him at home. For almost 5 months despite applying for financial aid, nothing came. My mother felt such pity she gave us money to cope, even though she's very elderly. Thankfully my son now has some financial support and has been able to keep the bailiffs from the door. Before his accident he was a university student, who got a loan from the Bank of Ireland. Even though they were aware of his accident, they still hounded him for payment. I had to clear some of his debt. Compounded with my son recovering from his injuries; me battling with neurology, who discharged him with no support; the bank crying for the loan to be rightly repaid; the financial assistance that took months to arrive; the Gardaí (Irish police) were looking to convict my son for driving without insurance !! He wasn't the driver. The car he was in wasn't his and the owner of the car, also involved in the crash lied to Gardaí out of fear because he had been allegedly drug driving and moved my son from his front passenger seat to apparently resuscitate him, before the emergency response team arrived. My son did suffer brain seizures at the crash site and insists he died for a few minutes. He said during those minutes he was in a dark room with no windows, but felt such peace he didn't want to come back to life. Why do I wonder if my son is the victim of demonic vexation ? Because of the series of bad luck/happenings just stated, which I feel are the results of my son and his friends foolishly visiting an evil haunted house in Northern Ireland, a few months before his accident . I won't mention the name of the house. I don't want to inspire anyone who reads my words to go searching for evil there. Look for Satan and you'll surely find him. This particular house is apparently a place where black magic rituals have and maybe still are performed. There are also rumours of punishment beatings and worse by nefarious members of ungodly society. Post lockdown, with hardly anywhere for youngsters to go for a night out my son and his friends went across the border to Northern Ireland. They heard of a haunted house and thought it would be exciting to visit. Not really believing in the supernatural, they were looking for a fun night out. On the grounds of the old rambling house, my son saw an entity/ghost/demon. The others each saw something too. I'm nearly sure they also experienced unholy visions in the house too. With fear they ran as fast as they could toward the car and manage to escape unharmed. When my son finally got home to the West of Ireland, he was beyond scared, as he recounted his frightening experience. After telling him off for looking for evil and finding it, I told him to get to Knock Apparition Shrine for confession and receive Jesus for forgiveness and protection. Knock Shrine is only 1 hour away from where we live and although its hard to receive Jesus on the tongue there, at least daily confession is offered. I thought he had gone to bed but when I checked his room in the morning, he was missing. With panic I phoned him. Turned out he drove to Knock Apparition Shrine and slept in the car, on the grounds waiting for the Reconciliation Chapel to open for confession. He received the sacrament of confession. However soon after, he started experiencing nightmares of demons appearing to him and him praying in his nightmares to rid them. He also saw flashes of spiritual entities to waking life. He even even saw something in our neighbour's garden. He says he never saw anything on our own property. Our home is consecrated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. I have plenty of sacramental pictures and statues in our home for protection and love. Before we moved in the Asians who lived here left incense they were using to worship their own deities. With my neighbour, we sprinkled blessed salt around the house, before moving our furniture in. We discovered a picture of our Polish Pope St. John Paul ii, under the stairs. The fact that the former inhabitants did not discard the picture, showed their respect for a leader of a religion, they did not follow. That picture has his own place on the living room wall, as it was here before us. Coincidentally, again, my husband has recently discovered he is half Polish. So maybe that's why the Polish Pope was in our house to welcome us, and my husband especially home. My son hasn't spoken of any further spiritual attacks, but what concerns me is shortly after that foolish visit to that evil haunted house, one of my son's friends visited a so called 'white witch'. She said spirits were following them and they are angry, and that if my son and his friends returned to the haunted house something bad would happen to them. She also said one of them has a different magic that is more powerful than her magic. My son wondered if she meant him, as we believe and love Almighty God, even though we are sinners. My son's friend consulted this witch and soon after my son almost died from the car crash in July. Am I right, could my son be experiencing demonic vexation. Even though things are calm now, I know these eternal abominations can be very patient and strike, when least expected. Fr. Thady, should I bring my son to see you..?
You don't mention your son's father. Your son should not be consorting with pagans, particularly if he is naive. DAILY prayer of the ROSARY would solve your problems with the demonic. Get yourself and son consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and wear Her Scapular. You should learn your faith as it seems to me you know very little. Look up the FIFTEEN promises of the Rosary. In every APPROVED Marian apparition, the Holy Mother of God requests DAILY prayer of the Rosary. Once you are firmly established in this daily prayer, you will no longer fear the demonic.
What if he is a mystic father . Father the synod is not letting people bring up the abuses or abortion. I have heard that over and over. I question the validity of a synod that does not address the issues that caused so much harm and an exodus out of the church because of these betrayals. His promotion of a return to the reverence of Holy Eucharist is the best solution I have ever heard. I watch a lot of videos on our faith. I have listened to a number of exorcists who say that evil can't touch us, and curses will have no effect on us if we at least try to live in accordance with God, and frequent the sacraments. I understand that suffering is not necessarily an evil, though difficult to bare. We do hear conflicting comments, but I think we shouldn't credit Satan with too much power. Remember that this is God's creation, and evil will only be effective on us if we stray from God and don't repent. We all have to be sick and die at some stage, so I would say that it's not the consequence of diabolical action to be physically I'll.
I want to confession right before Coved hit. I was telling the priest, a visiting one, that I had just recovered from pneumonia and felt like I was getting it again, but I was willing to accept this if it was the will of God. The priest asked me if he could pray for me. I was surprised, and said yes. He prayed that the spirit of pneumonia would leave me. I got Coved but without the pneumonia!
@@joanswensen5634 I've had covid without any jabs, it knocked me for six, but I had no breathing issues. I question if there is anything like particular 'spirits' of illnesses. I've heard conflicting arguments where some seem to think that there are devil's under every stone. It would be more true in my view to accept the reality of spirits who are connected to the vices as opposed to virtues. We all have issues with vices to some extent, and at certain times of life, but if we have an underlying will not to offend God, but to please him, then we shouldn't worry unduly about the influence of personified evil. So prayer can be affective through petition to God for the recovery from illness, which are not inflicted, unless God himself has given us a cross. That's not to say that pure chance doesn't come into play, and that God allows it.

I too am often having to explain basic safety protocol to other people often on a regular basis. Like how it is never okay to leave a child or a person with disabilities in a VEHICLE which could become too cold, too hot, in a short period of time; or WHICH could be taken over by an evil doer too. I don't believe that we should be allowing Satan to make us both lose hope in one another and in the Lord's providence when it comes to being able to stay safe ourselves and being able to keep others safe too. Some handicapped women and handicapped men who cannot drive themselves around over time have acquired interesting ways to cope with that sort of thing if for example the driver of the vehicle is called out from behind the wheel in order to oversee or assist with their transfer from their wheelchair in the smaller specialized bus vehicle to the sidewalk. Empowering people with handicaps to believe in their own worth when it comes to them having the right to be following the safety rules too so that while they are coping with only disabilities they can speak up when safety rules are not being followed or whenever something mechanical does need to be fixed without fear of being regarded as less than would sure help too.

There is total chaos in many of the American cities. People are attacked and sometimes killed for no reason. In some States people can steal hundreds of dollars worth of goods and walk away without any repercussions, all these places have Democrats in the public offices. They are trying to defund the police. I'm a cradle Catholic and I left the place where I was born and raised, California. I live in a small town in Montana and I live across the street from a Traditional Latin Catholic Church. The pastor at the church is wonderful, he teaches us about spiritual warfare and blesses our homes. You're right about Satan, he can sniff out a weak person with attachments like a hound dog.
I don’t know how it is in Ireland. I wish our observance of Christmas in the US were a bit different. My grandmother always left her Christmas decorations up through February 2 the old Candlemas day and feast of the divine infant. I’m getting older. Are used to have a distinct season of Advent and then a season of Christmas followed by the season of epiphany. Things have changed and I don’t think it works as well. Personally I need to three consecutive little conjoined season for my personal observation for spiritual satisfaction not to mention enjoyment. I have seen the dark black shadow of the devil when I was alone in the house I rented in the past. I surrounded myself with the large holy bible from a priest borrowed by my sister. Aside from that I had holy water and holy salt and had many prayer books I always prayed with holy rosarys I prayed. Satan also attacks those who are deeply religious who attends holy mass w/holy communion and visits the blessed sacrament daily. It was really very difficult during those times. Now that I am old the evil one gives me so many sickness. After recovering from one comes another! MY FAITH NEVER FAILS ME BECAUSE GOD FATHER and JESUS CHRIST IS W/ME and with my daughter. I have been wondering if my 20 year old son is or has been experiencing demonic vexation after nearly losing his life in July this year.
5 minutes to midnight a loose horse raced out onto the motorway in the South of Ireland. The horse tore the roof off the car, my son was in, died on impact, and my son was left fighting for his life at the scene of a very freak accident.
He was rushed to hospital with severe brain and head injuries.
At one point, fearing he would die in hospital, I arranged for a Priest to give him the 'last rites', or 'anointing of the sick', as its called now.
You would think in 'Catholic Ireland', the hospital would have arranged this, but NO !! I had to fight to save my son's soul, even if there was little hope left for his body.
With a broken heart, I saw 2 Priests before I could ensure my son's soul would be saved.
The first Priest, while sympathetic, seemed lost in science. Initially, he didn't see the spiritual urgency my son was facing, until I told him a story of when I was a young nurse in England, I got a phone call from a dying patient's family, who were living in Ireland. They were worried that their relative would die, without the help of a Priest.
I assured them I'd arrange for a Priest and they were relieved when I told them I was a 'Plashtic'. British born person of Irish parents, immersed in Irish culture.
My dying patient was very weak, and hadn't long left in this world. From a nursing view point, all I could do was to ensure dignity and comfort. I did arrange for our hospital Catholic Chaplain to see the patient. It was my night duty shift and it was very late when the Priest arrived.
I pulled the curtains around the Priest and patient to give them privacy. All was very peaceful. Until suddenly, I could hear forceful shouting from behind the curtain, coming from the patient who was too weak to breath normally, never mind actually speak !!
This gave me quite a fright ! Within seconds the poor Priest emerged from the curtains quite shaken too !!
I was admonished for calling the Priest when the patient clearly didn't want him, but until the Priest approached the patient, the patient had been too weak to talk !! The patient clung to life during my night shift, but did die the following day.
When I recounted this story to that first Priest, who was lost in science, he actually cried and forwarded me onto a Priest who would help my critically injured son.
The following evening I attended his Mass and he included my son in the offerings, for which I am very grateful.
The Priest I was forwarded onto gave absolution to my son as part of the holy ritual, 'anointing of the sick'. Coincidentally this Priest was a fellow student of my former Parish Priest, for whom my son, with his brother, served Mass. God sure does serve up those coincidences, for some reason.
After a while and alot of prayer and Masses from me, family, friends and one of the Patricks from the 2 Patricks, my son was discharged from hospital, but not without problems and next to no support.
He has had set backs and I've had to return him to hospital on several occasions. With the help of God, I'm confident he'll improve. He truly has made a remarkable recovery. Thank you God.
Until very recently I have had to fully financially support my son, on top of nursing him at home.
For almost 5 months despite applying for financial aid, nothing came. My mother felt such pity she gave us money to cope, even though she's very elderly. Thankfully my son now has some financial support and has been able to keep the bailiffs from the door. Before his accident he was a university student, who got a loan from the Bank of Ireland. Even though they were aware of his accident, they still hounded him for payment. I had to clear some of his debt.
Compounded with my son recovering from his injuries; me battling with neurology, who discharged him with no support; the bank crying for the loan to be rightly repaid; the financial assistance that took months to arrive; the Gardaí (Irish police) were looking to convict my son for driving without insurance !! He wasn't the driver.
The car he was in wasn't his and the owner of the car, also involved in the crash lied to Gardaí out of fear because he had been allegedly drug driving and moved my son from his front passenger seat to apparently resuscitate him, before the emergency response team arrived. My son did suffer brain seizures at the crash site and insists he died for a few minutes.
He said during those minutes he was in a dark room with no windows, but felt such peace he didn't want to come back to life.
Why do I wonder if my son is the victim of demonic vexation ? Because of the series of bad luck/happenings just stated, which I feel are the results of my son and his friends foolishly visiting an evil haunted house in Northern Ireland, a few months before his accident .
I won't mention the name of the house. I don't want to inspire anyone who reads my words to go searching for evil there. Look for Satan and you'll surely find him. This particular house is apparently a place where black magic rituals have and maybe still are performed. There are also rumours of punishment beatings and worse by nefarious members of ungodly society.
Post lockdown, with hardly anywhere for youngsters to go for a night out my son and his friends went across the border to Northern Ireland. They heard of a haunted house and thought it would be exciting to visit. Not really believing in the supernatural, they were looking for a fun night out.
On the grounds of the old rambling house, my son saw an entity/ghost/demon. The others each saw something too.
I'm nearly sure they also experienced unholy visions in the house too.
With fear they ran as fast as they could toward the car and manage to escape unharmed.
When my son finally got home to the West of Ireland, he was beyond scared, as he recounted his frightening experience.
After telling him off for looking for evil and finding it, I told him to get to Knock Apparition Shrine for confession and receive Jesus for forgiveness and protection. Knock Shrine is only 1 hour away from where we live and although its hard to receive Jesus on the tongue there, at least daily confession is offered.
I thought he had gone to bed but when I checked his room in the morning, he was missing.
With panic I phoned him. Turned out he drove to Knock Apparition Shrine and slept in the car, on the grounds waiting for the Reconciliation Chapel to open for confession. He received the sacrament of confession.
However soon after, he started experiencing nightmares of demons appearing to him and him praying in his nightmares to rid them. He also saw flashes of spiritual entities to waking life. He even even saw something in our neighbour's garden. He says he never saw anything on our own property. Our home is consecrated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. I have plenty of sacramental pictures and statues in our home for protection and love.
Before we moved in the Asians who lived here left incense they were using to worship their own deities. With my neighbour, we sprinkled blessed salt around the house, before moving our furniture in. We discovered a picture of our Polish Pope St. John Paul ii, under the stairs. The fact that the former inhabitants did not discard the picture, showed their respect for a leader of a religion, they did not follow.
That picture has his own place on the living room wall, as it was here before us.
Coincidentally, again, my husband has recently discovered he is half Polish. So maybe that's why the Polish Pope was in our house to welcome us, and my husband especially home.
My son hasn't spoken of any further spiritual attacks, but what concerns me is shortly after that foolish visit to that evil haunted house, one of my son's friends visited a so called 'white witch'.
She said spirits were following them and they are angry, and that if my son and his friends returned to the haunted house something bad would happen to them. She also said one of them has a different magic that is more powerful than her magic.
My son wondered if she meant him, as we believe and love Almighty God, even though we are sinners.
My son's friend consulted this witch and soon after my son almost died from the car crash in July.
Am I right, could my son be experiencing demonic vexation. Even though things are calm now, I know these eternal abominations can be very patient and strike, when least expected.
Fr. Thady, should I bring my son to see you..?
May your son make a complete recovery. Anyone who walks with Jesus can call down God's blessing and protection.
You don't mention your son's father. Your son should not be consorting with pagans, particularly if he is naive. DAILY prayer of the ROSARY would solve your problems with the demonic. Get yourself and son consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and wear Her Scapular. You should learn your faith as it seems to me you know very little. Look up the FIFTEEN promises of the Rosary. In every APPROVED Marian apparition, the Holy Mother of God requests DAILY prayer of the Rosary. Once you are firmly established in this daily prayer, you will no longer fear the demonic.
What if he is a mystic father . Father the synod is not letting people bring up the abuses or abortion. I have heard that over and over. I question the validity of a synod that does not address the issues that caused so much harm and an exodus out of the church because of these betrayals. His promotion of a return to the reverence of Holy Eucharist is the best solution I have ever heard. It is what has kept me in the church in spite of the abuses .And does he have a spiritual director?

Can the evil one make people sick I’ve got arthritis & a cyst on my Spain . My daughter has a lung deceased at 22 . I watch a lot of videos on our faith. I have listened to a number of exorcists who say that evil can't touch us, and curses will have no effect on us if we at least try to live in accordance with God, and frequent the sacraments. I understand that suffering is not necessarily an evil, though difficult to bare. We do hear conflicting comments, but I think we shouldn't credit Satan with too much power. Remember that this is God's creation, and evil will only be effective on us if we stray from God and don't repent. We all have to be sick and die at some stage, so I would say that it's not the consequence of diabolical action to be physically I'll.
I want to confession right before Coved hit. I was telling the priest, a visiting one, that I had just recovered from pneumonia and felt like I was getting it again, but I was willing to accept this if it was the will of God. The priest asked me if he could pray for me. I was surprised, and said yes. He prayed that the spirit of pneumonia would leave me. I got Coved but without the pneumonia!
@@joanswensen5634 I've had covid without any jabs, it knocked me for six, but I had no breathing issues. I question if there is anything like particular 'spirits' of illnesses. I've heard conflicting arguments where some seem to think that there are devil's under every stone. It would be more true in my view to accept the reality of spirits who are connected to the vices as opposed to virtues. We all have issues with vices to some extent, and at certain times of life, but if we have an underlying will not to offend God, but to please him, then we shouldn't worry unduly about the influence of personified evil. So prayer can be affective through petition to God for the recovery from illness, which are not inflicted, unless God himself has given us a cross. That's not to say that pure chance doesn't come into play, and that God allows it.

I too am often having to explain basic safety protocol to other people often on a regular basis. Like how it is never okay to leave a child or a person with disabilities in a VEHICLE which could become too cold, too hot, in a short period of time; or WHICH could be taken over by an evil doer too. I don't believe that we should be allowing Satan to make us both lose hope in one another and in the Lord's providence when it comes to being able to stay safe ourselves and being able to keep others safe too. Some handicapped women and handicapped men who cannot drive themselves around over time have acquired interesting ways to cope with that sort of thing if for example the driver of the vehicle is called out from behind the wheel in order to oversee or assist with their transfer from their wheelchair in the smaller specialized bus vehicle to the sidewalk. Empowering people with handicaps to believe in their own worth when it comes to them having the right to be following the safety rules too so that while they are coping with only disabilities they can speak up when safety rules are not being followed or whenever something mechanical does need to be fixed without fear of being regarded as less than would sure help too.

I know it’s a little of depression I take anti depressants to help me. Which they do work. But sometimes I just want to sleep. I am busy mom. All the load is on me. My husband provides and works. There is total chaos in many of the American cities. People are attacked and sometimes killed for no reason. In some States people can steal hundreds of dollars worth of goods and walk away without any repercussions, all these places have Democrats in the public offices. They are trying to defund the police. I'm a cradle Catholic and I left the place where I was born and raised, California. I live in a small town in Montana and I live across the street from a Traditional Latin Catholic Church. The pastor at the church is wonderful, he teaches us about spiritual warfare and blesses our homes. You're right about Satan, he can sniff out a weak person with attachments like a hound dog.

I don’t know how it is in Ireland. I wish our observance of Christmas in the US were a bit different. My grandmother always left her Christmas decorations up through February 2 the old Candlemas day and feast of the divine infant. I’m getting older. Are used to have a distinct season of Advent and then a season of Christmas followed by the season of epiphany. Things have changed and I don’t think it works as well. Personally I need to three consecutive little conjoined season for my personal observation for spiritual satisfaction not to mention enjoyment. Perhaps be willing to bless us with some reflections about honoring the season.
I'm afraid I'm not great on the outward observances. I often find myself praying that people's hearts be as well lit up as many of their homes.
