About The Museum of Classic Chicago Television:
The Museum of Classic Chicago Television's primary mission is the preservation and display of off-air, early home videotape recordings (70s and early 80s, primarily) recorded off of any and all Chicago TV channels (or other cities occasionally); footage which would likely be lost if not sought out and preserved digitally. Even though (mostly) short clips are displayed here, we preserve the entire broadcasts in our archives - the complete programs with breaks (or however much is present on the tape), for historical preservation. For information on how to help in our mission, to donate or lend tapes to be converted to DVD, and to view more of the 4,700+ (and counting) video clips available for viewing in our online archive, please visit us at:

GREAT SONGS!
Oh, how I remember this ad so well!
Forty years later, it’s the playlist on MeTV FM! 😉
I remember that these mail-order music collections were among the last to still be available on 8-track (through the 1980s) long after the major labels had abandoned the format.
I know. I remember them still offering 8 track as late as 1986 on these compilation ads.
4 to 6 weeks for delivery ???? Lol... Now it's 4 to 6 days.
Looks like those 2 had a long day on the yacht and now just needed to romance to some yacht rock.
These commercials used to come on the tv so frequently, I could remember the song order and sing the whole commercial when I was bored.
Ha Ha Yes. I also remember that one called 'Secret Love" where the couple was in front of the fireplace. At one point he goes in for a kiss and she playfully pushes him away.
Ironically another company (Heartland Music) put out a "Magic Moments" album set in the 90's with 70's and 80's tracks. Found a copy of that today.
I bought this album! Well, my parents paid for it. Still have it somewhere. Didn't know what C.O.D. meant. I was only 9 then.
C. O. D. is short for cash on delivery. The abbreviation is in the dictionary.
@@lynnboyer6643 yes. I know that now, thank you. Like I mentioned, I was 9 at the time. 🙄
This has been rebranded as "yacht rock".Not sure why.😂
Me neither. I suppose just having any other boat isn't enough.
Is the 8 track still not available in any store? Asking for a friend.
All 1970's into the early 1980's.
"Not available in any store" (even if they DID want it)
It probably would have sold a decent amount in the stores to the MOR fans.
I knew nearly all these songs ....
Not sure if that is good or bad.
It's good compared to the crap that passes for music today.
Poor dude got his mom's hair.
Late Edit: Jebus, I just found one on Ebay!
And her sweater.
Sam Kinison without the weight.
I went and looked on Ebay for it too. That guy looks like he spent 2 hours with his mens Schick style dryer. I can smell the Pierre Cardin through the screen.
@@Fang67RAM I think that's the same sweater "Peter" wore when he came home for Christmas in that 1980's Folgers ad ?....LOL
@@hoagie1978 Is that the one where he has the hots for his sister?
But look at one of the titles shown - "Don't Cry Outloud"? Not the first or last time there was no spell check before such titles were typed onto the CG.
The auditory version of walking on LEGOs with bare feet. 😖
